I have to say, Jingles, I have never been a serviceman and am not familiar with the history of this warship. However, I love my country, and I think your choice to play "Yellow Rose of Texas" in honor of this vessel is a wonderful and spirited tribute. Thank you from the U.S.A.!

Though I must admit, with the hopeless deadlock and seemingly endless corruption in our state government, it does not seem that such preservation will be happening anytime soon.
+sirrliv A shame it's not being maintained properly, but to have gone through so much and only be damaged that much it's a testament to how well it was built. As for getting it conserved, come re-elections just appeal to their "Patriotism" (Lust for public image).
+sirrliv Yeah, she really isn't looking well and the repair bill is piling, and while I've only seen her once as a kid I would definitely not mind going again and seeing her in better shape . In two wars, the Texas only had one combat related fatality in all the action she saw. That was at the Normandy Invasion when a German projectile penetrated the plotting room and killed a sailor. She is quite impressive to be aboard.. You can tour her in the San Jacinto Battleground Park, near Houston, Texas. She is a New York Class Dreadnaught and at the time of her commissioning, was the most powerful battleship in the world.
Volunteered aboard her as a museum ship before this past semester took me to Norway. So proud to see her in the game and featured by Jingles! She's got an amazing history.
Recently found some old pics (us sitting at the deck guns and such) from when we were visiting Houston and were aboard the Texas almost 20 years ago... Very impressive! If I'm not mistaken she was hit and penetrated by a shell that luckily didn't explode...
old video by this date, but still notable. I only got the Texas a few months ago, and man is she a beast and a lady. AA is impressive, and easily 1v3 BBs even with CVs giving you hell. I wish I had my replay of going 1v5, and merc'd a DD, took out 2 of the 3 BBs, but lost on points as last ship alive, with over 100k dmg. If you don't have her by now.... Do EEET
picked up the texas over 4th of july and i must say... aircraft carriers make me rage even more than artillery in wot, and watching my bofors tearing apart enemy airgroups is absolutely one of the most satisfying things i think ive ever experienced in a videogame
+Hayden Bliesner Iowa has quad bofors on the last hull, it also has more 20mms and the 127mms with more range. At t5 though i admit its an impressive AA arnament
christopher halderman That's what I mean! Not only did the gut the ships AA, it doesn't have its historical 33 knot speed. Not only that, secondaries and AA have such a poor ranged that they are nearly worthless. when you look at ships like the atlanta or US destroyers, which have a range of up to 12km. and then look at the same guns on the battleships, there is at least a 7km range decrease. as for AA. I am pretty sure AA was suppose to kill planes before they reached the target, not after it had already dropped the payload at such close range that you can't avoid it.
+Hayden Bliesner It doesn't go to 33 knots IRL, only 29-30 knots. 33 knots is when boiler is set to maximum. So WG does make some research. Here read some of the documents in the forum. forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/30515-iowas-in-game-speed-is-unfortunately-historical/
Well technically saying, Texas has been in both world wars, and has been given five stars for five of the major battles that took place in world war 2. And it was first US ship to have antiaircraft, the first ship to launch a plane, the first US ship to have rader, and it was the flagship of the entire US fleet. So yeah its not just quad bofors.
Outstanding review and excellent game play demonstration. You explained exactly what a new player needs to do to use this ship. Good on you Jingles and thank you very much.
It's the ONLY Dreadnought left in existence. There are a few other Dreadnought *era* warships floating around the world, such as the Georgios Averof of the Greek Navy, the last armored cruiser in the world, but Texas is the only Dreadnought battleship to have survived.
The opening of this video playing the Yellow Rose of Texas, with the guns firing in anger on the USS Texas in game, is truly a work of art. Thank you Mr Jingles.
+chris9000 No, the original Yorktown-class carrier that was the US carrier to survive the war despite being in nearly every major battle in the first few years. Well, the Saratoga also survived, but she was always laid up with engineering faults. The Big E basically carried the Pacific Fleet on her flattop 'til the new construction came down the pipe.
As someone who has visited Battleship Texas ever since i was little i am overjoyed to see the old girl get some recognition both in game and with Jingles~!!!
I''m originally from Houston, Texas. One of my favorite places to go as a kid was the Battleship Texas museum in La Porte, Texas. It's right across from the San Jacinto Monument. It is a walking tour of nearly the entire ship.
