Spoilers for Origami King My least favorite boss was King Olly himself. Every boss I ran into in this game was memorable and twisted up the normal boss mechanic in some way, so I was getting REALLY hyped to see what the final boss had in store! And then... King Olly's fight reused mechanics from old bosses, and his first phase was over in a matter of minutes. The phases afterward boil down to (for lack of a better term) "mini-games" and some quick-time events. It was an immensely disappointing end to a game that managed to pleasantly surprise me on several occasions, despite how skeptical I was at first. What's worse is that I love this game best for it's boss fights, so for the last one to be the only one that I can say was bad... Yeah, I was not happy. Disappointment alone, it's my least favorite fight; but honestly, if I replay Origami King again, I'll keep an eye out for any boss that is objectively worse instead of the one that simply felt worse at the time.
I disagree on the Torkdrift choice. It may have been easy, but it was a great way to utilize the abilities of one of the best captures in the game. I'd say the worst fight in the game is the Spewart rematch. It's just too similar to his first fight. All the other Broodals change something about the fight to make it harder, but not him. Technically, he does walk around now rather than stand still, but that's such a small change that most players don't even notice it. And it certainly does nothing to increase the difficulty.
24:55 I was honestly expecting you to pick the Chilly Ride fight for Dark Moon, that boss made me put the game down for YEARS because of how bad it was
Some games you missed were Mario + Rabbids, Hotel Mario, Mario's Missing, Bowser's Minions, Bowser Jr.'s Journey, Mario Puzzles and Dragons, Dr. Mario 64, Super Mario Run, Mario Maker 2, Wario Land 1,(Mario's in the ending) and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. (some of the M&S games have bosses)
Funny you said that you won't count the series like Yoshi or Wario because they're spin-offs. Any Mario game series that isn't the Super Mario or New Super Mario Bros. series are spin-offs meaning the Mario Kart games, Mario Party games, and all of the RPGs.
With the Dancing Wirlindos what you have to do to catch them is to not look directly to them because that's when they dissapear. In order for you to catch them you have to wait until they do a reverence to each other to put the light on them and catch them. But yeah, it's to dificult to figure this out (specially when you're a little kid that has the game in a foreign language).
for 3d world and bowser’s fury I think it’s actually Pom Pom the reason is that she has just one attack throwing a shuryuken she doesn’t even have a shell attack (she had one in 3d land)
mario kart wii also had some boss fights within the tournaments that were basically like mkds mission mode bosses, either on a track racing against someone or in the Galaxy Colosseum arena
The fact that the Ice boss in Dark Moon isn't the worst boss of that game is a crime. That fight legit made me quit the game for a while. Also, I wish you included Mario Party: Star Rush.
Do all want to know what would be a perfect villain for a next Mario rabbits game? The shroobs from partners in time because they have ray guns, UFOs, and other technology. Do you guys think thats a good idea?
Love the idea. I miss the M&L games. This would really bring back so much nostalgia since the shroobs would be appearing in a mainline Mario game instead of a spin off.
2:07 The reason why is because it's actually the dream machine that wart turned into a nightmare as part of his tyranny, wich turn against him because the machine produce HIS own nightmare and only weakness:vegetables
an amusing trick: if you throw the king bob-omb off the mountain and them move away, the camera will zoom out SO far that you can see the ENTIRE level! oh, something i read about "stickier star": JUST before the Bowser fight, you have a weird encounter with Magikoopa, who casts a spell on your Stickers that makes them ALL LOOK THE SAME for the rest of his battle, AND makes them do ALMOST NO DAMAGE! so unless you REMEMBER which one is in which space, you WILL waste a BUNCH of the more valuable ones, INCLUDING THE ONES YOU SPECIFICALLY NEED FOR BOWSER! so you MUST do a BUNCH of backtracking to find a shop and re-stock BEFORE Bowser! a VERY dirty trick!
Hm, how very interesting, this was a very impressively made Video. Also, fair and valid points and opinions, I wonder what kind of Bosses we’ll see in the Next Game? Also, I was sort of expecting Super Mario + Rabbids, does that one not count?
I don't see why so many people hate Clem's boss battle. All I did was have Gooigi stay on the outside to catch Clem whenever I popped his floatie. It wasn't that bad.
Yeah but it doesn't mean much if you already have defeated at least two or 3 of the Reznors by then and you can just jump on one of their platforms making you only have to worry about the last one(s) fireballs.
Capturing the Dancing Whirlwinds is simple. You must stand on the rotating platforms looking away from the boss and a few seconds later the man will make a small sound and will show his heart. That's when you can point the light at them.
