Personally I don’t mind that there aren’t any shortcuts because the drifting lines are so fun. It’s not like shortcuts are the only thing that can make a layout good and Id argue that waluigi pinball has such smooth drifting lines that it still outclasses most courses that do have shortcuts, even if it could be improved by having them as well.
I would’ve at least put Mario Circuit 1 on for the SMK on this top 20. Mario Circuit 1 was literally the very first track ever raced on. If you didn’t skip cups that is.
This makes me realise that Mk7 probably has the most solid track selection of the whole series, brings back the best retro tracks and has some amazing nitro tracks.
Good list, a decent amount of these would probably be on my top 20. A track that I don't see many people talking about that I love is Cloudtop Cruise! An unpopular opinion that I hold is that 8's version of Coconut Mall is really good! It's actually my favourite iterartion
Very good list,I actually agree with a lot of these I instantly knew DK Summit,MK7 Rainbow Road and Mushroom Gorge were gonna make it into this list, and I'm glad to see I'm not wrong The Top 3 is pretty solid as well! I'd say there are other tracks I really enjoy for example MK8 Bowser's Castle and Ninja Hideaway, but still pretty good
For me, DK Summit is my number one track on this list because you’re not only racing down through the track into normalcy, but also doing all kinds of tricks and stuff, especially when you’re going on the half-pipes which is usually used for a lot of skiers just like Mount Wario being my close second and that’s the epitome of the Winter Olympics because you’re also doing tricks and you have an audience watching you. I love it. Waluigi Pinball would be number 3 for me because it’s like you are racing on a giant pinball machine and you get these different pinball scoring noises when you pick up an item box, go over a dash panel, and blast out of the pinball launcher right off the start. DK Mountain was a track where you get launched out of a giant cannon and onto the volcano while decending down the whole track and the music feels like you’re in some tropical rainforest which also resembles the music from Sunshine. It’s great. Delfino Square would be #5 for me and hit home because it pays homage to the kids playing Super Mario Sunshine which I love, and the biggest connection to the stage to me would be the drawbridge portion and you pull off stunts in MKWii, unlike MKDS. Wario Stadium DS is number 6, and in it, you’re racing in a dirtbike track at night and the crowd is cheering when you go off dash ramps and through the fire rings, and that to me would be tied with almost like a Mario Kart Sports tournament or something like that. It’s amazing. And also Waluigi Stadium. We’ve had a lot of Wario and Waluigi tracks in the previous iterations of Mario Kart, but Waluigi Stadium is a track where people can break the world record by pulling off stunts and everything, and for them that keeps saying that they hit home may be a little overrated to me, but.. yeah. Now, Wario Stadium from MK64 is a very very overrated track to me because at the same time, you’re racing in a giant sports stadium, but it feels an itsy-bitsy empty to me because it has the lack of dash panels and tricks, so if they were to make a comeback in the Booster Course Pass, then they could add the dash panels and pulling off stunts and make all the people go crazy. Also the point where you jump off a little crevice and you set a trap before the crevice is dynamite and I just love how you can do that so your CPUs could fall off. Now, I’d always love racing on the Bowser tracks in Mario Kart, with one being Airship Fortress because you’re just racing on a dynamic mix between sky and Bowser-infested dark mayhem. We’ve covered so many rainbow roads in Mario Kart, but the one from Double Dash is my favorite because you’re not only driving in space, you’re racing over a city, and you see stars raining down from the sky which many Rainbow Road incarnations don’t usually have. But someone said long ago that if you look up at the night sky while traveling through New York City, you’ll end up seeing that actual stage. And you know what? I can actually relate to that point because if you’re outside sleeping on the campgrounds at night and you see shooting stars raining down, you could allude to the poem - I was talking and thinking about this a lot when I was listening to Lost Stars by Adam Levine because it has a reference to twinkling stars lighting up the night sky, um.. so if you’re outside on the campgrounds and you get ready to set up your camping essentials, a star will twinkle in the sky and you will allude to a nursery rhyme and it goes like this: Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight. Now, Rainbow Road for MK8 Deluxe is way way better than the previous versions because you’re driving through a big space station which I love and that would be Rosalina’s home track, hence the name, because she’s all about surrounding herself with outer space and galaxies. And one of the best things when drifting on the stage is that you hear these glistening sounds and I love it.
