I wish you would explain a P1870 code. I am having a hard time fixing it. Replaced the valve body, TCC solenoid valve. I dont know if it is the torque converter.

The 65 just has an extra planetary gear in the gear set. It’s not really any different at all
I got a 04 trailblazer that rev an 1 an 2nd it’s seems fine then going to 3rd rpm’s starts maxing out an don’t wanna shift what do I need to do? Thanks y’all!

From my research (why I'm here) one of the most common issues with 4l60e is loss of 3rd and 4th from the 3-4 clutch pack burning up.
@@danjim7056 yea i just found that out one way to tell is if it acts like it shifted to neutral and just revs another way is turn the car on unplug the transmission connector it should force it to lock in 3rd
@@danjim7056 I'm ordering a remanufactured transmission $2600 with 5 year warranty I think it's cheaper than buying a used car and having to replace parts on it

per what I read you have 1-2 and 3-4 on the back, in the front is the 3-2 for downshift
Great video, can't believe i found it from all thats out there. My? I have a 99 gmc envoy 4x4 with this trans i believe. My problem is that it will not go in reverse. Before i found this it seamed to be slipping some going foward. When in reverse i can hear some winding noise. What could be the problem? Also note i believe i have some vacuum issues, (leaks) can this be a cause? Thanks
Hey Scottie, I have a 97 camaro 3.8 v6 4l60e auto trans . I noticed the other day it wasn't downshifting when cold ,after driving a bit it went back to normal. I checked fluid level and it was down 2 quarts. Added fluid , still wouldn't downshift when you first start driving, then it works again. Then for 3 or 4 days it went 100% back to normal. Now it has stopped downshifting at all. If I kick it into passing gear it does, but during normal driving it upshifts fine but doesn't downshift whether automatically or if I manually try to downshift. No matter what gear it is in if I take my foot off the gas it acts like it's coasting in nuetral until I put my foot back on the pedal and give it gas , it then accelerates. I haven't gotten a check engine light or any codes. I was going to try changing the filter and fluid but i'm not sure if that will help.
I got a p0894 code on a 05 astro van. Car went into gear and then reverse but after i throw it in park thats it wouldnt go in any more. Before the first gear to second shift would shift hard but on high rpms it wouldnt. What do you recommended
Maybe you can help have a 1999 silverado. Issue is when first start driving i have to take my foot off the gas for it to go into 2nd but after that shifts in all gears normally. Would that be a shift solenoid issue? Have been told different things by different people. From it being the acceleration pedal switch to solenoid a. Can you guide me toward a fix for it?

Can I replace just one shift solenoid? I have a sixth 6 transmission A solenoid control which gears 1-3 and B solenoid controls 4-6
and a separate solenoid control reverse. I don't know if that's how it works.
Hey Scottie, Just changed the solenoids and changed all of the fluid and the Tahoe is shifting like butter! Sorry this is really off topic but I need help! I have installed 2 Rostra neutral safety switches on my 2002 Tahoe 4.8 and they both have not worked properly. Wondering if I just have the wrong part. Do know if there is any difference between the Neutral switch modle numbers 24229422 and NS-85 or NS-85T?? Any info is super appreciated.

Still have a problem? Been 4 months but figured I'd ask if you resolved it. If you are issuing 3/4 gears the issue is likely burned 3/4 clutch pack.
What about the ohm test?

Well I have a 05 trailblazer 4x4 and I was driving and it just stopped pulling all at once so I got pulled back home and bought all the selenoids and replaced them and fluid and still not going in gear what you think causes that
Did you ever figure out what the problem was with your 05 trail blazer. My nephew has the same problem going on.
My tcc cylanoids stuck open don’t know why but just rebuilt. It didn’t replace the harness. I saw a check ball missing in rear of case in capsules. But tcc is open why is this on all the time

I hope this isnt too late to ask, but i just bought an 03 trailblazer and it runs good 1st and 2nd gear then won't grab third. I changed filter and filled with fluid and rides smoother just same issue with that 3rd gear not grabbing. Are the solenoids the issue? I was told that was the problem but dont have money to burn on "should be" guesses. Any advice would help a ton. Thank you
Honestly.... you are probably going to need to save for a rebuild. It is super common for these trans to loose 3rd gear due to the check ball in the case no longer sealing.... this is a old video of mine, but it might help ya: ruclips.net/video/3RwmrY6QrBs/видео.htmlsi=IL9pcIMWHa3BmA9L

Just curious, why do you only recommend that valvoline fluid over synthetic? Thanks
Ya know... when I was doing my learning from the old guys back in early 2000's, they always recommend to use this fluid and I never looked back. I have heard the 4l60 series doesn't like the synthetic fluid but I've never personally tried it. I always thought it was due to the synthetic molecules being smaller that conventional.

Buy a house in California is not the move now.. price off the real market price.. values are dead here due to the leadership. Best you buy out of California because they cheaper for more the paying more for less.. plus we In A water war here. Rogue cop over price goods. It bad out here for land owners now.. I been trying to get out it cheaper to Co e here but expensive to leave. And any debt u have will follow u.. China owns All of California now so think wise before moving here.. other then that it nice out here when u not stepping in shit or pee..
This place has changed a lot! I still love it here. My peers choose the wrong politicians, though. I'm blessed to have a great day job. No debt, thank god! I bought a truck on payments 22 years ago and when I paid that thing off, I said, no payments on anything ever again. I'm hoping to find a place in a rural area with minimal neighbors with a plan for a big garage or barn so I can put a lift in it and continue this side hustle.
