Literally think GCN Baby Park specifically in Double Dash is a top 10 track in the whole series. It’s basically was a battle mode with unique items in a short track. The execution far exceeded what they intended with the track. I play this track on repeat with my friends on Dolphin.
I still don't understand why people don't like Dry Dry Dunes, it's one of my favorites from MK8 and it has a great song to back it up. I can understand if it's because of the off-road but considering that break drifting is a valid tactic in MK8 for many tracks it really isn't that hard.
Daisy circuit is the only track I have that isn’t already in the game or confirmed for the game that I want. It’s my absolute favorite track of all time.
Hard agree with Baby Park being the worst, the chaos of all of the items is the worst aspect of Mario Kart and that's the only "fun" to be had on that course. I don't agree about Toad's Turnpike and Water Park though. The original Toad's Turnpike was fine for its time, it being the first highway level with cars everywhere made it pretty intense and nerve racking, and the 8 remake fleshed it out pretty well adding cars for you to trick/glide on and an antigrav section on the side. Water Park could've been better, but the loop de loop was still fun. Man though, between Water Park and Baby Park not having actual theme park gimmicks, they really need to make a good amusement park track. Like, with roller coasters, ferris wheels, bumper cars, etc. That would be really fun.
The fact that Baby Park is so chaotic represents Mario Kart, right? Mario Kart is just chaotic, isn't it? So what do you mean it doesn't represent Mario Kart? And the fact that it's so chaotic doesn't make it fun?
@@SuperPlacido1 I never said it doesn't represent Mario Kart, I said it wasn't fun. Chaos can be fun sometimes, but in a competitive game like Mario Kart it introduces an unwanted luck element to the gameplay that causes you to lose because of forces beyond your control. That can feel unfair at times and can get especially irritating in single player when you're trying to complete a course and the CPU nukes you into oblivion because RNG. That's why I say it's the worst aspect of Mario Kart, it is Mario Kart, but it represents the most controversial aspects of the gameplay.
@@militor_207 Just because it's always been there doesn't mean it needs to be. It's not fun and enjoyable, especially if you're playing single player or competitive.
Toad's Turnpike. Fastest disagreement in history. I loved the highway concept, with cars, which as a child gave you the dream to drive! And the items on exits are a great idea 😁 The extra mode was also CRAZY 😆 One of the hardest tracks!!
The concept is great but I feel like they could have made it more interesting, I don’t like it’s just a circle with no shortcuts or anything, they definently improved on the concept with tracks like moonville highway and shroom ridge.
both excitebike and baby park are insanely fun, i dont get why people hate them, especially baby park. "oh its too chaotic i dont like it" well THATS THE FUCKING POINT OF BABY PARK, and as for excitebike, its basic because excitebike was basic, and even then its still a unique and cool track thats chaotic and basically built for 200cc, which is not something a lot of other tracks can say
I liked GCN Baby Park in MKDD because characters had their own super items that added alot of unique chaos that you couldnt get in any other track in the series, esp since the grass was lowered so items could go over it. In MK8D however; yea, it sucks, very boring, anti gravity shoved in for no reason, and the chaos is just standard MK8D chaos at this rate
Yoshi Falls used to be my favorite track I’m pretty sure, not sure why but I remember always taking the waterfall path, I want a better iteration in the booster course, thanks for reminding me of it, even if it was to diss it, also I used Baby Park on custom race rules 200cc only coins and mushrooms to grind coins for kart parts, I remember that, good times
For the dlc It’s neat there adding mushroom gorge which is the name of Scott the wozs bedroom according to his Mario kart wii video and borderline forever
Funny how Nintendo uses "classic" for retro tracks. But, Never ports the double dash , mario kart wii , or 3ds . When those games have some sweet tracks that need ports ,
I don’t see anyone talking about WII Mario Circuit. I’m generally not a big fan of Mario Circuits, most of them are fine… but WII Mario circuit is super boring! Like, there’s one chain chomp and a few goombas. That’s it. It doesn’t make up for the extremely long straightaway on this track where nothing happens.
