It's a terrible and sad situation for the orangutans. How many mothers have been butchered with their baby watching. It's heartbreaking. I have adopted an orangutan called Rickina and it's such a nice way to feel you're doing something. I thoroughly recommend it.

Luna and all orangutans are precious. It's extremely painful to think about what kind of fate she actually met. Is she alive? Imprisoned? What happened to that sweet baby? We'll probably never, ever know. I would give anything in the world to see that little angel safe in the arms of a loving caretaker.
After watching this video and seeing Luna's beautiful personality, it breaks my heart deeply. I hope you were able to find her :( if not then may Allah protect her wherever she is and if she is harmed may He give justice to those who harmed her.
Is it true that there was corruption within? I also heard that place didn't have the proper licensing, either. I really hope it wasn't one of the employees as Luna trusted them :( she finally had a safe place where she is suppose to be taken care of, loved, and can trust that the people around her have her best interests. How is Kesi, Mangis, Bonita, etc ?? Did they get released to the wild?? I always root for the under dogs and I hate see any kind of bullying. I have a feeling that Mangis hasn't been released but if she has then I am so happy for her!!! But Kesi hands down is my favorite also, does hercules still go to one of the pre release islands half of the year and has he been able to climb at all if so?And I have a question. So I know they implant a birth control device in the females. Do they take them out once their released to the wild? I'm assuming they still have it in when their on the pre release islands and the ones who did get pregnant while being there was simply due to failure? A care give could not resist the money. She took Luna and sold her as a pet to help feed her family. Rickina is a lovely orangutan. Adopting a baby gives it a further chance to thrive. I adopted a young Sumatran orphan called Siti.

She was sold into the pet trade and was last reported to have been in the middle East and had been a guys twisted torture doll. She's dead for sure.
