Imagine combination of games like Forza Horizon 5 (with huge car list), Assetto Corsa, BeamNG and car mechanic simulator in one big game. I know it seems impossible now. In the past we didn't think games would look that awesome as they look today. Technology will get there. I just hope i'm gonna be alive to witness that. I imagine that game to have it's own economy system (like EVE online). Slowed down progression. That way you can bond with one car instead of owning 50+ cars like in forza (no satisfaction, bored easily). You can have multiple cars but in the game is some king of grinding system and it would be very hard to own multiple cars. Maybe later in game progression. Car mechanic shops own by players. Players can own part shops (engine parts, body kits, wheels, steering wheels etc...) You can also buy parts online and work on your own car in your garage. Maybe put purchasing mechanical tools for repairing or building cars. Customization has to be unprecedented (every detail possible). Music customization. (Like NFS Underground) RPG elements (like no pixel server in GTA 5). City doesn't have to be huge, rather packed with a lot of content. Car meets where you can get out of the car and examine other people's car engines, body work and interiors. Not the mention a good story. I don't understand why racing games should not have great stories, i don't know, like GTA 5 or RDR2 just because it's a racing game. Put some „surviving“ elements like gas and car maintenance (oil change, car wash etc...) Implement some kind of gambling system. Let's say you wanna race with another person. Both of you can place a bet (amount). So you can race for money or car (pink slips). Implement social network system (like GTA 5 RP) for posting pictures of progress of your car when you working in your garage or for car meets. Build your network of people. Car clubs - You decide what are the terms for getting in your car club. There would be some kind of club wars to see witch club is the best in the city. That way you can build reputation (live online with other players). Put way more barn finds and junk jards where you can find some rare gems. Car detailing. Show contest, as well music, style and tuning contest. Each server can represent one continent with up to 150 players or more (3 servers - USA, Europe, Asia) In, for example, USA server you can se more muscle cars. In Europe more BMW's, Audi, Volvo etc. You can travel between servers and we need somehow blend that transition with some kind of animation. For example, if the server is full, AI worker won't let you pass the border. On the start of the game where player can't afford they own house yet, we provide public garages. Avatars must be fully customizable (clothes, accessories etc...) Houses can be customizable (like Hogwards Legacy) If players don't have enough money to race among each other, put some all time available races so players can grind money. Players can own car wash house. Players can own towing car companies. Players can own delivery businesses (for car parts, tires, wheels etc...) Players can own taxi business. Players can own paint shops (store and workshop) All businesses can have social media page or internet page. Open communication all the time. Besides car meet places, put some restaurants where players can gather, eat and socialize (players can own those restaurants). Restaurants can be customizable to in some racing fashion.
For me TDU2 seems like more of a car person game but FH5 is a bit more cash grabby. I mean in TDU2 all convertible cars actually converted, whereas in FH5 they made a big thing out like 5 cars doing it and that was it l, it's such a half arsed feature. While I haven't played TDU2 in a long time, back when I did the modding community was thriving, constantly bringing out new cars and sound files; it has so much more replayability
I loved this game, even more when they brought out the casino update with a save point outside so you could never loose. I played the death out of the roulette tables using the martingale betting system (Just reloaded my save if I had bad luck) got to a point when I had everything in the game, Map was massive, and going over to Ibiza was a big map too. Cars didn't have the best handling but it was good enough for an open world arcade game.
Never played TDU2, but I was a massive fan of the original. It was groundbreaking, very much ahead of its time, and while everyone thinks Forza Horizon created the CaRPG, it was actually TDU. They had actually called it that right on the box. It also had live online player traffic way before Forza Horizon did, making the world feel more alive.
The ai cars are a lot better in tdu2 aswell, i noticed it when i was playing it yesterday, the cars swerve out the way so they don't get hit, no other game does that
TDU 1 and 2 were my absolute dream games, especially the first. The devs don’t know how happy I was as a kid being able to drive a Gallardo on Hawaii, enhancing the games with my own imagination
Shame you didn't show more tdu 2 gameplay rather then boring Forza clips. I have love Forza since day one but with 5 they really let things slide. I truly believe the next open world racing game to come out will bury fh5. Fh5 Devs just don't seem to care about the game, an especially the car part of their car game. It's such a shame.
I just wish FH5 had more passion and soul put into it. I was hype when it was announced, but when I beat it, I was left wanting more, yet the devs refused to deliver. Sure the Hot Wheels Dlc was nice and had some progression, but after you beat it, you're left high and dry. No wonder most of the old team left.
Childhood. Played it all day and still play it from time to time. A song that was in the radio became my favourite and I‘m going to a concert of that band in June. I absolutely love that game and it will be always my favourite.
