    Taking Miniturbos for granted is kinda crazy imo, since it's one of the main sources of gaining speed in any kart racer. playing one without this mechanic feels really slow and sluggish

    Wow, I thought bringing coins back was the perfect addition to the game. It keeps you constantly in the mindset of having something to do, every time you get hit, you lose coins and have to get them back, so it never gets stale. You may take different paths based on whether you're looking for coins, items, boosts, or shortcuts, the person in first is going to be hit by a lot, so the coin item can be very helpful for them, and the newest mechanic of never getting a coin if you already have one, makes for a lot of strategy. Do I use this coin now of wait till I go through another item box? What if I want a double item? But what if one of the items is a coin anyway? Or maybe I've just been hit with two red shells and a shock and I could really use two coin items? It's a lot of extra strategy to make your item usage interesting and less luck-based. It even give a reason to bag which is always fun.

    When it comes to anti gravity, it has to be the coolest, yet the greatest idea for the addition of Mario Kart, because not only will new tracks can be made more, but also to revamp some of the old tracks to be a lot better

    I like gliders but the biggest issue I have with them is how they affected cannons. You can no longer use them to avoid shocks or blue shells

    There are a couple of mechanics you forgot, like wheelies, automatic drifting, and frenzies

      I decided against wheelies because I felt it was too similar to kart customization. I completely forgot to mention bikes in Wii during that part. I never thought about automatic drifting or frenzies though! I probably wouldn't put automatic drifting cause it's also similar to Mini-Turbo. Frenzies are similar to special items being situational and based on characters so I'd probably lump them together or put it right under special items since they're much harder to get.

      Those are one mechanics the wheelie is overpowered in Mario kart not to mention inside drift made it more broken and not balanced in Wii and made karts completely useless because they lack speed to keep up with bikes is the only problem Wii has

    I disagree on the coins. The MK8DX implementation adds a lot of strategy to the game, both in races and in time trials. You forgot to mention that you get coins at the start of the race based on the grid position, 1 every 2 positions (up to 5 for 11th and 12th), for compensating the fact that the front runners get more coins on the track. Moreover, it’s impossible to get 2 coins at the same time (if it happens online, you are severely lagging and you are about to get kicked out), so the front runners always have an option to defend themselves

    The coin item, indeed throw it away, coins themselves, it gives the game a little extra depth, you always want to have 10 coins because then you are faster, but with every item you get hit you lose 3 coins, so you always have to be alert for coins because if you don't you can lose all your coins super fast, especially if you get Mario karted

    I like gliding not in MK8 Because it feels like the glider doesent glide In MK7 it was good you can hit down and up to get some good air time.

    Glider and hover are fun but seem a weird thing. Idk any other behind that. Oh ya purple turbo seem eh. But at least auto turbo a thing now I’m happy. 4:00 idk wat to think. 7:05 love some you pick it. 8:09 same at last some in shortcut only.

    Well the vehicle combination balance Mario kart in a way that it isn’t boring like the previous game before 7 it was bad in Wii had restrictions to characters that could only choose their weight classes but since Wii is unbalanced right out the window is made sense for Nintendo to at least try to balance Mario kart the other thing that’s missing is the glider cancel from 7 and better physics to have full control over your vehicle because 8 just makes it feel like fun and more automated then mk7 where u have more control over that. Not to make bringing back the fake item the only balance 1st place item in Mario kart.
