Amazing White Temple CHIANG RAI (near Chiang Mai) | THAILAND

- Chiang Rai is the northernmost province of Thailand. It's about 3-4 hours away from Chiang Mai and well worth a day trip to see some very unique and amazing temples like the White Temple and Blue Temple.
We found a small group tour package to see both the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) which also included a visit to the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) and also the Black House (Baan Dam) which looks like a temple but is actually more of an art museum.
Even though both the white and blue temples in Chiang Rai look like works of art, they are still temples so be sure to adhere to the usual temple dress code (no exposed shoulders or shorts, dress modestly).
Note that the Black House displays some adult-themed art so may not be suitable for kids.

Was wondering how many episodes in you guys would be eating khao soi… hopefully you guys got to try a few places… one of the best meals I’ve had in my life was a Khao soi place in Chiang Mai….man, that hazy bad air… hopefully you guys got at least a few decent days… the watermelon and coconut smoothies…🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰… so good on a hot Thailand day… hopefully you guys are safe in Italy! Hahaha it was my 2nd meal in chiang mai. Such a great dish, love that coconut 🥥 curry flavor 🍜 Yen still sticks by her fish ball and won ton with egg noodles 🍜 Italy is awesome having a blast

The White Temple, it is pretty graphic the suffering section heavy background music, crossing into the peaceful section of silence with Yen speaking. Thailand is such an awesome country. This was our 4th visit and can still imagine coming back many many times. The food culture people everything 👍 just need to be careful of that burning season

Hi Peter and Yen! I really like that you eat at local restaurants and happy you had such amazing food! That's always what I do too :) It's fantastic what excellent food you can get at the very humble places, compared to not so wonderful at expensive touristy ones. Next time you're in Chiang Mai, I also recommend the food court at Wororot Market! Last time I was there (2019) had fab noodles for 40THB. Thanks for the great vid!

I am Thai who has got NZ citizen living in Auckland.
It is pretty hot and very humid in Thailand atm as it is summer season there.
Be aware of PM2.5 as well. Chiang Mai is one of Thai's cities has got a lot that kind of dust.

Oh my gosh those opening clips are just stunning! What amazing buildings there! Sad to still see the smog there perhaps still from those fires you spoke of a while back! that be awesome cooking food in that hot spring, if the splashing water lets you get close enough though! Haha! Yeah that's white temple is just stunning! Yeah really breathtaking! Yeah the amazing symbolism there too, yeah I really get that meaning! Blue temple looks good too. I bet the ice cream was just good in the hot temperatures there! Yeah just amazing structures there. The temple/museum was interesting and yeah I don't understand that odd abstract art! Oh my gosh that food at the end looked amazing! Another fine video!

Do you suggest sleeping over in Chiang Rai if you visit the white temple? We are planning our trip from NZ in Nov 😊
Hello we did the day trip without staying over night and thought it worked out pretty well. But if course if you stayed longer it would give you more time in the region. Hope you have a great trip 😁👍
I suggest you stay in chiang raí a day or Two . Reserve in advance . High season is fully booked
That white temple is so majestic, the blue one is nice too but cannot compare to the white one. I'll have that bowl of noodless that Peter had but pork version please. I don't eat beef lol.
Hahaha this noodle is amazing. Had so many while we were in chiang mai. They have a chicken, pork and fish ball version. All incredible