The first time I came up against the Ranger in my Texas, I shot down 20 of his planes while taking 0 hits from all the dozens of torpedoes he dropped against me. This thing's AA is amazing.
@20:30 Don't get cocky jingles. Even seconds before he dies, another bb can still wreck you if you give him the chance. A few days ago I was in my North Carolina, on like 10k hp 7km from an enemy montana, and he turned broadside on to me to get the kill. He did, 5 citadel penetrations later...
Very informative and helpful, thanks Jingles. I discovered the Texas' AA capability when playing carriers last night for the first time in months. Foolishly having my Bogue's 2 fighter squadrons take a short-cut back home over it, I lost the survivors of both squadrons before I realised it; 6 planes in total.
Good ole Texas! I visited the ship a couple years ago, only to see it listing 8 degrees to it's starboard, luckily repair crews and members from the US Navy shipyards managed to fix the problem.
I'm from Aussie when I was in America with my gf I visited this beast of a ship as well as some other ships but yeah america apart from all the violence going on over these it's a pretty nice place especially Texas,LA,Las Vegas pretty much all of America but one state I don't hate it it's just I didn't really like it it was Louisiana no offence coming from an Aussie who holiday over there it's pretty much the same as a little country down in Aussie but other than that America was a blast hopefully I will holiday over there some time in the future again Because all the shit people say about America is not true it's fucking an amazing place to holiday thx America for having me and my gf in ur beautiful country
+Jordan farrar Glad you enjoyed your holiday. I'm in Florida, I don't like Lousiana either, if you were in New Orleans you should have just went a couple extra hours east to Mobile, Alabama - that's where the USS Alabama is, great Battleship to see and tour.
My eyes welled with tears of pride and joy when I clicked on my favorite youtubers newest video and the first thing I hear is "The Yellow Rose of Texas". As a Texan through and through it makes me proud to see the USS Texas included in WoWs. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
i wish theyd put an actual objective in the capture circle. like a floating hulk or an oil rig. something to actually fight over. same with world of tanks.
+Viridis Lux ya know? That's actually not a bad idea, I could definitely see oil rigs in the ocean maps or in that one gamemode where you need points to win and sea forts on some of the more island riddled maps and maybe even have them shoot at the enemy with small guns that do very light damage if they try to cap, maybe even give them AA capabilities , but then again I'm not sure that they had offshore oil rigs back then and the sea fort idea may be too extreme even if you have the ability to knock out the guns
Gage Haynie that would make for an interesting game mode, escort a cargo or small convoy of them ship across the map, maybe make them slow mobile capture points in others
+Marxman1313 & all: I would think that convoys would be easy, just have the AI ships or player "convoy player" ships "goal" on one end of the map, and the other force starts somewhere either random or preset, just outside range. If the convoy players ships (or maybe just what's left of the "container ships") reach their goal, they win, if the enemy force destroys them, they lose. Of course one could modify this considerably.
I've been on it in real life, the museum, its sad how run down and rusty it is, the fact is that no one is funding it to get it fixed up and put up out of the water on concrete or something.. and it's just rotting and leaking it's really sad.
I would buy it for two reasons 1 I live in Texas 2 I been on it and all the crew is doing when there are off duty is bbq's listening to country music liked true Texans
I went aboard Texas at the San Jacinto park, prior to her later restoration, and naval cammo scheme (She was entirely gray when I went aboard her), It is a privilege to have this as a museum, and cannot wait to purchase her this Thursday night for WoW.
+XxRavenwing19xX He exaggerates greatly. While she is a shadow of her former glory she isn't stinking. I was onboard in September of last year and for a 100 year old ship found it to be fascinating. The ol'girl despite the money spent on her is still in desperate need of major repairs. All that money did was keep her from sinking anytime soon at her moorings. They need a lot more to help with long term repairs.
garygsp3 she's not stinking? I went there last year myself, and while the smell on deck was nothing you wouldn't expect from a ship her age, the deeper you explore the ol' girl's bowels, the worse the conditions are. Whether I exaggerate or not is a matter of opinion, but the repair crew told us not to linger too long in the depths of the ship, due to the poor state she is in, and I couldn't help but agree. Even though I thought the visit was definitely interesting, it is somewhat overhyped. Again, that last part is my opinion; you might enjoy it greatly :)
+Funny Farmer Wargaming modeled the ship and battle prowess to the game cause this ship still floats as a museum in San Jacinto Texas. The New York is the post WW1 and pre WW2. The USS Texas is the WW2 Version of this class of ship with Better anti aircraft ability, For when it was fighting in the Pacific theater for Iwo Jima and Okinawa
+Dylan Brown Houston*** Texas thank you very damn much. And no, this ship saw service in BOTH World Wars - provided some of the best fire support for D-day in its role as a shore bombardment battleship. It is the ONLY REMAINING Dreadnaught that still floats to this day - and its Texas...the Lone Star State!