Stopped the video at 15 seconds. Driving games, are FIRSTLY about driving, and then about everything else. Forza games, aboslutely nail driving (at least on gamepads where they were meant to be played) Test Drive Unlimited in that aspect was a piece of sh1t. End of story. The rest of the video is irrelevant.
This brings back so many memories, even though I stopped playing TDU2 a year ago because I lost the disc for my PS3. Now I just stick to Forza horizon 2,3,4, and 5, and of course The Crew 2 Edit: I found the TDU2 disc!
Why if you love so much TDU you never show in game action from TDU? I would loved to see a comparision of that also, in your video you only show Horizon gameplay footage
Yeah ever since the original company is no more, people are playing this game by downloading a "backup copy" of the game in the internet archive and then playing it on a private server.
Bro, Test Drive Unlimited brought a lot of good features that will make me play it even more. I am happy to see the cops going aggressively stopping the players. I know A9 has cops that will go aggressive towards the player but the base AI cars are a bit broken, but I don’t mind.
In FH5, it's stupid when in interior view, and you look behind, it doesn't show the back seats, etc. You just get the road view behind the car. Its not like this in TDU.
I’ve actually never finished this game 😂 I think I beat the first championship where the pay out was like a million dollars and then started flipping cars and houses
i remember on first TDU my car became really hard to drive it was drifting always and took me year to find out it had driving modes which turned off traction control 🤣

Hey, thanks for the cool video! Nice to see TDU2! I think I will try it some time in the near future thanks to your vid! Back in the day in 2006 I played TDU when it was released and it was so good! It is interesting how many good features yet there were in the first game. Especially the transport challenges stuck in my head where you have no time limit, just carefully getting the car from A to B without taking damage. Pure driving! I still remember when I bought the Add-On (yeah, a time when there were no DLCs but Add-Ons) just to have the opportunity to get the Ferrari Testarossa and the F40. I say opportunity, because like in TDU2 you had to earn the cars and that felt really special. To "earn" the F40 in Forza Horizon 4 didnt' felt that intense in comparison. (cool though to paint it in prideflag-colours) Just like many comments said: TDU/TDU2 were games about the excitement of driving and collecting cars in really interesting and cool ways! FH is not bad nonetheless, but it doesn't care that much about the sensation of getting in these awesome supercars. Just wrecking things and getting points for everything, even losing... I mean in TDU you can literally do a test drive with the car before you buy it! I hope Solar Crown lives up to the standards that these games set over decade before! But my beloved KT-Racing and Nacon that gave me Isle of Man TT and WRC behind TDUSC? Seems in good hands!
When was the last time you played TDU2? I think that your opinion is based on old memories. I have over 200 reasons why TDU2 was a rubish compared to TDU1... 1. Much smaller map compared to TDU1. That is propably why they decided to include TDU1 map 2. Rubish physics model 3. Worse car sounds 4. Gameplay focused on decorating your house instead of driving cars 5. And finally - around 200 less cars... Count each one as one more reason why it is worse... Don't get me wrong. For me TDU1 is a game that I will forever remember as something that actually FH series is based on. The problem is that TDU2 was a wasted oportunity... Comparing FH and TDU successor - TDU was much, much, much more ambitious than FH. The amount of changes is huge, but maybe this is also the reason why TDU2 failed? With FH series you wait for successor, when it is release you buy it and you simply know what to expect. TDU2 was a completely different game and for me and many other people a dissapointment and failure and this is why there was no succesor for so long. It looked like TDU2 was released in rush and mostly made out of new content. Old licenses for cars were not renewed and the game was released. Maybe they planned to release them as in game addons available to buy for real money - something like we have today with car-packs? I don't know. Now we have some rumors about TDUSC, and I realy hope for some fresh vision, because virtual racers need this. For example - NFS series died long time ago... However, considering how much those games cost today... I mean. Only MMOs are more expensive when you add toogether all paid addons to get yourself all the cars in todays games...