Wii Rainbow Road is my favorite one due to how challenging it feels and it looks absolutely beautiful. Too bad this track is infamously hated to the point where people hate it as much as Bone Dry Dunes and Figure-8 Circuit
Neon Bowser City is super underrated. I love the design, like you mentioned right turns and overall the concept of the track. It’s one of my favorites and makes me bummed that it’s in no one’s top track list.
Did you know that the Mario Kart 8’s Ribbon Road actually has a very similar map if not the same map as the intro to the original Super Smash Bros for the N64.
Waluigi pinball is overrated. It's not as interesting as people make it out to be, if it was called something like mario pinball, people could see it's flaws. The design is cool, the pinball stuff is also cool, but when you just look at the track itself, its not the really that good
Agreed I never played any game with it before the booster pass and it's my least favorite of Wave 2 The actual pinball field is super boring and practical (like why would I not go straight when the other ways offer nothing?) The majority of the stage is boring too cause its simple winding turns (but somehow feels less fun to turn on than MC3)
Why isn't Tour Ninja Hideaway on the list? So many paths, running Ninja Shy Guys, second glider section what you can go on second and third lap, that cool shortcut at the end. I like your list of tracks a lot, but Tour Ninja Hideaway definitely deserves being in top 5 or 10.
Tbh I sometimes see Wild Woods as a spiritual successor to Maple Treeway in a sense because instead of a maple tree its a regular tree but with villages and water but I would love to see Maple Treeway in the Booster Course Pass
While I don't know if I agree with how you ranked these, I will agree that I love almost all of the tracks you listed. It also made me reize idk how I'd rank a top 20, because I feel like I have a top 40 lol
Might I add, 12 of these are in Mario kart 7! This just goes to show Mario kart 7 is either the best or second best game. Or at least that’s how it is for me
@@PizzaRollsRGood The awesome controls combined with the amazing tracks is what makes DS so incredible. The boost system is basically 64’s but refined, and it’s so satisfying to pull off. It’s the closest Mario Kart’s ever been to having a Crash Team Racing drift style. If you wanna go fast, you can’t just wait until those sparks appear. You gotta make ‘em yourself.
Nice list, but man my personal favorite track in the entire series is legit never mentioned... lol This worries me because I would LOVE to have it remade in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I'm speaking about the Double Dash version of Bowser's Castle.
My list: 1. DS Waluigi Pinball - sorry not sorry, this track is a fan favourite for a reason. 2. Wii Maple Treeway - favourite wii track, really hope the leaks are true. 3. 3DS Rainbow Road - best rainbow road by far, pure magic. 4. Wii Coconut Mall - a wii classic, fun no matter what game it is in. 5. Wii U Mount Wario - best nitro in 8, fun and epic. A true adventure from helicopter to the end. 6. Tour Ninja Hideaway - branching paths galore, all are of equal length. A perfectly complex track. 7. DS Airship Fortress - an epic, frantic nostagia trip on the SMB3 airships. Really hope it comes back in 8. 8. GCN DK Mountain - most iconic double dash track, fun, challenging and frantic. 9. GBA Ribbon Road (8 remake) - this remake is just very creative and the track is a blast. 10. Wii U Big Blue - same as Mt Wario, but more fastpaced! 11. DS Tick-tock Clock - another brilliant throwback to a classic mario level. 12. GCN Wario's Colesseum - a challenging, chaotic wild ride. The fact it isnt a retro yet is a crime. 13. Wii Mushroom Gorge - pure bouncy and goofy fun. Amazing shortcut potential too. 14. N64 Kalimari Desert - MK8 version, absolutely adore the KD2 incorporation, a beautiful N64 update. 15. Wii Koopa Cape (Wii version, not the remakes) - fast paced and fun. River mechanics rock. 16. Tour Sydney Sprint - surprisingly fun track, love the booster pass differing laps. 17. 3DS Music Park - great theme and fun challenging layout. 18. DS Delfino Square - a beautiful sunshine themed track and love the shortcuts and music. 19. Wii U Sunshine Airport - great concept and amazing design. 20. Tour Merry Mountain - a genuinely amazing theme, christmas galore and very well made track.