+SoulKiller7Eternal my point being is that it is in fact, in San Jacinto, but hey? Make yourself feel better by thinking you won or some shit when you blatantly told me that i was in fact correct in the first place
+InfernalDalek Depends, it is only 1 ship, however if you really liked the NY then you can buy it and use it for the rest of the US BB line for captain training. Personally i'm not going to buy it when it comes on the EU server as i have a certain other t4 BB with the same role called the Arkensas Beta. (or i would just use the New Mexico to train a new commander)
I would strongly recommend people to not get the Texas unless you are a ship collector. This is due to the existence of one other bb at tier 5 not mentioned, Kongo. My reasons for saying this is with the exception of AA, which jingles pointed out isn't an issue in every game, Kongo is better in every way than Texas, including armor (I will get to that in a second). Kongo has far superior range, better accuracy, better secondaries, better speed and maneuverability, better turret traverse, better reload speed, and finally, better armor. You might be saying, wait a minute, Kongo's armor is thinner New York/Texas's armor, and you would be correct about that, with the exception of the bow/stern armor. We all know how showing broadside in bbs leads to a "paddlin". Now here is the true reason why Kongo is vastly superior to Texas, overmatch. When both ships go now in to each other, Texas with 19mm of bow armor, cannot pen Kongo's 25mm thick bow armor. But Kongo, due to the overmatch mechanic (gun calibre is 14.3 times greater than armor thickness in 19mm leads to automatic overmatch and penetration) Kongo can citadel Texas at effectively any angle, whilst Texas cannot do the same, leaving it completely useless against the Kongo. Kongo's AA is good enough to deal with t4 cvs, and she will not cost you the equivalent of 26 US dollars in your currency, 10 dollars more than the murmansk, the second most exspensive t5 premy.
+Storm Zerx What are you, a Kongo salesman? lol Seriously, I had a Kongo in CBT and loved it. In this case however, bein' an old Texas boy, I already got a Texas. I know it's not as good, but I'll still have fun with it.
+Storm Zerx Except you miss out one thing. One huge this. The MAIN reason for buying a premium ship. Captain training. Good luck trying to train a US captain in a Japanese BB :p
jakekillify but why go down the USN BB line right now? It is worthless compared to the IJN line. As for premiums, murmansk is cheaper and a far better ship because as it is infused with Stalinium.
+JZ Not really. The list of premium vehicles in WoT and WoWs that can conceivably be called pay to win is very short. Even in the form of the Texas, its the same ship as the non premium just with slightly different turret placement and buffed AA. Its even more vulnerable to torps and HE spam with its reduced rudder shift and top speed. Not understanding how its pay to win.
+JKSSubstandard It's a significantly better ship than the equivalent non-premium. At tier 5, your rudder shift just isn't that important; your range is. Then there's the predominance of premium ships in competitive battles. Then there's the Napalm-armed Atlanta.
+Islacrusez Funny thing that, the Atlanta does only have a 5% fire chance. Average battle I have I score 2-300 hits, and maybe 2 fires. You're at much greater risk of fires from a the non-premium American CAs.The Altanta basically still sucks, although margiinally less now.
+Islacrusez The fact it's better than the New York is kind of the point. I mean, it's a ship you pay real money for, so why shouldn't it be better in at least a couple regards?
Jerald Lutney At that rate of fire (3 shells per second or so?), sheer volume of fire (14 guns on broadside?), you should be doing an awful lot more than that. And you get torpedoes, and unlimited defensive fire, and some of the most broken AA firepower in the game.
