Back when I was playing FH2, TC1 was out as well. I found myself playing more TC1 purely due to the exploration factor! I loved the size of the map and the endless driving you could do. I haven't really played as much TC2 but this video has motivated me to play it more as I'm done with FH5 for now with all it's issues, recycling and other rubbish. It's a shame the driving physics aren't the same as FH. I love that you went through the photo-mode because The Crew's photo-mode is something all driving games should have and live up to. 💯 Great video!
I enjoyed TC1, for exactly the reasons you gave. It was an impressive offering at the time that was only dampened by the forced multiplayer where someone could invade your story mission and knock you off the road repeatedly. AND you couldn't repeat the story. So monumentally dumb. Rest of the game was a great arcade physics racing experience.

as someone that platined the 2 games, I can say that the 2 of them have theyre unique factors, forza are: graphics, realism, a really dense map with a unch of things to do in a "tiny" map, good history And still a good game to roleplay. As for The crew are: THE MAP THAT TAKES HALF AN HOUR AT 400Km/h TO GO SIDE TO SIDE OF IT, the variety of vehicles (for me i just play with the bikes so it doesnt really matters) the details in everything besides having a map not dense as FH but still being pretty dense to an map that haves 200km of lenght, the planes too, the fact that they still giving new things to it even after 5 years from its launch, and the game still giving us a feeeling that everything still "new" and it feels like there´s a lot to explore(even not really having). both are good,
I have had the crew 2 since launch but the biggest gripe I have is the driving physics. I love Forza because it has the best physics in an open world game.
The reason pedestrians aren't in FH5 is because due to ESRB (Pegi in Europe), the game rating is affected, making the game rated Teen. Forza wants to keep their game Everyone 10+, and if you have the ability to "run over pedestrians" even though they jump out of the way, they still rank the game higher on their list.

The variation in TC2 is better in some ways, graphics could be better but hey its pretty good for an old game right? I have both TC2 and FH4 & 5 downloaded, but I always find myself playing TC2 more due to its bigger map that allows me to explore more than what FH can offer. FH5 has a better physics and graphics, but TC2 is better in terms of customization, map size, sense of speed, and a lot more. No bs, FH5 is still good
The reason why I prefer FH5 over the Crew is because You have to grind your ass off harder for the new cars in the game or pay money for it in Crew 2. But in FH5 you get it for free besides DLC and grind a lot less.

I hated driving Prius and hybrids in gt sport. I just wanted to get to my vehicles and my dream vehicles / track cars and start driving them . Forza is like that imaginary world where whatever you want to drive is available so why not drive it.
As a virtual photographer i can say Forza's photomode is better just because it has 180°> roll. It's a fundamental feature for the photography community since we shoot most our shots vertical. I do really like the idea of the environment settings the Crew 2 has. But as someone who has been actively using photomode in both games i can say that Forza's is still better.
I would also say part of the fun is waiting for the time of day / weather u want. Makes it more realistic and bring able to manipulate those makes it too easy I think
i think the crew 2 are simply more fun because it takes grind, to unlock an buggati its a couple hours of races, and in forza you get it in the first 20 min of the game
For a game with a large map the size of the Crew 2 (at least on pc), is pretty small for only 50-60GB. Where I thought it would be like 90-100GB sheer size of the map and list of vehicles. But oh boy, I was wrong of how this game is well compressed
They definitely do a stellar job at that. FH5 is creeping up to 140 GB with the DLCs, and they, combined, feel so much smaller than TC2's single, monstrous map!
8:50 TC2 isn't "recycling anything" because they never had it in a previous release. FH5 is recycling because they had so many already and they and/or manufacturers think there are few other cars out there worthy of adding, and/or car manufacturers don't want to license any of their other cars, which from their perspective I totally get, though I disagree.
That’s been my wish too. Like when they did the Lego expansion my favorite part was that you could drive into a giant racetrack and either do the oval or the infield courses. Love that they’re putting a track into the stadium though for the next update

