    I got lucky to get these big crayfish, as in my experience, they cannot be found as easily as they used to. Along my journey people mention these as the native crayfish we called Janga. The ones that I often catch and see in most pots are the invasive Australian crayfish which are hard shelled and not as fun to eat. So if you're ever in Portland, check out this country styled restaurant below, as it might be one of the only places you get this.

    I am Trinidadian living in the US for 40 plus years
    I usually watch the food boss and the young man yard but I stumbled on you
    I like where you’re going with your content, I find you to be articulate and you get into the cooks head
    I also observed how you help the young lady clean up, not that you had to but you became real
    Great job!! I just subscribed, oh I forgot, the bike delivery 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ that young cook is also the delivery guy😂
    I been to Jamaica like 6 times but I never been to Kingston

    Really enjoying this series on Soldiers Camp Bar & Grill. From the owner to all the help, they seem to love cooking for people and it shows in their food preparation, presentation etc. Those are huge crayfish, I'm sure you enjoyed......

    Amazing VLOG at Solder Camp Restaurant. I can tell you liked the spot, 'cause you stayed there for at least 3 days. I saw the Happy Dance again, when you tasted the young lady's festival (USA hush puppies. LOL. The owner has a great staff. He doesn't have to be in the kitchen every day to make sure his dishes are prepared the way he wants them prepared.
    Again, Great VLOG. I enjoyed watching, just as much as you enjoyed eating it. 😄👍🌴

    So let me ask a very serious question. It's 3 soso crayfish for $1,500?
    1 large and 2 tiny ones??????
    That's highway robbery😢

    • @annettejohnson2683
      @annettejohnson2683 Год назад

      It took a lot of hours of hard work and expensive ingredients to bring this to the table. Not to mention the overhead and labour costs.

    • @slimslimmaz9915
      @slimslimmaz9915 Год назад

      @Annette Johnson fresh seasonings, coconut milk (whether powder or coconut extract), is rather inexpensive. As the chef mentioned, a bag of coal costs $1,500. An entire bag of coal wasn't used to prepare 1 batch of crayfish.
      Overhead cost, is easily recovered in a day, depending on the number of orders they have in a day.
      Serving 3 crayfish as a portion (not an appetizer) is robbery and an insult, and I will stand by that.
