The Beatles said when they played in Hamburg the crowd loved this song so much they would play it for an hour straight. When they got to that "Hey ho" break they would get the crowd going nuts and start the song again all over again ha ha

This is a great tutorial, but I just want to give some constructive feed back. I found the video frustrating when combining both hands. I just feel you rushed it and went to fast for the average beginner I found myself trying to pause the video over and over!! Thank you for your work though!

Actually, the way he plays is a little bit different than the way he teaches... Found it because I learned the groove as he shows, but the sound still wasn't quite right... so i started to pause (over and over again) the part he was playing fast.

Great to hear that you're picking up on piano. If you go to my website (link in the description below the video) and look for my freely downloadable Manifesto - 'Bare Essential Keys to Harmony', that would be perfect for beginners like yourself, or anybody that would like to have an introduction in Pop-Piano. It is a 42-page ebook, as said completely free for anybody to download and share.
    Hope that helps! Cheers, Coen.

thanks for uploading this lesson. I am almost 70 and have just started piano lessons, this is the first song my piano teacher taught me....I am still having trouble using correct fingers. I will use your tutorial for home practice. in my sheet music there is tricky timing...some root notes are on the 1 beat, others are on the 'and of the 4 beat.

    • @pianocouture

My advice - ditch the sheets and learn about patterns. And chords for the actual notes, obviously.

I think your system is great and your lesson is fun, but I don't think any live performances by Ray have the intro figure carrying throughout the song. And you missed the trickiest bars in the 12-bar set, the last 2, or the turnaround. They are called E7, but these bars are nothing like the other E7 bars. Thanks.
