If you have a car and the serpentine belt broke and you want to know how long you can drive without serpentine belt we will explain that in this video today. It is very important once the serpentine brakes to pull over at a safe place and fix the problem. Most cars are made were you cannot drive without serpentine belt for a long time. Often the serpentine belt drives the alternator, a/c compressor, power steering, and the water pump. If you drive without belt it can cause your car to loose power steering which could be dangerous. Driving without belt can cause your car to quickly overheat and destroy the engine if the water pump is driven by the belt and not being electric water pump. Another thing, if you keep driving without belt the alternator will not be charging and eventually your car battery will die and that can lead to accidents too. We will not recommend to drive without belt unless your car permits so.