It makes me happy to see the other commenters giving love to GCN rainbow road, GCN bowser’s castle, wario coliseum, and mushroom city. It might just be because double dash was the Mario kart of my childhood, even after MKWii came out
Don’t know why people are calling Waluigi Pinball overrated when Coconut Mall definitely takes the crown in that regard. I like the track, but calling it the best is certainly a stretch in my eyes.
Love mushroom gorge but on mk8d its one of the tracks that have turned it from golden to trash, looks great but the broken 2nd set and pure rng feel to it is really unfortunate and makes it really unfun. Still can't beat getting from last to 1st potentially with the gap jump though
64 Rainbow Road is one the best tracks ever. I like the music. There are chain chomps you have to avoid as you're driving. The map is shaped like a vacuum cleaner. You see everyone's faces light up in the background.
I only like the MK8 version, the original one might be my least favorite track ever because it is just way too long, there are railings all over the track and almost nothing happens
I’m so glad Dino Dino Jungle is on the list, I loved playing it on my dad’s GameCube when I was about 6 years old. Might partly have loved it because my favourite stuffed animal was a dinosaur, though.
Personally my Top 10 favorite tracks are Electrodrome, Mushroom City, Yoshi Circuit, Mushroom Gorge and Sweet Sweet Canyon, Rainbow Road 64 (in MK8), Toad Factory, Waluigi Stadium and Daisy Cruiser Note I never played Super Circuit, DS or 3DS and barely played the original or 64
Pretty great list overall. Can’t disagree with the reasons provided why these tracks are your favorites. I guess I could throw in some of mine, maybe one for each main series entry to spread some love to Super Mario Kart and Super Circuit as well. Super Mario Kart: Rainbow Road Without a doubt, this is the stand out stage in the game to me. Super Mario Kart was a more single player focused experience, so of course it needs to have an ultimate final track to put your skills to the test, and Rainbow Road absolutely delivered. Of all the Rainbow Roads, this one still places pretty well in the middle for me, which for Super Mario Kart’s limitations, I’d still say is quite an accomplishment. Mario Kart 64: Bowser’s Castle Looking back, Mario Kart 64’s tracks are fairly standardized. Usually, 64’s tracks establish a visual theme and have a single iconic course prop to give each stage a unique element. Bowser’s Castle is the wild exception, being chock full of ideas and carries a sense of adventure. The moving thromwp obstacles, the lava moat, weaving in and out of rooms in the castle, all plunge this course leagues above the rest of the basic track lineup from 64 in my opinion. I’d still rank it about in the top half of all of the Bowser’s Castle stages in the series, which given Mario Kart 64’s limitations, is still absolutely commendable. Mario Kart Super Circuit: Sunset Wilds Mario Kart Super Circuit is another entry that has more of a dedicated single player focus, and all around, it's a step up from the course designs in Super Mario Kart, in both visual and mechanically interesting departments. That’s why having a mellow stage like Sunset Wilds to wrap up a cup is a nice change of pace. It’s not too challenging of a track, but it’s still fun to get down the patterns for evading the shy guy tepees. It’s also just funny that the shy guys get stuck to you for a while when it happens. Obviously, this track gets bonus points for starting the race while the sun sets, and becoming dusk once it finishes. It’s a great iconic touch. Mario Kart Double Dash!!: Baby Park Is there not a single course that better defines Mario Kart than Double Dash!!’s Baby Park? Unfortunately, the perfect formula for what makes Baby Park an absolute blast just hasn’t ever been replicated since the original version. Baby Park rides and dies on Double Dash!!’s mechanics of stealing items with boosts, momentum based