The most inexplicable thing about NSMB2 Reznor is that it's nerfed from SMW Reznor with 2 fewer and no collapsing bridge. Was the original boss really too difficult?
Prince frog in yoshi's island is awesome! It is an easy fight, but it's SO cool when magikoopa uses its magic and you are expecting the frog to get big but instead you get small
I think the reason you say Mario Party 9's bosses are amazing is because someone pointed out that each world boss is themed to a certain skill, for example, Whomp and King Bob-Omb are mind games with the other players, Spike and Chainchomp are reaction time, and Bowser Jr. and Bowser are luck based.
9:13 I was shocked when you said Wiggler was easy, he's the final boss of Mission Mode so he's meant to be the hardest because he's the fastest. For me the worst boss in Mario Kart DS is King Boo because he takes your coins like every 20 seconds and you have to keep hitting him to get them back
17:30 I’m surprised you picked this one when Hammer Bro is just Simon Says. Dry Bones isn’t much better but Hammer Bro is literally just a very short game of Simon Says that can be won in less than 30 seconds
You didn't do Yoshi's Story. That one would definitely be Cloud N. Candy. She's just a giant cloud that hops across the screen, and Yoshi just keeps licking her with his tongue until she's gone. And each time he licks her, he regains health too! She even tells him how to beat her at the start of the fight.
I remember really disliking Bowser Jr.'s battle from Mario Party 9. And, yeah, that part of King Bob-omb's fight does get frustrating, but I dislike Bowser Jr.'s much more, simply because it doesn't FEEL like a boss or mini boss. Take away the battle music and you could trick me into thinking I was doing regular turns: You're just throwing dice and hoping for something to happen. And it drags on and on, hardly changing stuff up even at the half-health point. At least with Bowser, you get to run around, throw the dice multiple times, avoid the fireballs and the enemies and tilting in the second phase breaks the fight up decently. Oh and, I know no one asked, but out of the MP9 bosses (most of which I love), my favourite is probably Chain Chomp. I can't even fully put my finger on it, something about it is just so much fun to me and I actually tense up a little, watching the carts go down the rails... Especially when you have 4 players and you KNOW that, starting the half-health point, someone's sure to get chomped every turn (pun intended)
25:27 Just use Gooigi when your out of the water to capture him. I argue that there's way worst bosses in LM3 than Clem, Johnny Deepend's ends within a matter of seconds, Kaiju Goob is just a waiting game and Chambera is a glorified tutorial for the suction shot which wasn't really needed considering how easy it was to use.
I remember when i saw the fire elemental in a trailer. I thought it was a badass boss cuz it's a mystical creatures we never saw before in the paper Mario games
The worst boss I ever fought in a Mario game was Gobblegut from Galaxy 2. I hated that you had to destroy all the pink rings that cover its body, and after you destroy all of them, it explodes. I’m like “Nintendo, what the flip is this? This is so he most weirdest and yet one of the worst bosses I’ve ever fought and defeated in order to get a grand star to get to world 2 in the game.”
I'm absolutely shocked that you forgot about the Mario + rabbids series! Especially since you know, they are the first thing to be shown in your video opening! XD
Honestly, the bosses in Sticker Star are just terrible in general. They don’t even feel like boss fights. It’s you either come to the fight with the right item or you die. Garbage game design.
The black shy guy can dodge your attacks if you don’t stun. U are supposed to use a thing card but using a pow is speedrun strat in my opinion so certified speedrunner!🎉
Hey mr nin10doland, could you do a look back or something on Kirby's epic yarn, its my favorite Kirby game, also do you think it'd be possible that Nintendo rereleases it on switch or a new version (hopefully better than the extra epic version)
22:21 WOW, just gonna hard disagree there. One of the best fights in the game. The twist of suddenly seeing Kamek transform YOU and not the enemy was creative, the fight was straight forward unlike some of the weirdly convoluted fights, and there's a fun sense of urgency and intensity in it as the acid increases and you can tell you're upsetting the stomach. Know who REALLY sucks in Yoshi's Island? Roger the Potted Ghost. First off, its not even based on an enemy, its based on a item. And how do you beat it? You just kind of... push him off the ledge. He needs 2 Shy Guys with him to not die. He occasionally pushes you back or spits fire, but not enough to make it a challenge. Just hold right and you'll be done the fight in like 15 seconds.
