A Wii U deconstruction
I'm surprised this is sequenced.
i bet its due to potential lag slowing the blocks down to keep them syncronized
No not at all.something i learn in ff7 is. Sequenced music free the disk access,so it can be used to stream something else than music. Like levels loading seamlessly.
i love that this song is 120 bpm, that means every time the blocks in game switch is exactly 4 seconds
Blast Block Skyway:
i'm probably dumb but i personally count 5 seconds between switching blocks
@@Deep_Blue_Studios maybe youre starting on 1 lol
@@derateddesign you were right haha thanks !
I loved counting the rhythm when I was little, going
1. 2. 3. 4.
[Beep] [beep] [beep] [click]
i like how electric guitar 2 is so melancholy & is followed up half the time by e. guitar 1 coming in like 🕺
Wasn’t aware there were Wii U songs that could be deconstructed, but this is a pleasant surprise to see. Can’t imagine there will be too many songs where this can be pulled off though.
I would hope Mount Must Dash could be done, but I'm guessing that song is streamed unfortunately
Mount Must Dash (Mustache)
Nintendo, you geniuses
I believe this specific song is a sequence file, or a .MIDI of some sort, as the different synths and samples can be singularily found in the game's files.
@@ArthurTheEagleI'm guessing because they need it to be synced for things like the blue and red boxes and online play.
@@wutadamit was sequenced in the original version too (which has no online play)
@@LatteWiiU they still would want it to be 100% accurate, which they can guarantee by sequencing it
I want just the "beeps" channel as my notification tone
FUNKY ASS BASS
HE HAS NO STYLE
HE HAS NO GRACE
THIS SONG HAS A FUNKY BASS
@@andyghkfilm2287 DK rap did lanky so dirty 😞
Electric guitar 1 goes so hard
Reminds me of turbo dismount
This is a very good level. The beep block levels in 3d land weren't spicy enough, and then 3d world said "Hot sauce is my favorite beverage" and gave us a very zesty level 🔥 😊. I still can't believe that baseline is sequenced as hot as it sounds 🥵.
3D Land was an appetizer, just to see if it would work. 3D World is what happened when it did work.
Every instrument is recorded. The thing is, I didn't know the audio stems were separated in the system.
@@FukiMakai Oh thank God. If thats true I can enjoy all the spiciness to the fullest 😊 🔥.
chatgpt ahh comment
Bro just forgot abt SMG2
BRO HAS TOO MUCH POWER😰
I've never seen a deconstruction for a recent game like this
Haha, recent, yeah....
*googles* IT CAME OUT 10 YEARS AGO?!?
@@tamanakio7552recent in terms of how basically no game in the last 20 years used non streamed audio for their soundtrack
@@shyguy85 Didn’t a ton of Mario games in the DS/Wii era use soundfonts?
Sequenced Music.
For the DS's case it was because there was mostly not enough cartridge space to store streamed audio or the playback would be unpleasant. @@hypanusamericanus9058
I’ve always wanted to see a full deconstruction of this song! Amazing work!
I know, right?!
Wow this is even more surprising than those Double Dash deconstructions to me! wth??
Absolute banger 👌
More surprising because Gamecube games usually (or always) used a chiptune-style design for their music, but most WiiU songs are orchestral, unless the song producers made them obviously 'fake'.
*gamecube usually has sequenced music while most wii u music is streamed
i actually dont know how true the second thing is, its actually very hard to tell digital vs live recordings sometimes
anyw the reason this song in particular is sequenced is probably (definitely) because the blocks are supposed to sync up with it. that way if the game lags or something the music wont desync from the blocks
@@flophawk Then Beep Block Galaxy could also be sequenced.
@@thesupervideogamenerdmore3171 yea maybe all i know is the rolling ball music is sequenced cuz of how many variations it has with the different rolling speeds
@@flophawk I imagined that. Making 4-6 slots of music for the same song is dumb.
I think they did something very similar to Sonic 3's special stage, the song changing rhythm midsong.
Beep beep beep switch!
_beep beep beep switch_
Oh hey, it's Isabelle.
_beep beep beep switch_
Beep beep beep *fall to death*
@@DittoGTI skill issue
really clever how those delayed synths fill up so much headroom and also ryhthmic space
I feel like with Mario soundtracks, the more “metric” you go with any particular line, the more CRAZY you go with the baseline.