item stun, and fast top speed recoveries. Not to even mention that shells chaotically cross over the middle field, and special items that will all be in play at once. Having multiple Bowser Shells in play at once is nightmarishly hilarious! Getting three other friends to race nine laps with items set to aggressive on this course is just something you’ve just gotta do in your life. This setup alone might as well be the best actual “battle mode” within the entire series. Mario Kart DS: Airship Fortress Even held back by the technical limitations of the DS, DS provided several great courses, but for the same reason why Bowser’s Castle is such a standout in Mario Kart 64’s lineup, Airship Fortress is simply beyond epic in comparison to all new courses in the DS pack, which is an incredibly impressive feat. Starting the course driving straight into open fire, boarding the airship, launching out of a cannon, and wrapping it up with a sick drift down the spiraling tower is just a concept on an entirely different level. It feels like you are driving into a real battle. I do feel like including a tricky clutch shortcut at the end with the crumbled bridge could have been a huge opportunity, as the stage is otherwise shortcutless by any means, but that’s my only complaint. Mario Kart Wii: Rainbow Road Some of Mario Kart Wii’s courses cranked things up beyond the max! …No, really. I feel like some stages went way too overboard in my opinion. Stages like Mushroom Gorge or Maple Treeway are way too bouncy and rather janky for my own tastes. On the other hand, Rainbow Road feels like it found the perfect scope to provide the ultimate challenge that’s both spectacular in visuals and absolutely fair design. It has devious twists, sick jumps, and tons of risky boostpannels all while maintaining Wii’s signature bouncy style to just the right degree. It’s one of the toughest courses in the franchise to fully master, but it’s a dang fun one too. It’s an all-out Mario Kart Wii course done absolutely right. Mario Kart 7: Wario Shipyard The more I think about it, Mario Kart 7 has some pretty underrated courses that normally go unnoticed thanks to its overall average line up of highs and occasional lows, but I’ll give it to Wario Shipyard for making me really dig an underwater stage. There’s a lot going on in Wario Shipyard, from climbing shipwrecks, splashing in and out of the water, soaring out of the cannon, it’s all just very snappy and stimulating. There is a good mix of split paths for on the cusp decisions. I especially like the make or break corner jump at the final stretch, even if it is a bit on the easy side to pull off. Wario Shipyard just ends up playing a little differently every lap with all its little shortcuts, and it’s fun to see which direction everyone takes. Even when considering the entire franchise, it’s a pretty unique course for what it is. Mario Kart 8: Toad Harbor Mario Kart 8’s courses are no doubt all beautifully designed, and a spectacle to behold. Where almost every course seems to try and incorporate antigravity to make new, mesmerizing, optical sights, Toad Harbor is a pleasantly refreshing break in the overall lineup. It doesn’t need to be extreme like many of the others in Mario Kart 8. Toad Harbor is just a fun, fair track to drive around in. Toad’s Harbor feels absolutely lived in, especially in comparison to fan favorite courses like Coconut Mall or Delfino Square. The light use of traffic, antigravity, and occasional alternate paths spice it up just enough to make it feel like a staple Mario Kart 8 course, without going overboard with one of the factors. Of the city archetype tracks in the Mario Kart series, Toad Harbor is a top pick of mine. Those are some of my personal favorites. Rapid fire honorable mentions would include Luigi Circuit (DD!!, 150cc alternate version), the entire special cup (DD!!), Luigi’s Mansion (DS), Peach Gardens, Rainbow Road (DS), Wario’s Gold Mine, Shy Guy Falls, Mario Circuit (8), and the entire star cup (8).
