Definitely a time and money saver nice work
Thanks! we think so too!
Finally had the chance to use mine yesterday and wow! Insane how much quicker this is, awesome product as always!
Glad to hear you got to use it. It's so quick and easy, I clean my blades before each shop session so I always have the best possible cut.
@@Microjig That's a brilliant idea since it really is that easy, thanks! I actually a quick video of my own coming out soon that talks a lot about the system!
@@OverkillWoodcraft be sure to share it with us- support@microjig.com!
Yet another great product idea! Keep them coming!
Thanks! More to come!
Great product! This would be so much easier than the lid of a five gallon bucket.
It is easier and FAR less messy, no need to pour out the cleaning solution after each cleaning.
The BladeClean stores with the fluid inside ready to instantly clean the next blade.
just got mine in the mail, how cow is this thing nice. is the 3m pad proprietary to microjig or is it just a standard size? i imagine eventually ill want to replace that
We have it cut for us, but it will be available on our website shortly as a replacement part.
I've been using my Bladeclean for 2 years now and my pad is showing no signs of wear yet. We figure about 4-6 years for the average woodworker. But we are not sure yet!
@@Microjig wow quick reply thank you.. You guys are on top of it. I haven’t even used mine yet so we have time… I didn’t realize this product has been out for that long I wish I found it sooner. Thanks again!
Just got mine and it works great. The upfront cost will pay for itself with clean blades and bits instead of sharpening. Thanks Morgan!
Rich, great review, and you are right, it will save a lot of money over time!
I wouldn’t want to use simple green and water tho. I use a regular cleaning solution made to clean and it leaves a lubricated film and plus the water you should WD-40 the blade if using a water solution as to not cause rusting
The beauty of the Bladeclean is that you can use your preferred cleaner!
I have been using my BladeClean for 2 years with Simple Green and have had no issues with rusting. But I dry the blades well after cleaning.
Can we buy just the magnetic handle? I would like to buy one but not the rest of the kit.
I can check with the team about this. You can also email us at support@microjig.com
How long can the cleaning solution stay in the BLADECLEAN?
Mine has been in there for over a year with no noticeable evaporation. I am using Simple Green and water mixed. As long as the solution you are using will not spoil, you should only need to change it when it gets filled with the gunk from cleaning.
@@Microjig Awesome!
Where it can be bought in Europe?
Mateo, we have a list of international retailers on our website:
www.microjig.com/retailers-online
This should help you find the closest options for you. The Bladeclean may not be in every retailer, but you should be able to find it at one of these.
For $99.99 I think I'll keep my five gallon bucket and brush
That is your option. I have several blades and they are not cheap. Keeping them clean extends their life and saves me money on sharpening blades that only need to be cleaned, extended blade life and less burning and tool marks on my cut edges.
Link not working. How much is it? Website has no Pricing Info
The link should be live now.
Who in the right mind would spend $99 on this when it does nothing special
Anyone who values their investment in blades and their time. Clean blades last longer, cut better and you do not end up paying for sharpening when all you need is a cleaning.
Just read the comments here or reviews all over the web. The Bladeclean may not be for everyone, but it is selling just fine, thank you.
@@Microjig Trust me, I wash my blades all the time. I spent $2 for a 14" round plant saucer and $5 for a Brass brush. At the end of the day my $7 option does the same thing as yours. Go figure. Don't get me wrong, some of Microjig tools, accessories are worth every penny, but this is not one of them. Just my 2 cents.
@@Zamboni-0805 It is your choice, but your system is not the same. The Bladeclean features a 13" scotchbright pad that cleans all the teeth at once. It also features a magnetic handle that make handling the blade easy. The bottom of the BladeClean is sloped so 12, 10 or 7-14" blades all rest on the teeth, not on the steel body as you turn them.
If you clean your blades regularly, it takes three turns on each side. A total of about 30 seconds using the bladeclaean. About 2 minutes including removing and replacing the blade in the saw.
And the Bladeclean is stored with the cleaning fluid in it.
Takes me about half hour to clean every tooth on one of my saw blades. Considering my shop rate and the down time to clean my blades, this system will save me money in no time.
@@alrightythen1533 thank you, that is exactly why we created the Bladeclean. And you also save money by not paying to sharpen blades that only need to be cleaned.
