In this video, I'm sharing why I think the MG Astor should be more popular with buyers. The MG Astor is a stylish SUV that offers a lot of of equipment as well as safety kit and great value for the price.

It's almost 11 months owning this master piece, totally in awe of it ! I have a running of 1500 Kms / month, the avg. it gives me around 12.5 - 14 kmpl for the Super CVT (1.5Ltr) petrol engine.
Cons:
A. There is no night lamp at the middle/ back for the people sitting at the back.
B. This car is not meant to race at the red lights.
C. Sometimes the AI unit is annoying, especially when you are in the middle of the song and Astor warns about a possible event in the front. This shud be manually turned off/ on.
Pros:
A. Gives the sense of luxury when you are sitting / driving.
B. No outside noise comes in, even the engine noise is very silent or negligible.
C. 360 degree camera gives the perfect view for parking spots.
D. 2.5 PM Filter built in AC gives a way more clearner and comfortable air to breathe, especially in Delhi/ NCR.
That's my 2 paise feedback !
Some people say it gives single digit average
Astor is a top class suv. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an SUV in this segment.
If you are looking for a feature rich safe car unde 15 lakhs, just go for it.

Astor is an excellent SUV. It offers a great combination of style, features, performance, safety, and value for money.

2 things that I like about this car:-

a)GREAT LOOKS
b)premium interiors right from base variant which no other mid size SUV'S Offer
2 CONS:-
a)Middle seat passenger will be very uncomfortable because of high set hump
b)base variant is actually very feature loaded but only 2 front speakers instead of 4..That's a bummer
Rear middle seat is quite ok bro, you can handle it as a middle seat passanger

@@AjayKumar-ix3vo Considering the competition and the norms because they are more of a family SUV's the High set hump is actually considered to be a thing on which your car decision is based nowadays..me being a six footer I sat in the car and found it weird that it's a basic thing that MG forgot to solve..

photo me toh mast lag rahi hai, road me or bhi jabardast lagegi, black color gaadi ke looks ko aur badha deta hai.
Black cars to love hai yaar, well ye aur bhi mast dikhne wali hai.
I've seen it on road, aur looks ke hisab se b ye kaafi acchi hai, but iske interiors bahut premium hai.
Its a good car which feels solid, drives well is feature loaded and the turbo is extremely refined and powerful.
This car should have sold better.
MG's after sales service is also excellent at most places.
Completely agreed, Astor is a veryt good option in the segment and the looks and performance is top notch.
Astor ke perfect car hai or choti family ke liye car perfect choice hai mere hisaab ye car iss segment me sabse best hai.
This car is really a good and vfm car in the segment. Firstly the build quality is superb. Performance wise, interior and features loaded car.

My feedback after 1 year.
Pros.
1. Sturdy and Stable
2. Silent inside the cabin.
3. Spacious cabin.
4. Inbuilt port for connecting dash cam near rear view mirror.
5. Some adas features are really useful like adaptive cruise control, pedestrian auto braking and collision warning, blind spot warning . Others i really didnt get a chance to use it on our busy roads.
6. One thing that people got inside my car appreciated was the red interiors. The material and the color gives it a pleasant and premium look.
7. Happy with the periodical services.
8. App connectivity is ok.
Cons
1. Very low mileage- 6-8 in city traffic condition, max of 10.5 in normal city traffic at early house and 13-14 in highways.
2. Scratching noise at times- Told by service supervisor that its because of adas braking motor getting engaged. Its really annoying as it happens all of a sudden when u are driving smooth and enjoying the drive.
3. Infotainment glitches- by the time reverse camera view comes you would have finished taking reverse and would be ready to go formard. At times it never opens also. Some times it opens and then closes and again opens.
4. AT has lag in drive mode which is slightly reduced when u drive in sports mode. Since I haven’t driven any other Torque Converter AT I dont know how good or bad it is.
5. Though inside plastic looks good and high quality its actually not. The ac vents air direction control was broken within few days. Panel around hazard light switch came out when i used it for the first time itself.
6. The bot is really useless. It doesnt really understand our comments and also interfere when we are having casual talks inside our car.
7. The navigation system used doesn’t contain vast information like in google map so its really hard to find the place we are searching for the route data is also not reliable.
8. Only having normal USB port and not type-C. Wireless charging was not my concern.
9. Checking air in the spare wheel is not possible when filling air at petrol pumps.
10. No charging port at back.
I would recommend this car if,
1. Looking for a premium look.
2. Decent power and performance.
3. Mileage is not your concern.
What is your take when compared with top variant of Honda Elevate?
MG doing good business in India .
Best car to own. Can’t judge a car basis the sales. Maruti sells well and ford is out of our country. Well built and solid quality. Ride quality is awesome

To be honest Mg engines are just horrendously tuned, I have driven Hector, Gloster, Astor all of them have lethargic engines. Engines lack grunt, the Astor is a fabulous car but the engine and gearbox let's it down.
You drove the 1.5 naturally aspirated engine. Drive the turbo.

Sir NA engine power aur milage dono main is segment ke baki car se bahut piche he. Isliye Kum bikti hae.
Purchased MG Astor Petrol CVT in December 2023. Driven only 1500 kms, already facing electrical faults like "Engine fault, Auto Hold Fault, Cruise control Fault, Hill decent fault". Worst experience with any car purchased so far.
What's the mileage?

Dost sirf height badhane se kuch nahi hone wala iski water wading capacity aapki fav suv se jyada hi hogi.
Bhai height bas se kya hoga, iska ground clearance so called SUVs se badhiya hai.
Sorry to say .. backwash Hai... too much noise .. too less on power.. yes few unnecessary features and bit good look..
Drive the turbo. When Innova can't keep up with that.

Try 1.5ltr 4 cylinder engine bro, it will give you enough power to make you feel the adrenaline rush.

Its not selling because everyone knows mg owned by chinese and also it looks small like a hatchback..
It looks more like a coupe than a hatch. FYI, it's the longest and tallest in the segment. Get your measurements right.
@@kmrjt1 u check fact. Astor length 4323 mm, seltos 4365mm, grand vitara 4345 mm.. Astor looks like small car from front and rear.. Its chinese nobody buying it.. Nobody will buy in resale also
@@ns8243 Volvo is Chinese, people buy it. If people can be dumb enough to buy Korean tin cans such as Seltos, no reason to not buy MG cars. They are much better built. The Astor sells in European Union and UK in good numbers. Seltos doesn't and is built subpar to its EU counterparts.
@@kmrjt1 oh yes chinese people buy it.. They got lots of people there.. Never compare cars made by same company in one country with other country.. VW makes bad built(not crash test, thats frame) fit and finish in india but makes gud quality cars in US and europe.. MG is not big company also sells most cars in china.. No cars in US but few in uk.. Bad brand value worldwide.. Hundai and kia is worldwide company, sells gud nmbrs in US and europe. Hundai fit and finish and engine far better than mg.. MG resale and future doubt in india. No cars in top 25 selling cars in india.. Just google it