I agree with everything but maple treeway… I remember always rage quitting on that track and wario’s gold mine. I guess I just have anti-nostalgia for the track
How can I hate or dislike every tracks of this top 5 xD Seriously, to me Yoshi Circuit and DK Mountain are my top 2 worst Double Dash tracks, I really hate Waluigi Pinball (maybe a trauma from Mario Kart Tour 😶), and I personnally don't like anything in Maple Treeway or Coconut Mall but I don't hate However I didn't played MKDS or WII so I never played on the original ones and I also don't have any special memorie with them since I've mainly played MK8 and Tour, so my fav' tracks are mainly from those games with : Singapore Speedway (1 & 2) Los Angeles Laps (1 & 3) Berlin Byways (1 & 2) Airship Fortress Moonview Highway (even I never played it 😶) Mount Wario Rainbow Road (3DS) Sunshine Airport And more surprisingly, I really love RMX Vanilla Lake 1 (I cannot explain why however xD)
If we were to make a new Mario Kart with these findings alone, this would be the Retro Grand Prix: Shell Cup: Wii Mushroom Gorge DS Delfino Square 3DS Wuhu Loop Wii Coconut Mall Banana Cup: Wii DK's Summit GCN Daisy Cruiser DS Waluigi Pinball GCN Yoshi Circuit Leaf Cup: GBA Ribbon Road WU Sunshine Airport GCN DK Mountain Wii Maple Treeway Feather Cup (idk, I thought feather would be a nice additional Retro Cup): N64 D.K.'s Jungle Parkway Wii Koopa Cape GCN Dino Dino Jungle WU Mount Wario Lightning Cup: DS Airship Fortress GCN Wario Colosseum N64 Bowser's Castle 3DS Rainbow Road I basically took all the tracks you presented here and tried to rank them by difficulty via memory (and double-checking which Cup they originally came from). My overall takeaway? Double Dash and Wii had the most amount of fun, incredible, and popular new tracks (shocker!😱🤣) and that the King of Swing himself, DK, has consistently made constant favorites that no one doubts the popularity of. But because of this Super Mario Kart would have 0 representation while Super Circuit only has one track, but even then that's only because of how great it's comeback was in Mario Kart 8. I think we should (sadly) sacrifice some Double Dash and Wii courses to make room. What do you guys think? Try to gauge what you perceive as popular when you respond, not simply with what your favorites are . I'd boot Wii Mushroom Gorge because it's in the same Cup as Coconut Mall and between the two Coconut Mall is definitely more popular, and replace it with SNES Mario Circuit 2 because it'd make sense for a Mario Circuit to be here, plus it's more interesting than SNES Mario Circuit 1. Next I'd boot GCN Yoshi Circuit because it's in the same Cup as Daisy Cruiser which imo would be nicer to have, especially since we've had an HD Yoshi Circuit since 2015. I'd replace it with GBA Sunset Wilds since that seems to be literally everyone's go-to for GBA courses they want in the Booster Course Pass. Lastly I'd pick to boot GCN DK Mountain for SNES Ghost Valley 3. There are three DK stages here and while it was tough, GCN DK Mountain has a similar vibe to 3DS DK Jungle which we've had for a bit, while D.K.'s Jungle Parkway would have a more sunset jungle adventure vibe. I know we just got Wii DK's Summit in the DLC, making that more recent and the only one of the three we currently have, but I think it'd be better to have a snow and a jungle DK track rather than have two jungle DK tracks (even if that was how it was in Mario Kart Wii where all three were present...). I picked SNES Ghost Valley 3 not because I though it was popular but because of a lack of ghost level. My other picks were SNES Vanilla Lake 2, which felt like there would've been a lot of snow levels, or SNES Rainbow Road, but that's been in every Mario Kart since Mario Kart 7, we need to give it a break before it feels like Green Hill.
My favourite track from every game: SNES - rainbow road N64 - DK's jungle parkway GBA - never played GCN - peach beach DS - waluigi pinball Wii - koopa Cape 3DS - piranha plant pipeway Wii u - mount wario Wii u (dlc) - big blue
This is my favourite track from each of the Games SNES - Bowsers Castle 3 N64 - DK Jungle Parkway GBA - Sky Garden Double Dash - DK Mountain DS - Delphino square Wii - Coconut Mall MK7 - Rainbow Road MK8 - Mount Wario Tour - LA Laps
If we don’t get tracks like Delfino Square, Daisy Cruiser, and Koopa Cape I’m gonna be mad since I have only played MK8D and these other tracks sound very cool
Waluigi stadium GameCube is awesome it was my favorite on Mario kart double dash.jumping the rings of fire, blasting the song of Ladies n gentlemen like old times.
