I've been using this excercise for almost 18 yrs. I am 34 yrs old now and my waistline is 25 hips 36. Been doing this every after a day. This is really an effective exercise together with best music. I can do right side hula hoop for more than 20 mins and reverse to left side same mins. Will just stop if I am exhausted. 😁😉

Yep. Minuteman agrees. I've included hooping in my weekly workout regime, and it's been great. Mastering more challenging moves can be frustrating, but even when I can't do them, I'm still working my core.
I just bought the same hoop. I was told that weighted hoops are easier for beginners. Thoughts? I've never been able to hula hoop, even as a child. I can do it, but briefly. I think I'm burning the most calories by bending over to pick it up every time it falls. LOL
Listen... Don't give up weighted hoops can be cumbersome and terribly hard to store but Dance hoops are the ones that you see everyone doing tricks and having a fun time with. Target has a brand of collapsible dance hoops. The fun begins during your journey of mastering the Tricks !
The weight in weighted hoops is disturbed evenly, which helps with balance. Also, if you’re trying to learn tricks and hoop dancing, a large hoop is great for beginners... more room to execute the moves, and once perfected, you can start to downsize. I’ve been hoop dancing for 8 years and my first hoop (48” and 1.5 lbs) will forever be dear to me.

I have a standard hoop and can't keep it going more than 10 revolutions. I was told by someone who may or may not know that if I go to a weighted hoop I will never be able to use a standard hoop? Is this true or is the weighted hoops like training wheels to get you ready for a standard hoop? Another person told me older people can't do hula hooping but that isn't true because I saw an old lady hooping and she kept it going until they made her stop. BTW you are lovely and the hoop is certainly working for you!

Do i recive results, or mini abs. Or any kind of that sort, if i do 1hour (with pause ofc) hula hoop, but still eat sugar, ice cream, white bread, candy, etc?
Hello there , my hula hoop is a golds gym brand and is a weighted hoop at 2.5 lbs, not sure what size it is , but I think any hula would be great , as long as you get those hips moving , your heart pumping and those abs engaged !!! Pyschotropic Wanderlust yes you can dance with it !!!! It's quite different from a traditional hula hoop though , it's hard to do arm twirls with it because of the weight but other than that it's great for adding a twist to your workout regimen

Go search beginner waist hooping videos & start there. HoopSmiles, & Deanne Love are great channels to start with!This workout video is after you’ve mastered waist hooping. Don’t give up! It takes time. Commit to an hour a day at least or even every other day. You will get it eventually. Took me awhile to learn it & I try new tricks every time I get one down pat! It’ll make you feel so good about yourself & build confidence when you start accomplishing tricks! Always stretch & warm up first! Search hoop yoga videos too! You need to watch some “beginner how to waist hoop” tutorials though! It’ll help you figure out what you are doing incorrectly. Good luck & happy hooping! ✌️
