Hello! I just found you're channel and I haven't checked out your others videos yet, but I wanted to suggest maybe making future videos that go over ideas like this in a little more detail. It's nice to have the quick and efficient way to get these things in game, but I'd love to see you go over other possible options and kinda explain what we can try out. For example showing us the day/night cycle with this loop, multiple changes to weather/lighting, and other effects available as part of the default assets. Or just any fun additions or tricks you can come up with. I feel like it would be very helpful and fun to watch at the same time!
is there a way to make the certain weather trigger only in certain areas? for example my world has a snowy mountain range and i’d like it to snow 24/7 there. also is it possible to make i the weather rng based as well, so that in areas outside the mountains there’s a random chance of rain?
Yeah of course, just put snow vfx (you may need to make/find a custom Niagara snow effect as the fortnite creative standard one covers the whole island) in the snow area and rain in the places you want rain. Then you can put them on a timer using the timer device with a random number generator device that triggers every 5 minutes and 4 spots in total are 3 empty spots, then one trigger so it's a 25 percent chance of rain/snow every 5 minutes or something like that.
This is a great tutorial, custom weather is something I didn't even think was in the game. For a future tutorial could you do one on custom HUDs / UIs? Like a custom inventory at the bottom, custom health bar, etc. I think that would be great for a lot of people. Thank you for making these videos!
If I want a weather transition should I use the Fade In and Fade Out options instead of the Enable and Disable options? Or should I use them together (Enable + Fade In)
If I remember, I tried to use fade in and fade out while making this video and it didn't really work so I went with the enable/disable. But try it out and see. Also you don't need to enable/disable + fade in/fade out as to fade in or out it needs to be always enabled. (i think)
I don't think you can but add the volumetric fog actor to a sequencer and see if you can make a key the settings in details like the post-process device and see if that works. I haven't tried it though.
In the day sequence devices you can change the time, so just like how I did with the fog, you can make a day/night cycle like how I did in this short I made -> ruclips.net/user/shorts-B1KWfV7Ow4?feature=shared .
Hey for some reason it only goes through the cycle one time (it starts off with no rain, it rains, then there’s no rain) and it doesn’t rain after that could you tell me how to fix to where it is a continuous cycle of turning on and of over and over please
You might have times can trigger in any of the triggers set to 1 or you may have forgot to add the looping where you trigger the first trigger then the last one triggers. Like I do at 3:25

@@howtwoboss ok when I can I will try. And what about the volumetric fog? Can it be controlled during the game or it have fixed settings?

is there a way to do this but add morning, afternoon and night to this?