7:54 I have over $100,000,000 in Forza Horizon 5. Not by doing races. Not by wheelspins. I buy and sell on the Auction house. Buy one car, sell it when the prices rise. Kinda like crypto. Like Right now, I'm holding the Nio EP9, I'm going to wait to sell it. Unless there's another Nio EP9 in this coming playlist.
giving powerful cars isn't bad, if you think otherwise i guess your favorite game is the crap 2. Never was interested in character in tdu cuz it's boring and clothes are mostly just reskin of other clothing. Character in tdu looks like they are being held in this game forcefully. Also only 90~ cars? (stop thinking about tdu platinum, their sounds are trash and also their mod is posted on a site where you have to register to download it 🤡) I wonder how much other games had.... Big shit island in tdu with awful roads, simcade handling with roads from classic nfs? WTF???? I don't understand why you think that forza doesn't have exclusive cars (pinkslips, you literally have gameplay of fh5 here bruh), it was in fh3 and then you would get cars from weekly shops in fh4/5 Those cars would cost a lot of money if you ever wanted to buy them from the auction. Oh, and the worst is the fucking cop chases in tdu, they don't get off of your ass even if you will drive offroad thousands of kilometers away from the previous spot where they saw you. I was always thinking that this game was good based on others opinion, but i had to play it for a bit to understand how trash it is. Another game that is a Nostalgy blind shit.
id rather play a game with graphics like TDU2 in 2023 because that just means i can play it without issues, my friends can play it without issues AND it wont take up hundreds of gigabyte in storage. sure graphics can change a lot and if TDU2 looked like Forza it would be insane but its not worth it if the performance cost is big and it needs 200gb of storage or how newer games no longer support HDD drives meaning everyone without and SSD or M.2 is thrown in the bin
I have around a 150h in Forza Horizon 5 and about 450 cars. I did not know that clubs existed and i have no clue what they are for.... I hate that i have so many cars, i drive about 5 off them "regulary" mostly one or two. I think I bought 3 or 4 off the over 400 cars that i own. They just keep getting gifted to me through wheelspins and i never drive them.
I do hope we have a proper working PS3 emulator for Android and iOS so that we can play TDU2 everywhere. Also KT must remaster TDU2 as a preview to TDUSC. 😅
We definitely need a more realistic game. Forza is almost there but they tease with certain things. Like you have a house but you can’t go in or have a garage. You can put the top down now but you don’t see it go down. And everting in forza is basically rally now.
I think you can't look at yourself changing gears in Forza because you'd be able to tell it's not animated properly. Your character just gently caresses the shifter knob. It's always at the same spot.
TDU2 features were at least 10 years ahead of their time. There wasn't and there won't be any time soon a similar game to reach that level. I doubt that even TDU Solar Crown will be the same. It's not the same team developing it.
and yet still not better than TDU1. TDU1 was less arcadey, had zero offroad garbage to drive and waste dev time and resources on. had a far better island to drive on.

Music customization. (Like NFS Underground)
RPG elements (like no pixel server in GTA 5).
Put some „surviving“ elements like gas and car maintenance (oil change, car wash etc...)
Implement some kind of gambling system.
Each server can represent one continent with up to 150 players or more (3 servers - USA, Europe, Asia)
In, for example, USA server you can se more muscle cars. In Europe more BMW's, Audi, Volvo etc.
You can travel between servers and we need somehow blend that transition with some kind of animation. For example, if the server is full, AI worker won't let you pass the border.
On the start of the game where player can't afford they own house yet, we provide public garages.
Avatars must be fully customizable (clothes, accessories etc...)
Houses can be customizable (like Hogwards Legacy)
If players don't have enough money to race among each other, put some all time available races so players can grind money.
Players can own car wash house.
Players can own towing car companies.
Players can own delivery businesses (for car parts, tires, wheels etc...)
Players can own taxi business.
Players can own paint shops (store and workshop)
All businesses can have social media page or internet page.
Tdu 2 is basically gta without guns
The ai cars are a lot better in tdu2 aswell, i noticed it when i was playing it yesterday, the cars swerve out the way so they don't get hit, no other game does that
I agree that TDU2 is much more interesting, but you gave bad arguments, plus you did not properly show the graphics and gameplay of TDU2
I feel like you should show more TDU2 footage
I was 9 when the game came out and have barely played it. But I watched my dad play it and I loved it
Can't wait to see TDU Solar Crown.
These are all the reasons, why i love the decade old TDU2 a lot more than FH5 to this day
TDU 1 and 2 were my absolute dream games, especially the first.
No wonder most of the old team left.
my personal favourite car game ever is fh3 or fh2 fh3 more just cause i love australia and i had amazing memories in fh3
test drive makes you feel rich while forza reminds you you are playing a video game.
Childhood. Played it all day and still play it from time to time. A song that was in the radio became my favourite and I‘m going to a concert of that band in June. I absolutely love that game and it will be always my favourite.
soo hang on , where's your gameplay of TDU 2 if its so amazing then ? 🙈
Stopped the video at 15 seconds.
Driving games, are FIRSTLY about driving, and then about everything else.
Forza games, aboslutely nail driving (at least on gamepads where they were meant to be played)
Test Drive Unlimited in that aspect was a piece of sh1t.
