- The Isle of Mull was the first place that white tailed eagles bred after their reintroduction to the UK. Now visitors can go to see these magnificent birds. New research from RSPB Scotland has shown the contribution that wildlife tourism, and white tailed eagles in particular make to the economy of the island. RSPB Scotland Mull Officer Dave Sexton and local businesses explain more in this video.

I moved from the UK to Minnesota in 2011 and got to volunteer at a local non-profit eagle education facility. I spend a lot of my free time photographing these amazing apex predators.
It is wonderful to see the successful reintroduction of one of the UK's native eagles. So important to the balance of nature and the wellbeing of our environment. Wonderful video. I hope to be able to see them for myself one day and learn of their differences and similarities to their cousins here.
Dad & I had our first taste of Mull in April this year, we're already booked for a longer trip next year! Fantastic place for all sorts of wildlife
The White-tailed Eagles are stunning birds and the Mull Charters trip is one of the best wildlife experiences you can have in the UK in my humble opinion. The other wildlife on Mull is pretty spectacular as well.
Not a single Scot to be heard or seen...usual... Sea Eagles incredible though, lucky enough to see them where I live.
Loved the video, also the stunning eagle who hopefully will keep on increasing in their numbers.

I was in lofoten Norway for a cycling trip few days ago and i saw 7 eagles in 2 days.

I'm praying and hoping that the population of white tailed eagles dosen't get wiped out by this dreadful avian bird flu As I want to come next year and experience this magisfant raptor in action🤞
Slightly cynical question, sorry but my mind works that way. Do mull charters feed the eagles with dead fish to bring the birds close?
If so, why not?
Especially when they have hatchlings, or if they are only 1 pair to begin with...they should be helpped. ♥️
@@madamm2026 they aren't actually in need of any help. There is an extremely strong population of sea eagles in the west of Scotland already thanks to the availability of sheep which they predate on.
@@duncan2172 That's probably nonsense. white tailed eagles don't kill sheep. Sheep are far too big to be prey. At most, they bring the leg of a deer that hunters have killed and never found as food to the nest.
They eat mainly fish and waterfowl. I've been watching them since 2013 and have never seen a sheep as prey. How should that work? These tales are told by those who like to kill eagles. there is a nest in Norway, Sheep graze under the nest tree every day and nothing happens!
@@liznm-natur-channel of course they're not killing fully grown ewes but lambs are easy pickings.
It's been proven on farms here to the point that SNH (who were responsible for the reintroduction) have admitted it themselves
