Very nice idea! I've found by soaking my blade in water with baking soda and Dawn, I'm able to scrub off all the pitch in just a few seconds with a regular nylon brush. But your method uses a power tool, so it's probably better and I'll probably start doing it. Thanks for the idea!
Interesting, I’ll have to try soaking it! This works great though as a method for when you need to do it quick! I also got really tired of scrubbing by hand
Wear eye protection with wire wheel products, they eject wire projectiles at high speed the can embed in an eyeball faster than you can blink once. Don't ask how I know

just use a shorter bolt.
Shorter bolts don’t have the non threaded region for the blade to sit on.