YES!!!! Finally! The ONE ship I have been waiting all this time for and will actually spend my money on! Glad they made her a good representation of the actual ship. I have been binge watching the Naval Legends episode on the Texas ever since it came out and praying for a premium. She truly deserves it considering her long and storied career, along with her continuing mission as a museum. It should also be noted that only the Legends video on the Yamato has more views than the Texas, and only Yamato and Texas are above 100'000.
I can't wait to get this ship I love the Texas my grand dad was third in command, and I've been aboard twice. Wargaming did her justice. thanks for sharing
While I don't play WoWS much these days, I think I'll have to pick up this ship. I visited the Texas last summer and spent an afternoon crawling all over it. She did have some rough spots, particularly in the engine room, but apparently she looks much better than she did in the 60's.
Each time you see that opening between "The Yellow Rose of Texas" playing and the in-game sounds of broadsides a bald eagle sheds a proud, patriotic tear.
I bought it 2 days ago. Amazing ship, and the first real premium BB at tier 5. Had a game where a Langley sent 3 attacks, 2 of which against a Furutaka who was "escorting me" I provided more AA to protect him instead and shot down a total of 17 planes. Felt like CBT New York, and it felt good. The last attack was the torpedo bombers, only 2 managed to drop torps (no hits) and I killed them on the way back. Yup pretty good boat and a nice opponent for Kongo and the Fog sisters of T5.
I think I may still have a photo of me standing on one of the 76mm AA gun mounts taken when I was around 11 years old (~45 years ago). Also, I seem to recall reading one of the plaques onboard that mentioned she was hit by a kamikaze aircraft during her time in the Pacific campaign... An awesome representative of our great state of Texas! :)
it's interesting. after the last major upgrade to the uss Texas. she was reduced in maneuverability and speed. and it also affected her handling in rough seas

best story ever.... /)'
I pity the next person to buy binoculars from that shop and point it at the Texas.
I think when I was in San Jacinto at the age of 8 we (My brothers and I) ended up pointing them at various ships around the harbor. Super fun trip. ^^

Folker46 ! I think it's supposed to be sung to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas," The song at the start of the video.
Adam Mullarkey It is.

+sirrliv A shame it's not being maintained properly, but to have gone through so much and only be damaged that much it's a testament to how well it was built. As for getting it conserved, come re-elections just appeal to their "Patriotism" (Lust for public image).

+sirrliv Don't forget that during said hurricane, she was used as emergency shelter for the museum's staff and family.
+Marxman1313 it would cost a hell of a lot of money to do those 1 hour cruises for all the fuel. The government would not pay for it and the would be no profit for the museum to pay, sadly
I've now managed to track your uploading pattern. also while destroying my sleeping pattern
+PolyvinyLs Damn Brits and their living in Europe.
7AM British time is still strange tbh.
+Christian Krona he probably starts to upload as he goes to bed, by the time it uploads an RUclips have fucked about with it its 7am
+Simon Baker-Hewitt yep that's the way to do it I did that same idea last night with my video
+Simon Baker-Hewitt I live in the US which makes Jingles just five hours ahead of me. So I'm able to keep up with his video posts with losing any sleep over it.
I love hearing Jingles say; 'That's a paddling!' He says it so well!
+MegaRaven100 - YUP! What's also funny is that Aerroon now says it as well lol
+MegaRaven100 And he dishes it out pretty well too.
+trekie4747 Did Rita tell you?
Jerry Man I'm not allowed to say.
+trekie4747 But you dont deny it ... Ok ;)
Hey Jingles I work aboard the Texas. The captain at the time of d-day received a silver star for being flooding the torpedo blisters because of the tank Column the ship was able to wipe out and prevent a large German counter attack
Also the rate of fire on board the at D-Day was Texas was 1 shell every 27.5 seconds
+Timid_One Well of course! They were running Coca Cola Premium food consumable :D
+Slayer Jesse That would be Dr Pepper thank you.
I got to spend the night on board as part of the scouts. Jingles! There are many war stories you need to cover on this ship next time you feature her!
+Timid_One they need to raise funds to put her in a dry birth. shes the last dreadnought left in the world to my knowledge
I may not be from Texas, but that song though!!!!!
Was adopted FROM the Lonestar State.. so I guess this song applies to me afterall :D
I listen to this song when I play my American tanks in War Thunder.
+xxNoobTubezz (xxNoobTubezz) American planes in WarThunder for me
You mean the ringtone on my phone ?