For me one of the worst tracks is Rainbow Road (N64) (original version) because it's completely walled off with guardrails making it impossible to fall off and, is fairly wide making it very easy to avoid banana peels (which are only effective on turns in MK64), has only 2 easy to avoid chain chomps, and is stupidly long to the point where you would've already finished a race on a different course by the time you completed a single lap, it's a terrible final race (which is supposed to be the hardest race of the game to truly test your skills to prove that you truly deserve the gold, something that the previous game got right), it's really only good visually and has good music which can really get old by the time you reach the final lap
Rainbow Road on 8 is not as good as the others. The whole thing is a space station. It's not really as colorful than the other rainbow roads either. It's very quick too.
I think mk8 raibow road is the best aesthetically one and has a pretty good layout,I think it's pretty underrated. Imo 3DS raibow road is the most overrated track of all time,it's boring.
About Baby Park, you say it's chaotic and boring, when it can't be. If it's chaotic, then how can it be boring? And since the circuit is so short, then it doesn't time to be boring, right?
I'm not really agreeing with baby park and excitebike, baby park is very fun due to it's chaotic nature it become incredibly hard to maintain 1st place consistently providing a challenge based on reflexes we don't see often in this game As for excitebike the real interesting part is that the ramps are never the same so you can't "get used" to the track but i agree it's not the most exciting one
@@SuperPlacido1 pretty much the reasons listen the video. Unlike most people im just not a fan of the hectic nature and the track layout itself is repetitive and just nothing im too crazy abt. I’m more into tracks with more wild layouts like maple tree way or mount wario

Here's my worst 5 : - 3DS Neo Bowser City : Dislike the music and the atmosphere - N64 Luigi / Mario Raceway : Very boring - N64 Rainbow Road (the original) : Even more boring - SNES Bowser Castle 2 : Undrivable - DS DK Pass : Hate the overall layout, nothing "DK" related
First time I've ever heard anything against Neo Bowser City lol, I find it a very fun track that plays similarly to Yoshi Circuit, very drifty and tight
Excitebike is easily my worst. Its so dependent on items and is so boring. Sure the layout changes, but I can barely tell. Plus, Baby Park is in 8, which is a much better version of it.
I only agree with vanilla lake and MAYBE moo moo meadows being on this list. As a matter of fact, I feel like your "honorable mentions" contained more list-worthy tracks than what you put on your list. Vanilla lake should definitely be number 1 btw...
My personal opinion on each placement: 10: While i love the atmosphere of the two versions, i found the N64 version the more irritating (not to brag or anything but i was just able to drive between two trucks next to each other), but in 8 i found it way easier, maybe for the better. 9: Neutral on this track, if anything it's one of the hardest time trial tracks due to the Monty Mole RNG. 8: One of the better SNES tracks that's not Rainbow Road, but has no place in the Booster Course Pass. 7: My DS bias starts to show but I liked the small details like the pyramid and the steep inclines at the end of the track. Not my fav desert themed track, but it's a close second behind Dry Dry Ruins 6: Personally, I'd rank this number 1. Those ice blocks make the pace stop COMPLETELY, not fun at all and Snow Land is better than this will ever dream of being. 5: DS bias back at it again, back in the day i found this track okay given i never played a single racing game ever before MKDS, but nowadays i agree it's very basic, although the tricks in Wii are pretty cool. 4: I'll take this over Frappè Snowland any day of the week. 3: Not even pulling the 200cc card, i found the track very fun with all the tricks you can do. 2: Same as no. 5, but 8's Mario Circuit feels like a much better spiritual successor. 1: If we were talking DS Baby Park then i probably would agree, but i personally enjoyed the DD and 8 versions a lot, but maybe it's because i love how chaotic it can get with all of the objects in either version.
I have a worst list too. It’s purely Nitro Tracks however. Here we go: 10. Yoshi Falls 9. Luigi Circuit (Wii) 8. Mario Circuit (GBA) 7. Donut Plains 1 6. Sherbet Land (GCN) 5. Mario Circuit 1 4. Bowser Castle 1 (SNES) 3. Figure-8 Circuit 2. Vanilla Lake 1 1. Vanilla Lake 2
Brutal Excitebike is one of my favorites but we all have opinions so no worries lol. Also screw baby park never disliked a track more horrific time lol.
