Very personal review it sounds like you were impressed with this vehicle, enjoyed your comentary, you are getting more confident, I would have liked to see the trunk space
Thanks Jodie. I really did like it (as you can tell ha ha). I didn't do my usual walk around apologies. I tried to cover the size of the trunk space at around 11:54 in the review but you're right, it was only verbal and a bit of b-roll footage. Confidence is growing for sure. Thanks again.
Peugeot is definitely nailing the exterior styling with their EVs... everything from the saber tooth lights to the striking colors looks great! Not totally sold on the interior from what I see here, though. The center console looks a bit dated and awkward, similar to the one I dislike in the ID.3/ID.4, and I prefer the open space direction of cars like the Nissan Ariya. No need for the driver to be so boxed in when there's no transmission tunnel to worry about. All in all, it sounds like another solid addition to the European EV range that will attract regular buyers with its looks, rather than go too far in the direction of "I'm electric!" visuals. Thanks for another enjoyable review... already looking forward to whatever's up next 👍
Thanks for the comment Steve. I think they feel they have to pack stuff in there so the driver has a sense of value (I've bought a car with lots of stuff). I'm looking forward to seeing the Ariya in the flesh, will you get to see it soon near you?
Great review Derek. You hit all the points we've found with our e-208, I only wish that I could drive ours more at the moment. I think the GT Line is the sweet spot in the Irish trim levels and for me, the Blue, Red and Yellow all make the car look great, the bold colours work well with the black accents. Review style is developing nicely, keep it up.
Thanks for the comment and feedback Keith. I really appreciate it. I agree re the GT Line. I haven't seen any red e-208 in person yet but I assume it's the same red as the e-2008? 17 reviews in so starting to find a rhythm and small incremental improvements. Some mistakes here and there but we're all human. Thanks again.
@@NevoEVReviewIreland yes same red (Elixir Red) on the e-208 and e-2008. I've been pre-recording tutorials for students for a few years and delivering live lectures online since the first lockdown and it takes time to build confidence as well as learn what works in the edit etc. I've definitely come to appreciate that the only way to develop is to just make content and incrementally improve, plus 90% of the mistakes that you see/hear are not noticed by others.
Great review, we're getting these down in NZ over the next few months and I'm quite keen on one. I'm not a fan of yellow, however the Pug and Renault yellow is really lovely to my eyes, like it's a kind of metallic/pearl gold yellow. Can this be charged at home with a three pin plug?
Thanks for the comment and question Mark. Great to hear they are coming to NZ and it's a nice colour alright. It can be charged at home but really the 3 pin plug is for emergency situation. I'd recommend a fitted wall domestic wall charger
I am currently looking for a new small car. Damn miserly of Peugeot in 2020 not to include heated seats in the GT Line version - either electric or ICE. You can't even spec them as an option on GT Line models without paying for full leather (an eye watering £1,400). Winter is nearly here & I wouldn't contemplate a new car without heated seats - or at least a stand alone cost option. You have lost a buyer there Peugeot UK. Other than that - a very nice car...
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Derek, there aren't too many small cars that stand out at the moment. I don't need a big car any longer. I've looked at the new Mk.8 Golf, the new Clio and obviously the new 208 GT Line. I've also been reading up & watching RUclips car videos in their thousands lol !!! I've only got a couple more weeks before I have to order a new car and I'm STILL unsure what to get!
Oh d e a r, the sheer sense of deprevation you clearly feel because.... there's...no heated seat facility. How on earth will you survive, poor soul? My heart goes out to you. Hiiffttjjj!
How do you turn off that mega annoying jingle which assails the ear immediately you open the driver's door? Why on earth is it there in the first place? Stupidity on stilts.
Thanks for the comment David. I've no idea sorry. I actually didn't notice it and I've had the car for 4 months. Just handed it back so can't even check now.

Excellent and informative review. Really easy to listen to style.
Thanks for the comment and feedback Noel. RTE haven't been on to me yet 🤣🤣
Hi Derek, I really like how thorough your reviews are on the EVs, also the variety (van, scooter).
Thanks Jeffrey for the comment. I appreciate the feedback and variety is the spice of life 😉
Tempted to take this one for a test drive! Nice review!
Thanks for the comment Clare. I'd highly recommend it.
This video showed up just after i had my test drive today (it was so good) i ordered the e208 allure pack, same color :)
Good choice! I wonder if RUclips knows what you are doing.....😮

Love the colour! Nice to have some bold colour, and it really shows off the design of the car.
Thanks for the comment Brian. I don't know how people don't the yellow but everyone is different.
Really nice drone shots! Great looking car as well!
Thanks for the comment Tony. Appreciate the feedback.

I’ve had the Faro Yellow GTLine since March and hands down it’s the best car I’ve ever owned, and I used to hate French cars.
Thanks for the comment. I love the colour and the build quality is as good as the rest of them. Safe driving.
I love the colour and scenery 😍
Thanks for the comment Patrycja. The colour is divisive but glad you lobe it too.

Would buy for colour alone.
Ha! Thanks Adam. It's really nice but as mentioned, some don't like it.
What's the Price Derek.
Looks like a decent car
Thanks for the question Joelking. In Ireland (after the grants) the e208 starts off at €26,809 for the active trim level. Hope that helps.

Critics of the 208 say the small steering wheel obstructs your view of the instrument panel. What are your thoughts on this ?
Thanks for the comment Ryan. I'm 6'2" and I can as adjust to see the panel no problem.