For those who said he forgot Mario + Rabbids. Here's my take on who is the worst of the 2 games, but this is subjective. I would say Kingdom was Icicle golem. The fight took long, and him constantly freezing abilities was obnoxious. Enemies like supporters and smashers came out, which were super obnoxious, and you were forced to use Peach which we all know she was meh in that game compared to Sparks of Hope, and the game wouldn't allow you to use powerhouses like R.Mario. Honorable mentions of Pirabbid Plant for being the 1st boss and fighting him challenged over and over again, or Bowser Jr./Bowser having an obnoxious beat 3/7 turns if you are a completionist For Sparks of Hope, especially when playing in hardest difficulty. Giant Darkmess Depleter can be challenging. Enemies keep spawning. Mega Deleter can almost one-shot characters like Luigi. It heals when shooting. It has a counter. Its HP is massive. But if you love challenges, he can be challenging. (I still did it first try with Rabbid Rosa Ennui, Rabbid Mario with Ethering, and Luigi). You can always do the giant Wildclaw since he is the first boss or Darkmess Edge because she can be pathetically cheesed.

Mario was never known for its boss lineups…
Yeah fr
Unless it's Super Mario Galaxy.
@@charliep7112 true. And Odyssey. And Mario RPGs.
Super mario 64, galaxy and Sunshine
Do I mean nothing to you
@@machineferret3359
64: Yes you do mean nothing to me
Sunshine and the Galaxy games though… great boss lineups
Spoilers for Origami King
My least favorite boss was King Olly himself.
24:54 showtime (old clockworks) is the worst boss I do like it but it’s not a boss
24:55 I was honestly expecting you to pick the Chilly Ride fight for Dark Moon, that boss made me put the game down for YEARS because of how bad it was
pls do a rank for every mario and luigi boss fight
I would now like to see a video covering the BEST boss battle in every Mario game!
When you said like and subscribe I just went for it😂
I agree totally!! Thanks for posting. I love the old retro games too.
God, I feel you on the Clem one. That floatie's so hard to control the first time
18:30 if you ever beat this bob-omb boss in more than 5mn then you're the problem, not the boss. tf you mean 30-40 minutes
Didn't the Black Shy Guy dodge all of your attacks though? That was the whole point of it. Did you just forget that?
Funny you said that you won't count the series like Yoshi or Wario because they're spin-offs. Any Mario game series that isn't the Super Mario or New Super Mario Bros. series are spin-offs meaning the Mario Kart games, Mario Party games, and all of the RPGs.
6:19 Mario: I don’t care about your skill, you’re a child, and I’m stronger than you.
And that’s the whole boss fight in one family buy cutaway joke
Mario Party Star Rush is crying in a corner lol
Besides that, great video!! :D
With the Dancing Wirlindos what you have to do to catch them is to not look directly to them because that's when they dissapear. In order for you to catch them you have to wait until they do a reverence to each other to put the light on them and catch them. But yeah, it's to dificult to figure this out (specially when you're a little kid that has the game in a foreign language).
for 3d world and bowser’s fury I think it’s actually Pom Pom
the reason is that she has just one attack throwing a shuryuken she doesn’t even have a shell attack (she had one in 3d land)
25:22 THANK YOU I HATED THIS LEVEL BECAUSE OF THE STAIRCASE I HAD TO GUESS THE CORRECT ONE LITERALLY FIRST TIME PLAYING THAT LEVEL
25:33 HOW COULD YOU SAY THIS? CLEM IS MY IDOL! 😭
Every time I want to replay Luigi's Mansion 3 I remember that the entire flooded basement level exists and decide against it.
mario kart wii also had some boss fights within the tournaments that were basically like mkds mission mode bosses, either on a track racing against someone or in the Galaxy Colosseum arena
The fact that the Ice boss in Dark Moon isn't the worst boss of that game is a crime. That fight legit made me quit the game for a while.
Also, I wish you included Mario Party: Star Rush.
that ice boss is the reason I will NEVER do a 2nd full playthrough of Dark Moon....
@@newageBoundhippie same...
Do the mario and sonic Olympic games count cause im fairly sure some of those had bosses? (At least the one i played [2010 winter olympics])
Do all want to know what would be a perfect villain for a next Mario rabbits game?
The shroobs from partners in time because they have ray guns, UFOs, and other technology.
Do you guys think thats a good idea?
Yeah! That’s an awesome idea! I love it!
Yeah Jason I agree I think that's a good idea.
Not a bad idea
My name is actually Cameron I’m using my dads channel.
Love the idea. I miss the M&L games. This would really bring back so much nostalgia since the shroobs would be appearing in a mainline Mario game instead of a spin off.
Twink vs. Kammy Koopa is a glorified cutscene. For proper bosses I would have gone with the Lantern Ghost.
