omg you guys are awesome! I just got my Gen 6 iPad's screen fixed & it kept telling me to use Itunes and for the last 2 days I had been racking my brain trying to download Itunes. When it clicked in your head the fact they built the lighting connections into the new model macs (going to locations in finder) I yelled BINGO. Genius ! Thanks so much!

Thanks. The reset all settings worked for me. Then I was able to install the new iPadOS directly to the iPad. I did not have to connect to my Mac

Omg my ipad was saying my storage was full and I deleted sooo many thing which I had then I got fed up searched for a video that would help and oh my god I watched about 6 videos to try nothing helped then I came across your video it ... Been having problems with most of the IOS 15 updates, some updates finally installed on there own. 15.6 though always stuck on “verifying update” every time, but this morning after being stuck all night, I tried the simm card trick, even though I don’t have one installed. As soon as I released the holder the update started and installed.
So my uncle(s) are very tetchy and I have an iPad mini, he said it was to old to update and I know he’s right but this is what I’m wondering is there a way to install it still?

THANK YOUUUUU I COULDNT UPLOAD ONE OF MY GAME AND THE POWER OFF TRICK WORKED THANK YOU SO MUCH
So I couldn’t update my iPad Pro 5th gen to 15.7.1 because it gave the error I wasn’t connected to the internet. Tried everything but eventually was able to update to iPad OS 16 via Finder.
I’m still one update away from being able to use the new Freeform app (16.2) but now when I click software update it gives the error “Unable to Check for Update”. Now it’s stuck like that forever. Updating via Finder doesn’t work either.
Am I screwed or is there way to backup and do a fresh install with getting all my data back?

I have a question...on the IPad, if you swipe all the way to the right, you seen the widgets. At the bottom of the widgets, there is an edit button....if you tap that, the first option is keep on home screen....I don’t see any difference if this is on or off

Not really helpful for a person who has a PC. I can't upload the ios 12.
My iPad is currently IOS 8.0 and I am trying to connect to my computer to update. (That's what my iPad says to do) The problem here is that whenever I connect my charger to my computer, it will charge my iPad for 1 second and then it will not. Then that keeps happening. Do you think maybe the charger is too old or maybe I shouldn't be using a charger. Thanks just in case.

I tried everything apart from the DFU restore, and nothing worked. If downloading from the pc fails to update, is it dangerous to try a DFU restore? I am very surprised because my iPad is in perfect condition, and it was updating fine until now.
I hate that they took it out of iTunes! Came across that issue on a friends MacBook that was updated to Catalina. Grrrrrrr
I’ve stayed on Mojave’s for that and a few other reasons.

HI huys, thanks for all the info. I got a sescond hand Ipad, 9.3.5, and followed your instructions to DFU. It did, but when it came back on, it said my software iOS 9.3.5 was up to date. Even after the DFU!! What can I do now??

This is how Apple works. If your iPad manage to survive, they make sure to outdate it so that you have to buy a new one!
So far Netflix app is working. But more and more apps requires newer version...
Good for Apple. Bad for customers and the enviroment.
@@Jockesse I have found that you can load older versions of apps that worked previously on you IOS, unless they change it all together as in the Case of HBOMax, but yes I have read extensively on this subject and it's called planned obsolescence, forcing you to either upgrade or have less and less functionality over time.

doesn't work for my i pad, only iOS 9.3.5 is available
because that's all it supports anymore, it's so old, apple discontinued it so they don't support any more updates. to get iPad os, or ios 11+ you need to buy a new iPad.

my ipad pro 2019 is having some sort of a network problem that won’t let me update it or install anything from the appstore and i cant connect it to a laptop or computer because it has a usb c port and my laptop is the normal usb ://

edit : the problem was the router. i guess my ipad had some problem syncing with our router even though it didn’t have an issue before, but after calling my ISP they sent technicians and all they did was reset the router (as in reset reset) it started working perfectly again :) hope this helps someone

I tried to update my iPad pro 9.7 from 13.3.1 to 13.4.1 using Apple Configurator. because I don't like they way to update with CatalinaOS. I ended up in DFU mood and iPad won't reboot because of error 9. I use MacBook Pro and the original iPhone11 pro USB-C to lightning cable. any advice guys ??!1