I have a strong hate for the snes era courses. Sure, they were important to the series, but my god these courses are boring. It doesn't help that Nintendo apparently doesn't want to do anything to them in the remakes of them either like they're doing with GBA tracks.
My least favorite is Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64, i know it is a fan favorite but the track is nearly 6 minutes long, there are walls all over the track and nothing interesting happens through the entire track aside from some turns and a few chain chomps here and there
I agree with Baby Park. I hate it. Also... im actually not a fan of a lot of MK8 tracks. They are okay... but my problem is that the Straights are often pretty boring. Like the last straight of thromp ruins.
Toad's Turnpike on the N64 is terrible if you end up falling behind because red shells just never worked on this course at all unless you were right behind the person in front of you
I hate Baby Park, glad to see you put it in first place. Everyone picks it on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for some reason despite it being the blandest track ever, it's the only one with no fun at-all because you're just turning the entire time. At least Excite Bike Arena, while boring, gives you straightaways with jumps for a breather instead of just making you turn repeatedly.
I partially have to agree with your #1, purely out of spite toward how they handled the return of this track. Mario Kart DS, 8, and 8 Deluxe just fail on all fronts with the return of this track. Mario Kart 8’s accessible mechanics and DS’s alterations turn this track into a waste of potential for what could have been otherwise put toward bringing back another simple course that could have been done better justice. Item dragging alone kills the entire thrill of front running on these returning retro tracks, and almost every single change that the developers made from the original ends up feeling for the worse. It comes off to me that it returned for the simplicity of its design without considering if the new mechanics would justify the feeling to race on. It’s one thing to introduce a new course that tries something unique and not stick the landing, but to absolutely fall flat on a second, third, and technically fourth chance is just pathetic. I find it almost poetic though, that my favorite course in the entire series, without question, is Mario Kart Double Dash!!’s Baby Park. The original Baby Park feels like the essence of Mario Kart compressed into its purest form. Combined with Double Dash!!’s specific mechanics, (no item dragging, item swapping, directional spin outs, having a clear display of top racers, quick top speed recovery, item stealing with boosts, dropping juggled items, instant drift, and of course, an entire onslaught of special items to name a just a few features) it takes the act of balancing clever item management and performing skillful, on the spot maneuvers to a whole new level. If you think deeply into the intrinsics of it, Double Dash!!’s Baby Park could actually be considered the most skill based track in the entire series, at least for multiplayer. It’s still entirely possible to take consecutive wins with honed skill of Double Dash!!’s deeper mechanics, while still having that feeling that anyone has a fair chance of taking the gold. I feel like what Baby Park was at first, was only supposed to ever be a test demo map, however; since the developers found it so much fun in actual execution, it was slated to be a realized track for everyone to experience. I genuinely don’t think it would have been included in Double Dash!! if it really was “boring” or “just an oval” like its later incarnations. I personally prefer Mario Kart tracks to have a more grounded, natural feel to them, and Mario Kart Double Dash!! provides a good selection of them, but I think it makes the one-off inclusion of Baby Park, being the most chaotic course in the entire series, an excellent exception for game variation. - Noah
seeing baby park at no.1 made me wanna cry. it’s such a fun course! now one that wasn’t mentioned and probably forgotten a lot, do jungle parkway, HOLY CRAP THATS SUCH A BAD TRACK.
I uhhh Tokyo blur on honorable mentions. What’s wrong with water park. Ok what was the community thinking. I’m going to mostly agree with with you btw. Especially baby park.
@@SuperPlacido1 it’s a basic oval but even shorter which is worse. Excite bike has the ramps to trick off from which is an extra that makes me do more than just hold down A
I actually really like desert hills, the u turns at the end are both fun to drive and provide great shortcut potential. Plus the shortcut behind the pyramid - it gives surprisingly fun races.