Thank you Jingles for being such a great and entertaining youtuber
FYI, Jingles, the gun placement isnt different between the New York and Texas. Difference being that the New York has boats on her deck that restricts her 3rd turrets firing angles. (Pumps Shotgun) WE'VE GOT A SMARTASS!!!
zchen27 ...your point being? I don't see how that is relevant to my stated fact.
+Crookedstar Are you sure? Because it's not unusual for ships of the same series to have minor/individual differences like that.
Lavrentivs I checked, the structures are all the same. If you look at the new york, you can clearly see boats stacked in spots that are restricting gun turret 3's angles. This isn't unusual in the game, a few ships suffer from this problem.
At point du-hoc in Normandy you can see the craters left by the Texas against the german batteries stationed there.
I don't even play WoWs.
Let's watch this anyway.
Same here :D
+Harbinger Reaper I don't play World of Tanks anymore, still watch the Jingles Videos about it. He is just very entertaining.
+Harbinger Reaper I feel the same about WoT videos too, I just watch them because Jingles
+Harbinger Reaper Dammit! Its 2 Am In the morning and I dont even play this bloody game. Lets Watch it Tho
I really want to but it's not on console yet
Aggressive turret placement, Lots and lots of AA guns. this ship is keeping up with it's name.

Because the skill only works on AA guns of 85mm and upwards and the Texas AA guns only go up to 76mm at the most, so no gain there.
But BF and AF Training do help both with the +10% AA Rating and the +10% AA Reach. You can project a 5,5km bubble of no fly zone on this ship.
Which should prove hillarious to watch with the lower tier carrier drivers who have no clue about this at all ^^
Also, it's a battleship, so . . GIT IN MAH PORT!

Born and raised in the great state of Texas. The yellow rose of Texas at the beginning was perfection!
2:00 Ah I see they added jet engines to the USS Macon!
+Nixod of course
***** Yes, the other in the class was Akron, named after Akron, Ohio.
Volunteered aboard her as a museum ship before this past semester took me to Norway. So proud to see her in the game and featured by Jingles! She's got an amazing history.
That intro movie just had me on the edge of my seat for a row of torps to destroy her.
Texas no doubt makes Iowa jealous with those quad bofors, and its a tier five.
+Hayden Bliesner Iowa has quad bofors on the last hull, it also has more 20mms and the 127mms with more range. At t5 though i admit its an impressive AA arnament
+blaster1 112 yeah but what is annoying is that irl the Iowa class had 20 quad bofors guns, they butchered them in wows
christopher halderman
That's what I mean!
Isn't the USS Texas also the oldest Dreadnought still in existence?
It's the ONLY Dreadnought left in existence. There are a few other Dreadnought *era* warships floating around the world, such as the Georgios Averof of the Greek Navy, the last armored cruiser in the world, but Texas is the only Dreadnought battleship to have survived.
sirrliv yep, last remaining Dreadnought. Hopefully they get a dry berth for her in the near future so she wouldn’t get rusted over.
The opening of this video playing the Yellow Rose of Texas, with the guns firing in anger on the USS Texas in game, is truly a work of art. Thank you Mr Jingles.
Well. I picked up the Texas yesterday, and i love it. Now Wargaming when to we get to see the Enterprise?
+Pitch lock make that a tier 15 premium where the torpedoes and bombs are made of pure democracy and the only ship that can sink her is herself!
+Pitch lock Or the Battlecruiser Alaska
+Samuel Sedita I would get that one just to name her the CB-3 Hawaii.
+Pitch lock A nuclear powered aircraft carrier that could carry F-14s? Yeah......
The yellow rose of texas. In world of warships its called the YOLO rose of texas
I''m originally from Houston, Texas. One of my favorite places to go as a kid was the Battleship Texas museum in La Porte, Texas. It's right across from the San Jacinto Monument. It is a walking tour of nearly the entire ship.
This is all fine and dandy, but WHERE THE F IS THE ROYAL NAVY???
+K_A Sitting around in Scapa Flow waiting for the German battleships to arrive.
+K_A RN CL's come after German BB's in august. So not yet
questions is what line are we getting first?
cause zeh germans got the tirpitz prem and got their cruiser line instead
+K_A putting in-game ships in the game when they can just flood it with prem ships? this is WARGAMING!
