If they gave it the premium package with the bose system in it with a digital cluster like they got in other countries with the n line it would be a lot more popular. Same here. It is going to really come down to price and how much better the SI handles than this. Interior quality too - if the new SI is anything like the current gen it will have very cheap interior. The Elantra can easily be haggled/rebated down to $21k as well
Great review. How would you compare this to the Kia Forte GT? I’m looking at both (in 6 speed manual) but I think I prefer the look of the Forte GT more plus with the Kia incentives you can get one for around 19-20k with the manual. Is it worth spending a extra couple thousand for the newer Elantra N Line with the same engine as the Forte GT
This is a year too late, but I prefer the forte gt. It has a nice interior, full leather seats, bigger screen, and better styling. But that's just my opinion

I'm not too surprised that this car, as good as it is, falls a bit short in sporty-ness when compared to Civic Si. But Honda has been on the hot hatch market far longer than Hyundai has. But Hyundai is catching up to their Japanese rival fast from the look of things.
I wish this got the all digital display from the limited as well a dual exhaust on both sides so it looks symmetrical. The back seat is definitely a prison cell lol
I love how even in an automatic or DCT Hyundai makes the shift knob look so damn appealing like almost as if it were a manual. I have almost the same shift knob, even the leather wrapped around it in my '18 Elantra value edition, minus the N logo and red stitches. Hyundai has come a long way.
Ok, I literally sat in a Elantra N-Line just like your review car about an hr ago and a red Sonata N-Line too. I always love Sundays, when the dealerships are closed. 🙂 The N-Line treatment of the Elantra looks far better than any other trim. The larger wheels and much more aggressive stance and styling enhancements are spot on. I have 2 real zonks on the Elantra N-Line, the first, which also is true of every 2021 Elantra is the brittle almost hollow feeling plastic that makes up the large grab handle in the center console. The idea is good, but the execution is dreadful. The rest of the materials seem pretty solid overall though. The second zonk is the lack of LED headlights, which immediately makes the Forte GT a much better value. With the GT2 package, the Forte is even better equipped as well. The Forte GT is also a bargain at the moment with dealer discounts and finance specials. The best thing though is that both the Elantra and Forte GT have an available 6spd manual. #savethemanual Anyone interested in a Kia should check out Koons Kia of Woodbridge, Va. The deals which you can see online are extraordinary. By the way, I live in Tn, and I am not a Kia salesman. Just happened to discover the dealer online one day. Oh yeah, the answer to the question in your title: No, I don't believe the Elantra N-Line compares favorably to the 2020 Civic Si, especially in chassis performance. Or the Forte GT for that matter. Can't wait for the new Civic Si and Type R.
Joe I think you meant the Elantra has been around for 30 years not 20 years. And the manual is a 6 speed manual not an 8 speed 😂 Great video Joe. Very entertaining
Me too! I was really torn between the two. But when it came down to looks I might go with the Elantra, I like their LED lights better. Going to the dealership today to test drive it and if I like it I’ll get it.
It’s fantastic for the money. I have the 18 Elantra sport and love it. I considered the civic R but couldn’t justify the money. Hyundai hit the nail on the head. Reliable, efficient and fun.
I’m glad I purchased a 2020 GT N-Line instead. It looks ok, but it’s not my style. I prefer a hatchback (the i30 they have in Europe, for example). My car has air vents in the back seat area, and while not as spacious, my panoramic sunroof and leather seats are way better than the ones in the review. I love your reviews, so keep them coming. Your reviews are one of the few I seem to enjoy, Twinkies and all.
Have you considered a third camera angle for the driving experience sections? Also consider RUclips's chapters that work with timestamps so that viewers can skip around to certain parts of the video as they please.
The N Line's front bumper is freakin nice, to me, due to the 2 bottom corner air intake grill designs. I like it. Better than the regular for sure but i like both. This N Line though, overall. Wow! Not what i expected. I'm pleasantly surprised.

The Forte GT is also a bargain at the moment with dealer discounts and finance specials. The best thing though is that both the Elantra and Forte GT have an available 6spd manual. #savethemanual
Anyone interested in a Kia should check out Koons Kia of Woodbridge, Va.
2017 sport model will always be the best looking one
Yea, crazy they killed it so quick
Joe I think you meant the Elantra has been around for 30 years not 20 years. And the manual is a 6 speed manual not an 8 speed 😂
Great video Joe. Very entertaining
Yeah the Elantra looks nice
The sonata too
But damn. I wish the 2022 Azera was available in America 😍
Thanks for letting me share it with you.
The senota is freaking ugly
@@slowspecv69 I wouldn’t say ugly but unique styling
@@slowspecv69 it’s definitely subjective, but that’s Hyundai. All their cars are hit or miss depending on the audience
Noah...I guess you mean the Azera? Yes, it's called Grandeur in Korea and it's a fantastic car. Truly a Lexus ES rival.
Definitely do more videos like these! Trying to decide between Elantra N-Line and Forte GT!
Me too! I was really torn between the two. But when it came down to looks I might go with the Elantra, I like their LED lights better. Going to the dealership today to test drive it and if I like it I’ll get it.
This is a decent car but with the competition these days decent isn’t good enough
It’s fantastic for the money. I have the 18 Elantra sport and love it. I considered the civic R but couldn’t justify the money. Hyundai hit the nail on the head. Reliable, efficient and fun.
Good behind review!!!!🔥
Thanks Trevon!
@@RaitisRides you welcome!!!
You gotta let us know your favorite car of each category!
Will do Emilio.
@@RaitisRides yessss❗️❗️
I’m glad I purchased a 2020 GT N-Line instead. It looks ok, but it’s not my style. I prefer a hatchback (the i30 they have in Europe, for example). My car has air vents in the back seat area, and while not as spacious, my panoramic sunroof and leather seats are way better than the ones in the review.
I love your reviews, so keep them coming. Your reviews are one of the few I seem to enjoy, Twinkies and all.
I love the analog displays. It will be a sad day when every dashboard goes digital.
Have you considered a third camera angle for the driving experience sections? Also consider RUclips's chapters that work with timestamps so that viewers can skip around to certain parts of the video as they please.
They somehow managed to make the exhaust sound less appealing than my 18 sport. Ouch.
I know right!
Dude I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to trade in my 18 sport for one of these
The N Line's front bumper is freakin nice, to me, due to the 2 bottom corner air intake grill designs. I like it. Better than the regular for sure but i like both. This N Line though, overall. Wow! Not what i expected. I'm pleasantly surprised.