I'd argue Sky High Sundae is worse than ExciteBike, but since they're both circles with ramps, I guess that makes them less special, alongside Baby Park I really hope we don't get any more oval tracks in Booster Course Pass because having all 3 in the same game is rough
I appreciate you not just copping out and saying all snes and gba tracks because lots of people tend to do that. I also agree with most of your list. However I disagree with the snes Mario circuits as they are some of my favorite tracks. I would’ve put choco island 2 at number 1 or 2 because that along with baby park is one of the few tracks i outright hate. I’m really worried that might return to 8 because we get 1 more snes track and it likely will not be a vanilla lake or ghost valley which only leaves a choco island, koopa beach, and a bowsers castle (which they refuse to acknowledge snes bcs for some reason even though they are fun
I always hated Mario Circuit 3, and the randomizer on Wii always seemed to choose it. Imagine my disappointment when I saw it in the booster course video.
The problem with Mario Kart right now is we are getting DLC for a game that is 10 years old... MK8 is still the same racing as it was then, no new mechanics or anything means the new tracks will be bland after a couple races as the driving is still as boring as ever. MKWii was the last time MK Racing felt really good. So I never got the DLC for MK8 and won't be getting it at any point. All I hope for is a new Kart racer that is good but that won't be for a few years. Chocobo GP was a complete dumpster fire and doesn't deserve any play no one should be touching that and CTR Nitro Fueled was fantastic but short lived unfortunately. Still the best modern cart racing experience there is right now though. It's unfortunate with how fell the kart genre should hold an online scene that most all of the current ones just don't measure up or have the community needed for it to thrive.
Disagree with: Toads Turnpike: The traffic and ambiance is cool. MooMoo Farm: Lots of bumps in the road. Desert HIlls: One of the best desert tracks, again a lot of verticality. Vanilla Lake 2 (there's no 3): Jumping over the water into the ice islands was cool.
I personally think all of these listed are alright. Except for maybe Toad's Turnpike (the original version at least; especially in Extra Mode), Figure-8 Circuit (especially) Yoshi Falls and Desert Hills. And I actually quite like Baby Park. And I think Mario Kart 8 handled Baby Park quite well (especially with the music). But, I respect your opinion if you dislike Baby Park.
In the future we might see vanilla lake being removed as a Course track in wave 5 or 6 Because of the hints that They had in the remake of Coconut mall
I'm surprised you put excitebike in this list. This track is different every time it's loaded with different ramp placement, boosters and slow downs. It's a new experience every time which i love about that track
I only disliked the DS version of Baby Park because it’s only five laps instead of seven, and with only eight characters and each only holding one item at a time, results in fewer hitboxes flying around the map which made that track fun in the first place. At least Mario Kart 8 brought back seven laps, and with twelve racers, each holding two items in the Deluxe version, brings back the item chaos, with so many green shells flying around the track.
You should have at the very least, give a mention to Mario Kart Tour's version of Koopa Cape. It had gone through a major downgrade in aesthetics from the Wii and 3DS entries of the franchise, and now the MKT version of Koopa Cape looks like that it was made in Roblox. This definitely has to be a gigantic middle finger to the home of one of my favorite soundtracks of the entire Mario Kart franchise.

In what universe is Rosalina’s Ice World among the worst tracks? I get 7 was full of shitty tracks but that one was a hidden gem
If you feel like torturing yourself: Baby Park, 200cc, Shells Only, 48 races. See how long you can stand it.
I'm gonna go do that now...
@@boltstrike2787 "unwanted luck" there's always unwanted luck in Mario kart
@@militor_207 Just because it's always been there doesn't mean it needs to be. It's not fun and enjoyable, especially if you're playing single player or competitive.
...why play Mario Kart then? That's it's schtick.
i gasped at excitebike and baby park being on this list
Toad's Turnpike. Fastest disagreement in history. I loved the highway concept, with cars, which as a child gave you the dream to drive! And the items on exits are a great idea 😁 The extra mode was also CRAZY 😆 One of the hardest tracks!!
The concept is great but I feel like they could have made it more interesting, I don’t like it’s just a circle with no shortcuts or anything, they definently improved on the concept with tracks like moonville highway and shroom ridge.
