They don't break due to rage gaming. They have a design flaw with a weak plastic pressure post which just snaps over time. Mine broke with very little use but because they are the buttons often used in constant parrying in RPG games, they don't stand up to the task.

its kinda funny (but sad too) when you find that many cheap controlelrs on the market that stronger or better made than original xbox controllers.
And I have this problem today. I use my controller for pc, maybe it has 8 months since i get it and I play random games when i can make a break, so .. no much use.
Today i was playing skyrim and the RB just... broke when I press it to test a new shout.
The old versions used to have slim sticks so they break easily (and I admit i was kinda a raging gamer on those times ) But now.. a BROKEN PLASTIC button? this is too much XD

This video is a LIFESAVER! I had made my boyfriend a custom controller which he loved but bumper snapped clean in half (I think Microsoft just makes weak left bumpers) couldn’t afford a new controller and he liked the other one so much that I was able to order a replacement bumper and honestly, took maybe 10 minutes to fix & it’ll be such a nice surprise for him:) I really appreciate repair videos like this since corporations make it so hard to repair things nowadays.
