Are you talking about something like a redfish magic/ spinnerbait type rig? Haven't used them much. I've had luck with the chatterbaits here and there but haven't messed with any other real blade baits.
Hey Tyler my name is Glenn haven't fish the GA coast but a few times my question is I have 12ft V hull aluminum boat with a surface drive mud motor could you suggest a place that me and my girlfriend could go without getting ran over by bigger boats we like catching Reds,Trout and flounder in some channels we normally go down to chiefland Fla.but the tide will catch you of guard and you will be stuck in oyster beds.if you could suggest anything I would really appreciate it. Oh I forgot to say I live in Georgia. THANK YOU!
Man bigger boats are a problem. Just the other day a 30' cruiser passed me closer than he was long throwing a huge wake. Its just something you have to deal with more and more. I personally don't really fish flats or creeks that I could ebb out and get stuck in. Generally I like to keep about 6' of water nearby. I feel like that is a safety factor for the fish as well. Every now and then I will slide up a creek on high tides and find the reds in the back of the creek. I catch most of my trout on high tide. As far as spots there are many and the fish move. If you are fishing live bait id say find a point or creek mouth on a falling tide with oysters or bait around it and have some fun.
Depending on where you are located St. Simons has a few bridges near creeks or Goulds inlet, jekyll has a number of locations there is a creek on the north end of the island and the south end of the island you can walk to. Both islands have a pier if you prefer that. There are a few places around downtown Brunswick. Right now the fish should be starting to bunch up so if you catch one there should be multiples. Obviously it'll be a little tougher from land but there are a few places. Good luck!
Man this is tons of great info, but unfortunately with my hearing I can’t hear it for the repetitive music in the background! It would be cool if you could remove it so we hear the info, not the noise! I enjoyed the way you edited to show pics of fish you actually caught using these baits, along with tips on how to present them! I’ll keep checking back to see if you have a non-music version so I can watch this several times to get all the goodie out of your info👍 Please post more vids as well!
Thanks for the feedback! Currently I am swamped at work but I will try to get a music free version out for you as well as others. As far as more videos, I'll keep them coming as often as I can! Thanks for watching!
@@tylerbean21 thanks. Can you do a vid on the rods/reels you use when you get time? I notice you like to throw big top water baits, and not sure rod size for a big baits like that👍
In winter I like to fish deeper water for trout with a hard jerkbait like the mirrolure mirrolip or the Rapala ripstop. They tend to move further inland also. Reds tend to be more on the mud flats. Topwater still works just a little more finicky based on temps. Most all fish tend to bunch up more this time of year so if you catch any make a few more casts. I'll try to get a video up of some winter stuff! Good luck!
@@tylerbean21 I’m literally from the other side of the planet but my gf is from the US and so we visit all the time. This year we’re gonna go to GA and Im dying to do some fishing just not a clue where to start. Obviously no boat either 🤣
@@cammi9948 That's awesome! Live bait under a cork or on a carolina rig would be the easiest with a better chance of success. Message me @tylerbean21 on Instagram and I can try to give you a little more info for your trip and possibly some spots that may help
Thank you for this video! I’m embarking on a mission to catch some fresh fish my next visit to St Simons.
Check the smaller creek mouths this time of year those flounder should be chasing bait in those little ditches!
Thanks for the info.a lot I didn’t know about . Keep it coming thanks
Nice...looking forward to more fishing videos
Thank you Mr. Chris!
What editing software are you using? You killed it with this one. Good stuff man can't believe you don't have more subscribers. You are a natural.
Thanks man! I'm using Final Cut Pro on my iMac. Its pretty good software and hard to beat Macs when it comes to video editing.
Have you ever used blade baits?, it's an older school lure, but I have lots of luck myself...

What areas do you recommend fishing from if I don’t have a boat but wanna try these lures? I’m from coastal GA as well