When I play online people always pick excitebike arena and baby park like WHY!?!?!?!
Because they know quality
both excitebike and baby park are insanely fun, i dont get why people hate them, especially baby park.
There is antigravity for the chaos and for hitting frequently other racers, but I agree with the fact that is a bit boring
When those games have some sweet tracks that need ports ,
Yes, Vanilla Lake 3 is the worst: it’s so bad it doesn’t even exist
Holy heck your video quality has jumped way up in the past year, keep it up
I don’t see anyone talking about WII Mario Circuit.
Summary of the video: Nin10doland hates turning
Rainbow Road on 8 is not as good as the others. The whole thing is a space station. It's not really as colorful than the other rainbow roads either. It's very quick too.
I think mk8 raibow road is the best aesthetically one and has a pretty good layout,I think it's pretty underrated.
Imo 3DS raibow road is the most overrated track of all time,it's boring.
@@brobro2673 ratio then
Not fond of how it’s more of MKTV’s satellite/space station, rather than an actual Rainbow Road, but it’s still a very fun course tbh
About Baby Park, you say it's chaotic and boring, when it can't be. If it's chaotic, then how can it be boring? And since the circuit is so short, then it doesn't time to be boring, right?
I'm not really agreeing with baby park and excitebike, baby park is very fun due to it's chaotic nature it become incredibly hard to maintain 1st place consistently providing a challenge based on reflexes we don't see often in this game
As for excitebike the real interesting part is that the ramps are never the same so you can't "get used" to the track but i agree it's not the most exciting one
Wow, i thought i was the only one who hated baby park… glad to know im not alone
What you don't like about Baby Park?
@@SuperPlacido1 pretty much the reasons listen the video. Unlike most people im just not a fan of the hectic nature and the track layout itself is repetitive and just nothing im too crazy abt. I’m more into tracks with more wild layouts like maple tree way or mount wario
It is one of the Mario Kart tracks of all time
@@nebraskabirdwatching9521 I think you are missing a word in your sentence. And did you say that because it's a meme? If so, first of all, you have no originality and secondly, you haven't thought about the fact that it's not very clever to write that. You don't have to do the same stupid things that others do, you know.
Surprised Mario Kart Stadium isn’t here
Here's my worst 5 :
- 3DS Neo Bowser City : Dislike the music and the atmosphere
- N64 Luigi / Mario Raceway : Very boring
- N64 Rainbow Road (the original) : Even more boring
- SNES Bowser Castle 2 : Undrivable
- DS DK Pass : Hate the overall layout, nothing "DK" related
First time I've ever heard anything against Neo Bowser City lol, I find it a very fun track that plays similarly to Yoshi Circuit, very drifty and tight
Excitebike is easily my worst. Its so dependent on items and is so boring. Sure the layout changes, but I can barely tell. Plus, Baby Park is in 8, which is a much better version of it.
no way yyou complain about exitebike being too rng then you say you like baby park 💀💀
@@Bruh08 ikr, the irony
There's only Vanilla lake 1 and 2, no Vanilla lake 3 and is Bone Dry Dunes, no Dry Dry Dunes xd
I only agree with vanilla lake and MAYBE moo moo meadows being on this list. As a matter of fact, I feel like your "honorable mentions" contained more list-worthy tracks than what you put on your list. Vanilla lake should definitely be number 1 btw...
Justice for ExciteBike, that course is so underrated
My personal opinion on each placement:
10: While i love the atmosphere of the two versions, i found the N64 version the more irritating (not to brag or anything but i was just able to drive between two trucks next to each other), but in 8 i found it way easier, maybe for the better.
Not my fav desert themed track, but it's a close second behind Dry Dry Ruins
6: Personally, I'd rank this number 1.