End of story. The rest of the video is irrelevant.
TDU 2 is the best racing game ever made along with Gran Turismo 5/6
This brings back so many memories, even though I stopped playing TDU2 a year ago because I lost the disc for my PS3. Now I just stick to Forza horizon 2,3,4, and 5, and of course The Crew 2
Edit: I found the TDU2 disc!
Ah yes, the Crew 2 with its shockingly bad physics engine
@@DrBarbequeSauce I know, I was just being sarcastic
I loved this game. The physics were not great but just about everything else was. Excited for SC.
Why if you love so much TDU you never show in game action from TDU? I would loved to see a comparision of that also, in your video you only show Horizon gameplay footage
Tdu2 was the greatest car game by a mile. And I absolutely loves the Hawaii map and houses
its such a fun game but unfortunately i cant get it anywhere :(
Yeah ever since the original company is no more, people are playing this game by downloading a "backup copy" of the game in the internet archive and then playing it on a private server.
Bro, Test Drive Unlimited brought a lot of good features that will make me play it even more. I am happy to see the cops going aggressively stopping the players. I know A9 has cops that will go aggressive towards the player but the base AI cars are a bit broken, but I don’t mind.
TDU 3 will be the end of FH5.Idont think i will ever play FH 5 when i get TDU.
Im the only one doing this?
Nah bro same. Im currently playing fh4 and just realized how GOOD FH4 actually is, FH5 is trash
In FH5, it's stupid when in interior view, and you look behind, it doesn't show the back seats, etc. You just get the road view behind the car. Its not like this in TDU.
Great video and TDU is definitely the greatest racing game of all time. Btw you love AlexVII I see lol
Took me a month to understand what were you saying
TDU1 and TDU2 were my childhood. i wish i had my xbox360 and tdu2 i miss that game so much
No perfect game but one of the best of the last years!
I like it when you have to grind for cars in games, The Crew 2 for example makes you grind a bit for a good car, in forza they just throw cars at you
I’ve actually never finished this game 😂 I think I beat the first championship where the pay out was like a million dollars and then started flipping cars and houses
i remember on first TDU my car became really hard to drive it was drifting always and took me year to find out it had driving modes which turned off traction control 🤣
Yuwan and what is most boring about your videos are the repetitive videos of forza horizon footages, please if you're comparing so use the reference videos of cars everything about the product you are mentioning in your videos.
No one asked u. Yuwan is the goat
@@ryzelul9649 yeah no he was. Now he keeps recycling the same shit same subjects same clips get boring overtime. I dropped his videos for a while then cameback and he stayed the same
@@brikbrak9386 yeah u are mostly right. I feel like he doesn’t even like Forza. I’m ok to see him take a lil break and go to nfs or gt7. But I am new to his channel and I’m already getting a lil bored so yeah. Yuwan has sooooo much potential to have a mil subs it’s just that I think ppl can sense that he doesnt actually enjoy the game as much as someone like ar12.
@@ryzelul9649 likewise
Can't wait for the new expansion for turbo lag
It's sad we need an expansion for a feature that should've been in the game already
Every thing is better apart from graphics
I can’t wait for TDU SC, I’ll play for straight 24 hours on release
now u know how bad fh5 really is
I believe TDU Solar Crown will embarrass Forza Horizon 5 when it comes out, with a much smaller car list because quality over quantity
I just hope they market properly and lots of RUclipsrs play it. It won't sell if it's not promoted properly. Only existing TDU fans will buy it.
But I think it might be too hard (grindy) for some Forza players, because you don't get cars and credits thrown at you all the time....
You can flip cars in forza too!?
(cool though to paint it in prideflag-colours)
Just like many comments said: TDU/TDU2 were games about the excitement of driving and collecting cars in really interesting and cool ways!
Seems in good hands!
it’s sad that you can’t play tdu2 anymore it was such an amazing game.
I play it all the time lol
Gotta love how he's driving the same Mustang that he drove in his last why TDU2 is better than Forza video
When was the last time you played TDU2? I think that your opinion is based on old memories.
I have over 200 reasons why TDU2 was a rubish compared to TDU1...
1. Much smaller map compared to TDU1. That is propably why they decided to include TDU1 map
2. Rubish physics model
3. Worse car sounds
4. Gameplay focused on decorating your house instead of driving cars
If it doesn’t say
Number ways game is better then FORZA horizon 5
It not a Yuwan Thayakaran video
That's Exactly why TDU has always be my favourite 👌
and yet still not better than TDU1. TDU1 was less arcadey, had zero offroad garbage to drive and waste dev time and resources on. had a far better island to drive on.