And this track has a part that goes BEEP BEEP BEEP _BONK_ every two measures. That’s like, as metric as it can get.
Edit: I’m glad you opted to include the BONK part lol. 5:56
Lol that doesn't sound like Bonk at all it's more like a thunk
The bass line in this one goes insaaaaanely hard
@@TheRealBatabii yes but crucially “thunk” doesn’t start with a “B”, and “Bonk” is closest in that regard.
@@andyghkfilm2287I've always heard it as a deep click, kinda like flipping a big lever switch
I've always wanted to do this song for the SEGA Genesis. It's one of my favorites from 3D World.
Now it's deconstructed? I love this.
I am pleased that you remembered the beeps.
The flashbacks hit. This game holds a special place in my heart, and this is a great one to start the new year!
Beep beep beeeeep
@@pencileraser521I love this song too
I don't know why it's analyzed.
Thank you very much!!
science, there were instruments that I never knew existed, saw synth? never heard of that lmao
Teh choir synth is just so beutiful... and the entire song is a bit nostalgic
Those are actually midi files in the games? I figured they were probably just audio files at this point…
sequence files probably, because the song needs different tracks to go hand in hand (the beeps)
@@Charpurrr i noticed if you take damage ingame the music stops to not lose sync with the beeps
this sounds kinda good for a Rhythm Heaven Fever level!
controls would be:
Every beep except for last one : press A
On the last beep, hold A + B, release on the 'BONK'
and like there would be cues for how many beeps there'll be
like itll have a modified version of the song that has different numbers of beeps every 2 measures
I would love to see any Rareware game deconstructed, amazing Oscillope btw!!
The guitars in the lead memories give me Splatoon 1 vibes!!! I wonder if both games had similar sound teams during the Wii U era?
I love this dude, you do so good plus those sawtooth synthesizers are a great touch for this theme.
i love this track! thanks for deconstructing it :)
Best song in 3D world, now I can listen to it like this!
yesssss finally a deconstruction for this song 😄
Staring the new year strong, I see!
Hopefully you’re able to deconstruct one of my favorites which is Piranha Creeper Creek. I love that track. Nonetheless keep up the good work in these oscilloscopes 👍🏾
This goes to my favorites. Thank you!
3D World has possibly the best music of any Mario game, and it’s really cool to hear what went into it. Thanks!
Yo, this is really amazing!
This hits perfectly. Also a great tutorial to make your own mix of this song.
Props to everyone who watched the whole video
This did something just right for my brain
Banger
God damn it, this sounds funky as hell. Where can I find the audio samples to download?
all the sfx are ripped on sounds resource if you wanna dig through 1000 sfx lol
all of them are in the same area and not spread around tho so if u find the first one ur good
First video To name the instruments instead of just Channels
Ohh, i must have missed this, cool i love mario 3d world music
Wow cool!
This is very interesting for sure, not to mention how good the Beep Block Skyway music is to begin with
Very cool video! It would have been cool to see the four saw synth parts separated though, as it was hard to tell what they were doing individually.
that bass....its beautiful
IT'S CHRISTMAS AGAIN
Absolute banger this music.
oh no, he's gotten powerful
the electricx bass got some moves tho
That's dope
I really hope for more of these a Wii U deconstructions! My favourite game soundtracks are Wii U games
Electric bass sounds like a fender jazz
god that bass rocks
I came to the comments scared because this song while good can invoke horrors on the internet but I was pleasantly surprised to only see people not only talking about how good the song is but also praising 3d world after its resurgence on the switch.
One of the few times where I was brought to the good side of the internet for once.
1:27 gets me funky
I didn’t even realize you could deconstruct tracks from something as new as the Wii u???
you can if it's sequenced
I figure if a Wii U song such as this could be deconstructed, surely a Splatoon 1 song (particularly Octoweaponry) could be worked from the innards, but maybe not. I don't know.
I never knew this can be deconstructed.
Nintendo bout to copyright the hell out of this one 🔥🔥🔥
Full on Stereo Goodness 🫦
how did you deconstruct this wow this is amazing
4:40 DANG OK 3D WORLD
The electric bass has major Fall Guys vibes imo.
Hit dem folks on the every 9th beat😅
I was kinda hoping there was also a small section of JUST the Beeps so I could take the sample and add it to any song, but this deconstructed oscilloscope is good either way.