More honorable mentions:
Donut Plains
Mario Raceway
Ice Ice Outpost
Wario Shipyard
Neo Bowser City
Nahhh neo bowser city is great
i dont know where you got the last three from, they are all amazing tracks lol
i do feel like nintendo gave rosalina an ice world because of the blue icy planet that she used to build her observatory
I have a worst list too. It’s purely Nitro Tracks however. Here we go:
10. Yoshi Falls
9. Luigi Circuit (Wii)
8. Mario Circuit (GBA)
7. Donut Plains 1
6. Sherbet Land (GCN)
5. Mario Circuit 1
4. Bowser Castle 1 (SNES)
3. Figure-8 Circuit
2. Vanilla Lake 1
1. Vanilla Lake 2
seeing excitebike and baby park on this list makes me so happy
Brutal Excitebike is one of my favorites but we all have opinions so no worries lol. Also screw baby park never disliked a track more horrific time lol.
I have a strong hate for the snes era courses. Sure, they were important to the series, but my god these courses are boring. It doesn't help that Nintendo apparently doesn't want to do anything to them in the remakes of them either like they're doing with GBA tracks.
5:33 I actually like Yoshi Falls unironically. Yes, it's simple. But I don't mind it
My least favorite is Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64, i know it is a fan favorite but the track is nearly 6 minutes long, there are walls all over the track and nothing interesting happens through the entire track aside from some turns and a few chain chomps here and there
I 100% agree on baby park on number 1, it’s the only Mario Kart 8 deluxe track I wish I can ban on my tournament!
water park is actually a more creative name than everyone thought it actually means wa is in wario and waluigi park
I highly disagree with baby park. The chaos makes it fun! Especially on double dash
Unpopular opinion: I actually really like Tokyo Blur, it's one of my favorite tracks on the game, I don't get why people hate it so much
Imo its kinda boring to drive , it misses on obstacles, shortcuts and really doesnt look that great from the graphic (look at New Dong City or Paris)

I’d also like to say that your reasons for disliking excite bike stands out more on baby park. This could be a take so.
What do you don't like about Baby Park?
@@SuperPlacido1 it’s a basic oval but even shorter which is worse. Excite bike has the ramps to trick off from which is an extra that makes me do more than just hold down A
I hate Vanilla Lakes 1 and 2! They're my worst courses.
I actually really like desert hills, the u turns at the end are both fun to drive and provide great shortcut potential. Plus the shortcut behind the pyramid - it gives surprisingly fun races.
Also rosalina’s ice world should not be in the honourable mentions - love that track.
4:47 Vanilla Lake 3? Did you mean the second one?

No, I like Yoshi Falls too.
I remember playing this Track and Baby Park for hours trying to beat this bots best time which was nearly impossible
Unpopular (?) opinion: Moonview Highway = god tier
Fiiinallyyyyyyyyyyy someone agrees that exitebike is trash
I'd argue Sky High Sundae is worse than ExciteBike, but since they're both circles with ramps, I guess that makes them less special, alongside Baby Park
I really hope we don't get any more oval tracks in Booster Course Pass because having all 3 in the same game is rough
Finally someone who acknowledges toad’s turnpike is awful
AND Baby Park

Disagree with:
Toads Turnpike: The traffic and ambiance is cool.
In the future we might see vanilla lake being removed as a Course track in wave 5 or 6 Because of the hints that They had in the remake of Coconut mall
every reason was " its boring"
I am so glad you put baby park at number one. I’ve always thought it was a horrible track and it’s extremely overrated.
What do you don't like about Baby Park?
Baby Park is goated, he somehow hates every thing that makes the track goated.
bone dry dunes is overhated to the point it's underrated, it honestly slowly grew on me and I realized it isn't as bad as people say it is
I'm surprised you put excitebike in this list. This track is different every time it's loaded with different ramp placement, boosters and slow downs. It's a new experience every time which i love about that track
vanilla lake 2 = worst track ever in Mario kart series 😑
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on Baby Park.
I personally not even close to agree with baby park it is actually one of my favorites but over all great vide
"Each round takes 15 seconds"
timer: 19 seconds
This definitely has to be a gigantic middle finger to the home of one of my favorite soundtracks of the entire Mario Kart franchise.
how can you put Tokyo Blur in there but not DS Choco Mountain? that is just beyond
Tokyo is not bad end excite bike is really fun because of the Random layout and baby park is one of the best mario kart track's of all time except the ds Version