Speaking of Mariokart, the 2nd DLC has a weird glitch where if you use the antenna, if you drift too close to the edge of the track, you will get pulled in and get stuck. This happens in NY Minute, Kalamari Desert, Snow Land, and Sky-High Sundae. Have you experienced this glitch? Let me know!
EXACTLY! That's exactly what happens when I play those courses@@MrSuperleobros! I feel like not a lot of people are talking about this- people need to spread the word!
Ones not on the list, in roughly chronological order: Kalimari Desert Baby Park (GCN) Bowser's Castle (GCN) Waluigi Stadium (Wii Remix) Luigi's Mansion (DS) Bowser's Castle 1 GBA (7 Remix) Neo Bowser City (7) Rock Rock Mountain (7)
I'm surprised Ninja Hideaway isn't on this list seeing how everyone seems to agree it's one of the best in the series I imagine its probably because of its Tour origins Personally I'd swap it for DK Jungle Parkway in this list
My favorite course’s are wii koopa cave ,switch wild woods, DS Delfino square, 3DS Music 🎵 park, Snes koopa beach 1, GBA lakeside park, N64 Royal raceway, GCN dino dino 🦕 jungle and finally Arcade splash circuit
This was a really good list but then I realised Tick Tock Clock is completely missing, I expected it to be top 3. Also Piranha Plant Pipeway and Melody Motorway are top 20 for me
Top 20 for me would be: 20. DS Delfino Square 19. Wii U Cloudtop Cruise 18. DS Rainbow Road 17. Tour Merry Mountain 16. DS Tick-Tock Clock 15. N64 Rainbow Road 14. Wii U Big Blue 13. Wii U Excitebike Arena 12. Wii Mushroom Gorge 11. GCN Baby Park 10. 3DS Music Park 9. DS Shroom Ridge 8. Tour Sydney Sprint (Yes, a city course. It's my opinion.) 7. DS Waluigi Pinball 6. N64 Choco Mountain 5. DS Bowser's Castle 4. N64 Kalimari Desert (Mario Kart 8 version because it incorporated KD 2 from Tour) 3. Wii Coconut Mall 2. 3DS Rainbow Road 1. Tour Ninja Hideaway The 9th mainline Mario Kart has some pretty good tracks, glad people can play them in 8. (and Sky-High Sundae isn't an original course for 8 Deluxe. It was datamined for Tour before the pass was even announced. All non-city courses from Tour seem to get the "Mario Kart 8 original" treatment. If you remember the official announcement for the pass, it said "Remastered from across the series." Wave 2's announcement had a disclaimer for Sky-High saying it was being added at a later date, clearly denoting that it was a Tour track. Low and behold, the Sundae Tour dropped with no retro prefix in sight.)
I really like waluigi pinball visually and as a concept but the layout without any shortcuts definitely takes the track down a few pegs
Finally someone who realizes Waluigi Pinball isn't perfect!
Agreed
@@MadMaxxed1224 everything else makes up for it

Personally I don’t mind that there aren’t any shortcuts because the drifting lines are so fun.

Where’s Tick-Tock Clock, Choco Mountain, Wario’s Gold Mine and Music Park at??
Wii Rainbow Road is my favorite one due to how challenging it feels and it looks absolutely beautiful.
Too bad this track is infamously hated to the point where people hate it as much as Bone Dry Dunes and Figure-8 Circuit
Neon Bowser City is super underrated. I love the design, like you mentioned right turns and overall the concept of the track. It’s one of my favorites and makes me bummed that it’s in no one’s top track list.
I love this track. its name in my mother tongue is cool, too : "Koopapolis"
@@omegaSomeone et mais c'est en français ça
@@Huss_gsk oui.
My favourite track is big blue in 8. I think it's really underated and fast paced.
overrated if anything
shocked it wasnt in this video tbh
Did you know that the Mario Kart 8’s Ribbon Road actually has a very similar map if not the same map as the intro to the original Super Smash Bros for the N64.
Waluigi pinball is overrated. It's not as interesting as people make it out to be, if it was called something like mario pinball, people could see it's flaws.
