Everyone really neglects the basslines when playing around with the star theme, but ever since it was introduced, it's been one of the most important parts of the song.
@@UltraNintendoChalmers64 Hightail Falls, Red Star, Ice Flower, Fire Flower are pretty well known ones, but things like the Race Ending theme and Beep Block ones are not as known
The "You got a star" theme and the "You got a grand Star theme" and i few more but since it was a while ago when i learned this i cant give say which other Songs in maeio galaxy are MIDI but i think 2 of the other ones where the "luma" theme and the "Red Star"/"lying mario theme" but not 100% sure. But the grand Star and normal Star collect theme i am 100% sure that they are MIDI from my memory. But in Mario galaxy 2 those two themes (grandstar & normal star themes) actually got live rerecorded by the galaxy 1/2 orchestra. Also an unused Remix of the redstar theme from galaxy 1 was found in the files of the galaxy 2 rom. Sadly it went used, like the redstar powerup itself in galaxy 2. Also a few funfacts: the ice cave music from mario odyssey is a Remix of the dusty dune galaxy from galaxy 1. The "You got a moon" theme from mario odyssey is a Remix of the sm64 "You got a star" theme. The "You got a Story moon" theme from mario odyssey is a Remix of the "You got a star theme" from galaxy 1/2. And last but not least the "You got a multimoon" theme from mario odyssey is a Remix of the "You got a grandstar" theme from super mario galaxy 1/2
I really like this! 👍🏽 Request: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Rainbow Star There are some difference’s between the song in Galaxy 1 and 2. In Galaxy 2, the strings from Channels 3 and 4 are completely gone and Channel 6 has changed a bit, I don’t know if Channel 6 was a different instrument or what.
How did you rip this? May you explain? Mainly I want to mostly know how you isolated the channels. Did you rip it using nw4r sound player or did you just convert to midi and soundfont.
TZ Gaming gave me all the midi/soundfont files from both Galaxy games and I compare my rip with the original audio to get a more accurate ADSR and volume mixing.
This music is so powerful that even the oscilioscope waves are rainbows.
2:39 Channel 2 by itself hits different

I consider the bassline important too.
as a sonic fan, i never underestimate the power of a good bassline
(see flying battery 1)
Its crazy how even when its all seperated, i can still hear the theme as if it was normal
Im invincible !
Channel 1,7:harpsichord
Channel 2:harp
Channel 3,4:strings
Channel 5:BASS
Channel 6:violin
Channel 8:drums
you've swapped the bass and violin in your comment
Unlike Double Dash, Galaxy utilizes sequenced music a LOT more in some places, so you'll have plenty of videos
Which ones? Do some of the level themes have sequenced music as well?
@@UltraNintendoChalmers64No
@@tobyisawesome That sucks. Are there any more songs though? Other than red star, that seems obvious.
@@UltraNintendoChalmers64 he's wrong some levels do, like hightail falls galaxy

This takes the 64 version to an outstanding level
I had no idea this track was midi, but it makes perfect sense since I've replenished stars before and continued the music

@iZePlays That's really interesting to hear about, thanks for listing out all the tracks
0:31 I don't know why but this gives me nostalgia
Channel 2 is so ✨✨✨
Each note (pitch) is a different color; neat.
Rainbow pitch is back! 🎉
I was dreaming of a channel that would do things like that with music with Nintendo, please please don't stop making videos.
Now that this one's done, I'm looking forward to the _other_ star theme in this game!
Could you do more oscilloscopes on Super Mario Galaxy? Awesome video by the way, love the oscilloscopes
I really like this! 👍🏽

This is whole new song 3:43
Does this mean that buoy base galaxy oscilloscope deconstruction is possible? Love the vids by the way!
More Mario Galaxy!! Yessssss!
3:11 To me the star theme in this game would always sound like this and the bass would come in on the 3rd loop.
perfection
We've came so far,
you should totally do the mario 3d land one next :troll:
2:49 Power Harp
Hey Orj I don't know if you do requests but could you do Teleporter from Super Mario Galaxy 2? sounds cool.
Channel 5 and 8 by themselves make it seem like SNES music, doesn't it?
Fun fact: Every 4 notes in channel 2 is C
Can you do the Dreamy somnom labyrinth from Mario and Luigi Dream Team ? I really love this song
🤩🌈⭐️

How in the world do you make oscilloscopes of anything after game cube
you have to luck out and have it be separate layers in the files, rather than just a wav file or smth
Do you have a download to the MIDI? I'd very much like to goof around with it.
Csn you tell me how did you do that? I want to download.