The problem with The Crew 2 is that the races are too difficult, because the cars are slidy in the corners and they simply go off the road, and you could simply solve this with rewind, but you can't rewind! Plus, the cars are too expensive and the races aren't too much profitable.
the biggest problem i have with Crew 2 is the PS2 era traffic... like bro you see im completely sideways coming into that turn F'n MOVE! Then when you hit them they turn into Pinball bumpers... they dont move but send you flying instead lol...
looking at this, what i want to see most in the next horizon game, is to be able to walk around at the very least the garage of your house and select your favorite cars to put in there. it would be so dope to buy a castle with a monster garage and just be able to pick your 50 or so most favorite cars and walk around them like your own personal playground (cmon playground games do this) and if you wanna drive one that you can just do so from in there. The house you start with would have 1-2 parking spaces and every more expensive house comes with a bigger garage=more slots to put your favorite cars in. (honestly im annoyed by how useless houses are in FH. theyre even a weird obstacle to fast travel. if you start the game and select where you want to go, you need to first exit the house menu, then open te map again before you can warp there. and theres fewer things in the menu in your house in the first place, but some things can only be done at your house. That last part isnt a proble, but i dont think the basic menu should be so restricted at home then. And even more importantly: if you actually could walk around and appreciate your parked cars, hop in, then drive out, that would be A LOT cooler than how every play session currently starts and actual incentive to not warp around the map right away. at least for a while.... i find that when i have less time and just want the playlist done, i want to warp everywhere to save time. but thats because real life is sadly a thing xD ) EDIT: I dont mind the recycled cars, because its nice to have all previous cars in the current game. BUT I would also prefer it if those were just in the game at launch and everything after that is new. but due to the huge roster, i kind of understand why thats not a thing. That said, they should pump out the recycled cars a lot faster.... Ive been wanting the Lykan Hypersport since the start of the game.... still waiting....
I have over 40 hours in The Crew 2 but refunded FH5 after 2 hours. Not sure why but FH5 just did not click with me. The Crew 2 remains one of my favourite driving games. My biggest complaint is that the max fps is 60. Wish they at least had support for 120 fps.
What it doesn't do better: some cars you have to literally earn, as opposed to fh5 any car is virtually accessible as long as you acquire the credits and wait on the auction for other players to list your favorite cars for sale. You essentially have a chance to buy the cars the game would still allow you a chance to earn. as opposed to crew 2 which doesn't have that option. What it does do better: feature just about any class or type of vehicle other than street cars. Such as bikes, boats, planes, helicopter(s), formula 1 cars and even a hovercraft (kind of a pain in the ass to control, though). Also the engine sounds on some of the cars are more accurate, as opposed to some of the same cars/engine types featured in horizon.
the only problem i have with this game is the parts inventory and car inventory management system, it’s terrible sorting through anything, late game you get so much so easily and it’s annoying to spend 30 minutes scrapping parts

I love the crew 2 but these reasons given either aren't made specific to the crew 2 (it can be said about other games) and the things they actually do better aren't mentioned.
The crew is okay but I don't get how people can enjoy the game with it's driving physics. The driving is the main thing of the game and it feels like shit, just for that reason forza is way better. Forza does not have the biggest map, the most cars or good customization but the cars feel great. And that's the most important thing for such a game.
Now, I would of had a proper console to play this, I would be very happy and spending a long time with it. This is what Horizon needs. A game to make you feel you are in it, to experience the world there. New content added and more challenges. I really hope this will be a great game to have a discount somewhere in the future because I really want to play more games. I do have some classic PS2 games but my PS2 needs a lot of maintenance.
Fun fact: some of the drivable cars in the Watch Dogs series are used as traffic cars in The Crew 2.

Yeah they add new cars but unlocking them is tedious. And you can alternatively buy them. So they basically promote microtransactions

I have over 40 hours in The Crew 2 but refunded FH5 after 2 hours. Not sure why but FH5 just did not click with me. The Crew 2 remains one of my favourite driving games. My biggest complaint is that the max fps is 60. Wish they at least had support for 120 fps.
i think the devs of forza watched this because now you can change the time of day and the weather in photomode
Installed FH5 before TC2. But now im focus on TC2 because its more Fun.

What it doesn't do better: some cars you have to literally earn, as opposed to fh5 any car is virtually accessible as long as you acquire the credits and wait on the auction for other players to list your favorite cars for sale. You essentially have a chance to buy the cars the game would still allow you a chance to earn. as opposed to crew 2 which doesn't have that option.
What it does do better: feature just about any class or type of vehicle other than street cars. Such as bikes, boats, planes, helicopter(s), formula 1 cars and even a hovercraft (kind of a pain in the ass to control, though). Also the engine sounds on some of the cars are more accurate, as opposed to some of the same cars/engine types featured in horizon.
The plane in this game is I think same one as one of the planes in Far Cry 5. Great video thanks!
imo the only one vital thing TC2 is missing, is simply Night Time
the night time lasts literally just a few minutes and its so frustrating.
the only problem i have with this game is the parts inventory and car inventory management system, it’s terrible sorting through anything, late game you get so much so easily and it’s annoying to spend 30 minutes scrapping parts

There is a new "the crew" game coming 2023 so lets hope that they keep all the good and have better graffics and better physics

Adding features from other car games is the best thing imaginable however nowadays you’ll have people saying that this game copied that game.

Same ! Walking around the dealership was such a flex! Same with the house and garages. Or putting on your blinker/ repeater when just cruising ,I really wonder why forza and the crew dont have that kind of detail.

Yeah they do horizon is winning on the car side the crew cars don't come close the only thing the crew is probably winning on is the map it's more fun and bigger

I love the crew 2 but these reasons given either aren't made specific to the crew 2 (it can be said about other games) and the things they actually do better aren't mentioned.

The crew is okay but I don't get how people can enjoy the game with it's driving physics. The driving is the main thing of the game and it feels like shit, just for that reason forza is way better. Forza does not have the biggest map, the most cars or good customization but the cars feel great. And that's the most important thing for such a game.

Now, I would of had a proper console to play this, I would be very happy and spending a long time with it. This is what Horizon needs. A game to make you feel you are in it, to experience the world there. New content added and more challenges. I really hope this will be a great game to have a discount somewhere in the future because I really want to play more games. I do have some classic PS2 games but my PS2 needs a lot of maintenance.