The design is cool, the pinball stuff is also cool, but when you just look at the track itself, its not the really that good
Agreed I never played any game with it before the booster pass and it's my least favorite of Wave 2
The actual pinball field is super boring and practical (like why would I not go straight when the other ways offer nothing?) The majority of the stage is boring too cause its simple winding turns (but somehow feels less fun to turn on than MC3)
12:36 It's also a Smash 4 Stage, so that's another reason it should be added back
Always liked how it looks like you're going to go right into [the side of] the DK volcano, then you suddenly drop to the track right next to it.
Idk what I'd replace, but my list would probably include toad harbour and toad factory, both are just incredible
That ray of purple light at the end of rainbow Road is glorious
Why isn't Tour Ninja Hideaway on the list? So many paths, running Ninja Shy Guys, second glider section what you can go on second and third lap, that cool shortcut at the end. I like your list of tracks a lot, but Tour Ninja Hideaway definitely deserves being in top 5 or 10.
And Big Blue! Phenomenal music, awesome visuals, and one of the most exciting Mario Kart tracks ever.
Why isn't any tour track on this list every single tour track is amazing in my opinion
My top 20:
1: 3DS Rainbow Road

N64 players surely love Frappé Snowland (i didn't play that game but i reaaally want that track back)
When they did some of these tracks for tour they made it looks so much better and would love to this on mk8

The only thing I disagree on is that in my opinion you should put Ninja Hideaway from Tour on this list due to it's graphics, music and replay value
It's on 8 Dx now too
@@Seamusvg yes, I know. But the only changes were graphics and music
Tbh I sometimes see Wild Woods as a spiritual successor to Maple Treeway in a sense because instead of a maple tree its a regular tree but with villages and water but I would love to see Maple Treeway in the Booster Course Pass
Maple Treeway got leaked but it’s not coming until Wave 6 😢

While I don't know if I agree with how you ranked these, I will agree that I love almost all of the tracks you listed. It also made me reize idk how I'd rank a top 20, because I feel like I have a top 40 lol
Might I add, 12 of these are in Mario kart 7! This just goes to show Mario kart 7 is either the best or second best game. Or at least that’s how it is for me
DS is probably my favorite but 7 is great and very underrated I think.
id call it the fourth best because mk8d is awesome and thats third, wii is awesome and thats 2nd and ds is awesome and nostalgic and thats 1st

Nice list, but man my personal favorite track in the entire series is legit never mentioned... lol
This worries me because I would LOVE to have it remade in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
I'm speaking about the Double Dash version of Bowser's Castle.
In my opinion Music Park is my favorite track and insanely underrated
My list:
Some of my favorites have go to be Wii U Mount Wario, Wii U Super Bell Subway and NS Sydney Sprint
You mean Tour Sydney Sprint?

@@PeteytheParrot880 oh fair enough
Great list!
Mario kart has so many great tracks, my favourite is Mushroom Gorge, i dont know why, it has a special place in my heart
Would love to see Diddy Kong Racing to return someday too
64 Rainbow Road is one the best tracks ever.
DK Summit and DK mountain are my favorites. Hoping they both return in MK8.
Personally my Top 10 favorite tracks are Electrodrome, Mushroom City, Yoshi Circuit, Mushroom Gorge and Sweet Sweet Canyon, Rainbow Road 64 (in MK8), Toad Factory, Waluigi Stadium and Daisy Cruiser
Note I never played Super Circuit, DS or 3DS and barely played the original or 64
I LOVE DK's Snowboard Cross (DK Summit) personally, ESCPECIALLY in MK8DX and I am SO happy that they brought it back.
Pretty great list overall. Can’t disagree with the reasons provided why these tracks are your favorites. I guess I could throw in some of mine, maybe one for each main series entry to spread some love to Super Mario Kart and Super Circuit as well.
Super Mario Kart: Rainbow Road
Without a doubt, this is the stand out stage in the game to me.
Mario Kart 64: Bowser’s Castle
Looking back, Mario Kart 64’s tracks are fairly standardized.
Mario Kart Super Circuit: Sunset Wilds
Mario Kart Super Circuit is another entry that has more of a dedicated single player focus, and all around, it's a step up from the course designs in Super Mario Kart, in both visual and mechanically interesting departments.