I actually found the bowser fights in galaxy 2 to be fun
2:07 The reason why is because it's actually the dream machine that wart turned into a nightmare as part of his tyranny, wich turn against him because the machine produce HIS own nightmare and only weakness:vegetables
Can you do the best bosses next please?
So wary hates vegetables, but has a vegetables factory.. That’s like a vegan owning a slaughterhouse
an amusing trick:
if you throw the king bob-omb off the mountain and them move away, the camera will zoom out SO far that you can see the ENTIRE level!
oh, something i read about "stickier star":
JUST before the Bowser fight, you have a weird encounter with Magikoopa, who casts a spell on your Stickers that makes them ALL LOOK THE SAME for the rest of his battle, AND makes them do ALMOST NO DAMAGE!
so unless you REMEMBER which one is in which space, you WILL waste a BUNCH of the more valuable ones, INCLUDING THE ONES YOU SPECIFICALLY NEED FOR BOWSER!
so you MUST do a BUNCH of backtracking to find a shop and re-stock BEFORE Bowser!
a VERY dirty trick!
I agree that paper molters and rubber band are the most frustrating especially the purple chapter
For the Reznors, at least there's the extra little challenge of the floor breaking midway.
"every mario game that doesnt just have one boss"
Hotel Mario: ._.
GOD THAT PINBALL BOSS WAS A NIGHTMARE
24:56 People are terrified of PIANO in Big Boo’s Haunt from Mario 64.
Both Mario and Rabbids games as well as Mario Party 4 which had 6 bosses (though they were just minigames most of them) were missing.
The King Boo in this game looks weird his game in Luigi's Mansion 4:50
24:55 you are the worst person on the planet for thinking this, the w4 boss is way worse
9:13 I was shocked when you said Wiggler was easy, he's the final boss of Mission Mode so he's meant to be the hardest because he's the fastest. For me the worst boss in Mario Kart DS is King Boo because he takes your coins like every 20 seconds and you have to keep hitting him to get them back
I cant agree with bowser in galaxy 2 being so bad since his final music is so epic. And saving flowers from torkdrift makes me feel like a hero
17:30 I’m surprised you picked this one when Hammer Bro is just Simon Says. Dry Bones isn’t much better but Hammer Bro is literally just a very short game of Simon Says that can be won in less than 30 seconds
Will you ever do a best list?
Please do a best boss in each Mario game!
18:13 Yeah, I hate that one too.
And it's even worse on single player, since it becomes EXTREMELY luck-based.
They obviously possessed the staircase to block Luigi from progressing...
Sad Mario Party Star Rush wasn't featured
Did you not use Gooigi with Clem? Luigi shouldn’t have to leave the pool
Mario + rabbids sparks of hope and kingdom battle.
25:03 it sound like he said gym, as if he’s telling Luigi he’s fat.
The sister ghosts are terrible because they are hard and boring.
@@jpreaux76 agree to disagree.
Worst galaxy boss is the one in spacejunk, Freezy flame is a lot more fun
Agreed spacejunk was just so weird and strange
Which one from Space Junk, Kamela or Torontox?
I'm absolutely shocked that you forgot about the Mario + rabbids series! Especially since you know, they are the first thing to be shown in your video opening! XD
I’m so ashamed
@@Nin10doland it's ok! Everyone makes mistakes!
Honestly, the bosses in Sticker Star are just terrible in general. They don’t even feel like boss fights. It’s you either come to the fight with the right item or you die. Garbage game design.
Can you make a tier list with the scariest Kirby in the forgotten land bosses?
The black shy guy can dodge your attacks if you don’t stun. U are supposed to use a thing card but using a pow is speedrun strat in my opinion so certified speedrunner!🎉
I seriously thought you would pick the ice boss for dark moon.
Hey mr nin10doland, could you do a look back or something on Kirby's epic yarn, its my favorite Kirby game, also do you think it'd be possible that Nintendo rereleases it on switch or a new version (hopefully better than the extra epic version)
20:20 same old boss fight
No Mario and Rabbids?
I’m pretty sure the best boom boom is giant winged boom boom form a little Timmy level
In MM2
Honorable mentions of Pirabbid Plant for being the 1st boss and fighting him challenged over and over again, or Bowser Jr./Bowser having an obnoxious beat 3/7 turns if you are a completionist
For Sparks of Hope, especially when playing in hardest difficulty. You can always do the giant Wildclaw since he is the first boss or Darkmess Edge because she can be pathetically cheesed.
putting prince froggy as the worst is an absolute crime