The Texas is moored in Houston now. Visited a few times with my kid while living there, it's pretty awesome.
The first time I came up against the Ranger in my Texas, I shot down 20 of his planes while taking 0 hits from all the dozens of torpedoes he dropped against me. This thing's AA is amazing.
First ship with AA guns in the world
I love that wows renders the shells in flight now, also YEE HAW
All Texans must own the Texas. My record for aircraft downed is 23 in one match. I think this boat is a bargain at its current price.
Howdy from Texas, Jingles. You have no idea how happy this video makes me every time I watch the opening.
The last remaining Dreadnaught class battleship!
+M. Redleg There are a couple of pre-Dreadnought's still around
Only one: the Mikasa plus a couple of cruisers.
M. Redleg I thought there was a Greek pre-dreadnought, and some people thought it was a battlecruiser
+armorhide406 Hmmm I'll have to look into that!
+armorhide406 Averof is what you're thinking of, she's an armored cruiser not a battleship or battlecruiser
Outstanding musical selection, Jingles. Count it added to my WoWS playlist.
+elmateo77 Ouch instant ruinage
Very informative and helpful, thanks Jingles. I discovered the Texas' AA capability when playing carriers last night for the first time in months. Foolishly having my Bogue's 2 fighter squadrons take a short-cut back home over it, I lost the survivors of both squadrons before I realised it; 6 planes in total.
I think war gaming is just using jingles for free Content videos so they don't have to make their own
That's exactly what they are doing -_-
+BlarghMeow Well it's much more entertaining to watch Jingles anyway so, doesn't really matter xD
+BlarghMeow Of course. It's better for both of them business wise.
+Jordan farrar Welcome to Texas anytime!
thx i will
+Jordan farrar You should come see the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee the next time you come.
+Thomas Manning I will hopefully in July
+Jordan farrar Glad you enjoyed your holiday. I'm in Florida, I don't like Lousiana either, if you were in New Orleans you should have just went a couple extra hours east to Mobile, Alabama - that's where the USS Alabama is, great Battleship to see and tour.
Hears yellow rose of Texas and sees The Flagship of the Texas Navy
Tears up" I'm not crying, you are"
Hay Jingles - you said you'd keep an eye on Naval Action!
+Viridis Lux It would be really cool if they put cargo ships on some maps that them enemy team had to destroy instead of capping
Gage Haynie
that would make for an interesting game mode, escort a cargo or small convoy of them ship across the map, maybe make them slow mobile capture points in others
+Viridis Lux At least Armored Warfare dose =)
+Marxman1313 & all: I would think that convoys would be easy, just have the AI ships or player "convoy player" ships "goal" on one end of the map, and the other force starts somewhere either random or preset, just outside range. If the convoy players ships (or maybe just what's left of the "container ships") reach their goal, they win, if the enemy force destroys them, they lose. Of course one could modify this considerably.
Picked it up today and i love it! Brings back memories of when i spent the night on the real deal!
dammit jingles its 11:30 p.m in the U.S (in Oregon)
Same here in California.
+Ryan Holmes You think you've got it bad? It's 1:45 a.m. here in Texas & I was just settling in to bed.
2:00 am on east coast 😵😴
sirrliv XD shit man
haha yeeee
I live in Texas... And seen this monster in person.. She is a beauty... Just wish she was tier x lol
She would be too op
They release Texas, and hold back Campbeltown...
+DennisLego never even heard wargaming talk about the texas, so much on the campbeltown though, and we dont even have her yet!
Jaret Sherard probably why i never heard of it
Wonderful ship, seen it myself as it's an hour away from me, and always a cool thing to go with friends.
I've been on it in real life, the museum, its sad how run down and rusty it is, the fact is that no one is funding it to get it fixed up and put up out of the water on concrete or something.. and it's just rotting and leaking it's really sad.
ShufflebotUPonYOU When I went they were in the process of refurbishing it. So the Texas will still be sailin!
Her hours are restricted for now for repairs to go to dry dock for refurbishment
From one old sailor to another, great video on one of the US Navy's venerable BBs of all time! Oh yeah, nice shooting Tex! LOL
I want to make a suggestion to Wargaming. USS Alabama.
what about USS Missouri?
Ayentey Yeah, but I have a greater attachment to the USS Alabama.
