I want to cry watching these beautiful babies and what they must have gone through. God Bless all of those who work tirelessly to rehabilitate and teach these little guys to get that back to where they belong.
Taking care of these babies and the older ones is very expensive. At this season of giving, each of us should donate $10 and that will go a long way in providing milk, food, veterinary care and Medicine, caregivers, and fuel for Jeeps and boats that rescue and return the older ones when they're rehabilitated. Please ,now is the time for us to be there with a few dollars that we will never miss, since we can't be there ourselves to do the work and to give the physical loving and care. Please give as I have done now. Thanks from this orangutan long-distance USA mom to all of you.
Thank you IAR! - your work in West Kalimantan is inspiring and should fill people with enormous hope - everyone at Apes Like US and GLOBIO is proud to do anything we can do to share your story
Humans need their mother longer than orangutans. Some of them never leave home. Some humans do not teach their children survival skills such as independence, work ethics, cooking, cleaning, balancing a checkbook, Mate selection, and education. They believe that the school should teach such things as internal discipline. However THIS is bringing more entitled children and criminals into our society. when I left home I could cook, clean, balance my finances, have a job and actually work. I was taught to vote and participate, respect those in authority, patriotism and individuality. I was taught that my rights ended where someone else's began. When I bought my first house I looked to my parents for advice on navigating the confusing financial situations. To this day I have taken all their learnings to heart. Humans are the land animals that need their mothers the longest.
What a waste of valuable resources on a bunch of useless apes. Id much rather donate to causes that help the children of Indonesia who live in terrible poverty.
Kenapa masih banyak induk orang utan yg dibunuh? Apakah pengawasan dipintu- pintu masuk ke hutan sangat longgar? Apakah kalau pemburu liar itu tertangkap diberikan sangsi yg membuat mereka jera?
So, their mothers were killed by the fires?? I thought the babies were attached to the mothers for years. Wouldn’t that mean the babies would have burned too. I call BS
Thanks for your professional opinion but yes, unfortunately it happens often. The babies sometimes make it thanks to being sheltered and protected by their mothers while they try to escape the fires. Sometimes the babies don't make it either. Here's an article where both the mother and baby just about made it out alive: metro.co.uk/2015/11/10/orangutan-holds-onto-her-baby-after-devastating-forest-fire-nearly-kills-them-both-5492460/

Nana Marion You give them all the money you want but I think if I have any to give it will be to poor Human children
@@rickgolden9220 : It is unlikely that humans of any age will go extinct any time soon. Orangutans are headed in that direction.
It doesn’t matter that humans aren’t going extinct. A real human baby’s life is far more important than an ape
Beautiful video. Thank you ever so much for showcasing our orangutan project!

Those poor orangutans had enough trouble losing mothers and habitat! The last thing they needed was a fire!

Pigs are more beautiful and cute than orangutan/baby orangutan without doubt.

True. Baby piglets are equally as appealing as baby orangutans.
Nah.
