It’s cool seeing a super cheap option for trapping a Varg for monster meat and teeth, super creative way of keeping everything aggroed onto a bunny. It seems to me that this farm fills a different function from Gabriel’s, and compared to a semi-automatic setup this is definitely a slower option for farming gems. There’s definitely value in both designs - yours being accessible much earlier in a run - and I wouldn’t say either is objectively better.
As a Wilson main, i'm proud of you, brother. This is why i main wilson, we "have no powers" so we have to invent ways to conquer this world with SCIENCE. Thank you and you gain another sub 🎩 😎🌹
Awesome farm I love playing as Wilson with his transmutation gems but I have to have a Winona friend for celestial portal which is a little expensive so thank you!
You can block vargs with trees at cost of no walls, so that previous designs can be as low as 40pinecones instead of marble statues, also even if tree burns it can block varg
If you block with trees, you can make bait pen with door a little away from varg, dont have to reagro to rabbit as well. Also can bait more vargs to the pen if you placed trees in a specific way
Very good design. Good way to handle a varg early into a world and put it to good use. Just a few questions, Whats the purpose of the ring wall? Would it be possible to replace the gate with walls after de-aggro for fire hounds? And did having both pigskin and rabbit improve things?
yes very good idea in fact to replace the door with a wall. You could also easily put walls on each side of the door (so when the door burns the varg is still walled)
the ring wall is to prevent hounds from biting the rabbit. If the rabbit dies the farm breaks and you need another aggro. the varg only spawns hounds when he is aggro. not only that but if the varg is aggroed to you than all the hounds attacks you: you would therefore be obligated to fight them all at once instead of one by one.
@@powerofwilson4519 Im wondering what went wrong with a smaller ring instead of this one with a gap. Do the hounds start munching on the walls if you go any smaller?
I have been using J J vid on varg farm and it's been so well with lots of potential upgrades. Yours are actually verry good too campared to those farm you show in the start. Those things are just ughh.
if you do almost the same design on a triangle looking edge of the world can you turn this into an auto winona varg farm, almost looking the same as gabriel's one? if yes then maybe consider uploading a video about it. btw 11/10 farm design here.👏
yes you can add other little cages for additionnal vargs no problem. only 4 wall and a door each. In fact you can probably add at least 7 other. My only concern is how are you gonna find that many varg: they are rare.
the farm is very useful in solo, It works for every character, and if you have a beefalo (which you should already have) then the farm is very op, it farms gems wonderfully well.
Cool and all but, to put it the way you did, "WTF is with the intro + 8 exclamation marks"? At least one of those creators never claimed they were posting a cost-efficient design in the first place. Can't see it in the titles of the others either - might be in the video but idk all of them. The least efficient thing about this video is that whole intro that doesn't even hit the mark. "Oh look, I can do it way better than these people who were never doing the thing I'm going to do in the first place". Was it really necessary? Well, like that panflute you commented on... no. Do your own thing, you don't need to step on others to get yourself to a higher spot... especially when it's so exaggerated too...
hes not copying anyone, he is simply offering a better, cheaper alternative method that originates from the ones wilson has seen. if anything, he credited the original people by showing their things first.
Alright guys, If you struggle with fire hounds killing the rabbit with their fire. Just use 8 extra stone walls to make the outer walls larger
I made all 20 outer walls as tall as possible, and the fire is still killing my rabbit :(

yo THANKS
I once trapped a varg with 1 dock kit, an Ice staff and 2 walls lol.
Didn't know you could use a rabbit to control aggro of hounds, tho. Great idea.

You are going places man, keep the good work, love it bro.
Great design!!! I love how low cost this is, and since i mostly just play solo, this amount of loot is perfect for me.
Nice scheme! Reminds me cheap traps in ARK
Good idea!!! Now i can choose between automatic and manual I believe your video will be beneficial to everyone

ok nice I guess but it wont prevent hounds from passing: you still needs walls

@@powerofwilson4519 i mean basic varg farms use over 3 and a hunt (to check if it a hound) only needs like 30 seconds

NICEW VIDEO
what editing software do you use?
hitfilm express. You can also use davinci but I prefer hitfilm since the save files are kept on the computer
What can i do against fire hounds ? Fire kills rabbit really quick, tried with ice flingomatic but even then rabbit dies .
make the walls larger or use another bait, such as a beefalo for example, Beffalos heal themself.
Now for the big question: why would anyone want to build a varg farm in 2024?
the farm is very useful in solo, It works for every character, and if you have a beefalo (which you should already have) then the farm is very op, it farms gems wonderfully well.