+Deutschland die Schöne who knows. We might get both.
I'd like to see Alaska and replace the tech tree New York with the Pennsylvania-class.
And new Mexico with Tennessee for a less hopeless range.
+Deutschland die Schöne hmm how about they bother with the kriegsmarine and Royal Navy first...? ^^
The stars at night, are big and bright. Deep in the heart of Texas!! This ship does my state proud
Jingles, have you visited USS TEXAS?
+SmedleyDouwright It's a stinking rust-bucket nowadays. Sure, she looks impressive from afar, but she's only a shell for her former self.
+quinten vandereviere Really 1 year after a repair & renovation?
+XxRavenwing19xX
He exaggerates greatly.
+quinten vandereviere idk I work there and there is no warning about lingering at third deck....
As a Texan, thanks for the video and giving the history on her. She's an awesome ship.
A premium ship really shouldn't be better than it's standard counterpart. Is WoWS starting on P2W already?
+Funny Farmer it's AA is historically accurate and the gun was placed different. you cannot fault them for making a ship as close to real as possible.
+SoulKiller7Eternal I looked it up bud, its in San Jacinto. Please do your homework before trying to correct someone.
+SoulKiller7Eternal my point being is that it is in fact, in San Jacinto, but hey? Make yourself feel better by thinking you won or some shit when you blatantly told me that i was in fact correct in the first place
Beautiful music, just beautiful
$26 NA, worth? I've got a New Mexico currently.
+InfernalDalek Did you like the New York? IF yes, yes.
+InfernalDalek Having sailed this glorious beast, she is totally worth it.
Spend the extra $5 and get the fully loaded pack, I did and not regretting one minute of it!
+InfernalDalek Hmmm.... or you could practically buy The Division or Xcom2 on GT2A for $30 or so. Yeah... not worth it. :D
I started watching and two bald eagles landed on my shoulders and saluted for the duration of the Texas intro. 'Murica!
+Storm Zerx people themselves can decide too or not to purchase the texas or any other premium
Rylee, you know me. I already bought her. Texan blood in me and all that :P
Loved the intro, couldn't have been any better!
Pay to win ship, typical of wargamming
Jerald Lutney
At that rate of fire (3 shells per second or so?), sheer volume of fire (14 guns on broadside?), you should be doing an awful lot more than that. And you get torpedoes, and unlimited defensive fire, and some of the most broken AA firepower in the game.
The tour is simply amazing, it is truly beautiful in real life.
8:43
-great quotes of jingles
Also the thing is 5300 gold sooooooooo it’s worth it
When I heard the drums I knew it first I smiled and started singing to the song I love it and I’m Canadian
Shout out from Texas! Love your Channel!!!
faved if for nothing else but Jingles and the song
did that visit in Houston. Totally worth it! beautifully conserved ship.
Texas has an affinity... she likes potshots at snipers....
I am from Texas, and I approve the music and this video.
YES!!!!
I helped restore the Texas' life boats back in 2000.
My grandma had exclusive access to all parts of the ship.
While I don't play WoWS much these days, I think I'll have to pick up this ship. I visited the Texas last summer and spent an afternoon crawling all over it. She did have some rough spots, particularly in the engine room, but apparently she looks much better than she did in the 60's.
I bought one and I don't even play WoWS. Well done, Jingles. Well done.
Fantastic vid. Love seeing you play WoWs.
I am just more happy that the fact Jingles used the song of 'The Yellow Rose of Texas' :D
Absolutely love the intro with the yellow rose of texas! :))
It feels nice coming back to this video where today, August 31st, Texas is on the move to Galveston for her LONG awaited Dry Dock period
This video makes me want to head back down to the San Jacinto park to see the Battleship Texas again... haven't seen her in years
nice vid jingles loving your story and history telling...and Your battleship looks very nice :D
I visited her as she is berthed just south east of Houston, TX.
it's interesting. after the last major upgrade to the uss Texas. she was reduced in maneuverability and speed. and it also affected her handling in rough seas
I'm so glad they added this beaute of a machine!
Seen the Texas, really interesting day out.
The song playing with the battleship booming in the background actually sounded pretty badass. XD
It's a really good ship, doing a review of it at the mo myself ... Thanks Jingles :)
Yay Texas, My great-uncle served on the New York and I visited the Texas just last month
