These Tyco builds reminded me that I had a Tyco Terraniac, which was "insane on any terrain". Of course after seeing those commercials I had to have one for Christmas. Memories of it included: not being "insane on any terrain", getting stuck on sand or snow, and having zero ground clearance

funnily enough what I liked most about my rebound was that it would go over just about anything: the weight was almost entirely the wheels and battery, battery was almost dead center so it's center-of-mass was a close match to it's center-of-volume, all that weight in the wheels meant it both stayed gyroscopically stable and could be rolled/turned in the air with a decent degree of control. all that together got you a buggy car that you could literally drive up a tree with enough finesse.
that said I honestly don't think they knew what they built when they shoved giant tires on a buggy car to make it look cool, case in point all they needed to do to be able to add "It even drives on water!" to all their packaging and advertisements was some kind of sealant on the battery box (I used a rubber band). it wasn't even slow, the silly oversized treads acted as a paddle wheel.
as for super rebound I know the arm had a motor and gearage on it from fiddling with one at a garage sale, it kinda looked like a crappy gimmick though so I didn't bother getting it even at garage sale prices and already having the batteries and charger...come to think of it I'm pretty sure I _did_ buy the batteries and charger from that garage sale just to be able to keep more packs charged at once.
I used them for a lot of things...let's just say a lot of the stuff from this channel remind me of my childhood...silliest thing I remember making is turning my salad into a toy car at dinner, not an rc one, just a motor mounted on veggies rolling on carrot wheels, tried to make carrot gears too but they broke in like 3 seconds so rubber band + guide channel on one of the wheels...can't remember what I used for axels...probably something from the odds and ends pile I was messing with before dinner.

also, I figured out how that spin section works. It has a gear drive that links the two wheels together. So the motor itself is also the hub. So once that side gets airborne and the wheels lose traction, the whole mechanism spins

I have a cheapo chinese knockoff i got for my kids. The arm is constantly rotating in the direction you are pushing the stick ( GO/BACK). It's not free moving but it doesn't have enough torque to flip the car over while driving, only when stuck on something.
For doing any actual tricks it's very important that you have the controls separated as on the original. ( you had no left and right, only forward and backwards for the left or right wheels, by changing which way they were spinning or how fast you were able to turn in place or while racing etc..)

only thing I'd change for it all is your tank steering, the you have 3 to push one set of wheels forward while pushing the others back and 4 being vice versa. To be 100% accurate I've had 1 do forward for the left wheels, 2 forward for right wheels, 3 reverse for left, and 4 reverse for right, it'll force you to press both 1 &2 to go forward and 3& 4 to go reverse but it still gives you tank steering and it allows you to use one set of wheels at a time which is exactly how the controls for the Rebound/Super rebound actually work. Other than that pretty damned accurate

i don't know if it would even be possible in scrap, but technically i believe each side was driven by a single motor located in the center. there would then be gears running down both sides out to the wheels. what this means for the spinning side is that if it wasn't touching the ground it would begin rotating from the torque. so, you could stand it up on the fixed side and helicopter the spinning side.

I know this is an entirely different game but I figured since this is your most recent video you're more likely to see this. I've got a couple ideas I think would be cool for Trailmakers Multiplayer.
Remember that high speed hover train you made for the centrifuge? I'd like to see a challenge where one person is driving that for as long as they can while the others try to take him down with planes or helicopters or something.
Another idea would be a similar thing, but instead of the train just use like a school bus or something.
I would also like to see a multipurpose vehicle stunt challenge (land, water, air capabilities put to the test)
Anyway I hope you see this and think my ideas sound fun!