BEEP BEEP BEEP POW
What program did you use to extract the sequenced file?
Would you consider deconstructing any of these?
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 - Temporal Tower, Temporal Spire, Hidden Land, Hidden Highland, Dialga's Fight to the Finish
Pokemon Platinum/Legends Arceus - vs. Giratina
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team - Sacred Somnom Woods, Adventure's End, Never Let Up!
Celeste - Resurrections, No More Running, Golden, Confronting Myself, Beyond The Heart
Pokemon Black/White - Dragonspiral Tower, vs. Elite Four, vs. Legendary Pokemon
Dude this is really cool, Im not sure if you take requests, but is it possible you can deconstruct the music from super paper mario? if possible ofc
Can you do Mario Kart Tour Title Theme Deconstructed
Mkt is not midi
Every mario kart except 8 was not performed by live musicans, wich means mario kart tour use digital instruments instead of real ones
@@JeremyCardinal-tf5mnthe music is streamed end of story, digital instruments or not
I have seen sonic cd deconstructions even tought that ost is streamed
THANK YOU!!!! I just started doing a transcription of this song, this is gonna help so much. How did you do this?
I can't believe that they need 11 instruments to make this song.
I love you
4:08 Whole new song
you should deconstruct the Nintendo 3DS Camera Album theme
I highly recommend watching this with surround sound headphones. 🥴
Go in the description and you'll see a Google drive thing press it and you'll have the tracks!
This is probably one of the more random requests you’ve gotten, but could you please do Cavern Caprice from Donkey Kong Country 3?
I was about to donate 2$ and tell you that i really want you to deconstruct sm3dw tracks as possible since i would love to see them, turn on special thanks and I’ll send it in your next sm3dw deconstruction video👍
I might be delusional or something, but I have a feeling the electric bass in here is also from Wii Fit (Plus) from the game select menu.
Edit: At least at the beginning...
Beep beep beep *dies*
could you do athletic and overworld from new super mario bros 2
Wii U menu have midi can you do oscilloscope deconstruction?
I think this song in particular is a special case since it's sequenced, meaning that it can be deconstructed. the other songs in 3dw presumably aren't
Unless You Want To Access The Console's NAND, It's Impossible.
Is easy
@@ilikegetting You Want To Rip The Files From The NAND?
I dump my wii u nand in past
pls do more sm3dw deconstructions they are cool
(and bowsers fury if possible)
I'm honestly surprised this song is sequenced, considering how this soundtrack uses both real instruments and synths in most songs.
its amazing how much effort nintendo puts into creating a piece of music
I didn't know the stems were separated from the start
Well almost every 3D Mario, where’s Bowsers Fury?
I mean, that still runs off of the updated SM3DW engine, so I'd consider it as an extra piece of DLC.
Do more Mario 3d world, maybe double cherry pass?
Concert band rehearsal be like:
Is this song sequenced or just split into streamed channels?
Sequenced.
How you did that? I thought this wii u game music was full streamed
It is fully streamed but this song's an exception.
See, when you get a power-up or get hit, the game freezes a bit and so the song would be off sync with the beep blocks if it was streamed. That's why it's sequenced.
@@Orj_Osc thanks for the explanation!
With blast blocks, please.
No beeps?(megamind)
Then...
Beeps?!(also megamind meme)
Is this sequenced or multiple channels of a wav?
The entire song isn't a MIDI, but the song consists of sampled pieces which all have MIDIs, the game controls which sounds play when

Hey, so I was wondering if there's any way I could send you MIDI files for future videos. I have a few games you might be interested in, but I'm not sure of the best way to contact you for such purposes. Do you know how I can send them your way? Thanks.
I have a Discord but I don't want to post my username publicly, so I want yours instead.
@@Orj_Osc Yeah I don't really post my Discord publicly either, sorry.
have either of you considered a business email
how the hell did you do this
To be fair, I just did the loops, the deconstruction and the video. TZ Gaming extracted the soundfont and recreated the track, then he sent it to me. So I can't really tell how to do that. 😅
Here's his channel btw : www.youtube.com/@tzgaming_music
i think there's a difference with the bass with the in game version and the OST version at 8:53
the OST version is live recorded and the game version is sequenced
for the bass that is, maybe the electric guitar too
@@tzgaming_music ah that makes sense then
now recompose it but in 12/8