Mario Kart Double Dash!!: Baby Park
Is there not a single course that better defines Mario Kart than Double Dash!!’s Baby Park?
Mario Kart DS: Airship Fortress
Even held back by the technical limitations of the DS, DS provided several great courses, but for the same reason why Bowser’s Castle is such a standout in Mario Kart 64’s lineup, Airship Fortress is simply beyond epic in comparison to all new courses in the DS pack, which is an incredibly impressive feat.
Mario Kart Wii: Rainbow Road
Some of Mario Kart Wii’s courses cranked things up beyond the max!
Mario Kart 7: Wario Shipyard
The more I think about it, Mario Kart 7 has some pretty underrated courses that normally go unnoticed thanks to its overall average line up of highs and occasional lows, but I’ll give it to Wario Shipyard for making me really dig an underwater stage.
Mario Kart 8: Toad Harbor
Mario Kart 8’s courses are no doubt all beautifully designed, and a spectacle to behold.
The idea behind Yoshi Circuit is cute, but the actual track layout makes for awkward turns and frustrating situations. I never do well on it.
I largely agree with this list, but I'd bump 3DS Rainbow Road and Mount Wario to the top as the best tracks in the series by far
its not on the list but a track i really enjoy is grumble volcano from the wii
How can I hate or dislike every tracks of this top 5 xD
Seriously, to me Yoshi Circuit and DK Mountain are my top 2 worst Double Dash tracks, I really hate Waluigi Pinball (maybe a trauma from Mario Kart Tour 😶), and I personnally don't like anything in Maple Treeway or Coconut Mall but I don't hate
However I didn't played MKDS or WII so I never played on the original ones and I also don't have any special memorie with them since I've mainly played MK8 and Tour, so my fav' tracks are mainly from those games with :
Singapore Speedway (1 & 2)
Los Angeles Laps (1 & 3)
Berlin Byways (1 & 2)
Airship Fortress
Moonview Highway (even I never played it 😶)
Mount Wario
Rainbow Road (3DS)
Sunshine Airport
And more surprisingly, I really love RMX Vanilla Lake 1 (I cannot explain why however xD)
I was disappointed that 0 tour tracks were on this list every tour track is amazing

I basically took all the tracks you presented here and tried to rank them by difficulty via memory (and double-checking which Cup they originally came from).

Waluigi stadium GameCube is awesome it was my favorite on Mario kart double dash.jumping the rings of fire, blasting the song of Ladies n gentlemen like old times.

How dare Toads Factory not be on this List, it can replace Waluigi Pinball as #3
I wouldn’t replace waluigi pinball, but I love toad factory, it should be remade in my opinion
Something like that happened on mushroom gorge and snow land but I assumed it was my joycons drifting. My engine reved but I was not moving.

I'm surprised Ninja Hideaway isn't on this list seeing how everyone seems to agree it's one of the best in the series
I imagine its probably because of its Tour origins
Personally I'd swap it for DK Jungle Parkway in this list
I’m surprised the MK8 version of N64 rainbow road didn’t make the list
danm the latest content is great! sad to see the channel isn´t growing that much..,.
This list will likely change when the 6th wave is complete
My favorite course’s are wii koopa cave ,switch wild woods, DS Delfino square, 3DS Music 🎵 park, Snes koopa beach 1, GBA lakeside park, N64 Royal raceway, GCN dino dino 🦕 jungle and finally Arcade splash circuit
Where’s Big Blue tho
This was a really good list but then I realised Tick Tock Clock is completely missing, I expected it to be top 3. Also Piranha Plant Pipeway and Melody Motorway are top 20 for me
Sky Garden is my favorite with Elerodrome beingy 2nd.

The 9th mainline Mario Kart has some pretty good tracks, glad people can play them in 8.
Same here Sydney Sprint is my favorite city track but only NS Sydney Sprint also known as the version from the booster course pass
I also would put excitebike arena on the list, I love the repeated jumps and how the ramps are randomly placed every time
