people don't understand how ridiculous the F-22 really is, it isn't an air superiority fighter, it isn't an air supremacy fighter, its an air DOMINANCE fighter. It can turn so hard it can kill its pilot the only times its been detected by radar, is when its weapons bay is open, its been equipped with axillary fuel tanks, or has had radar reflectors attached the only time its been bested in mock combat is when its had its 8000lbs axillary fuel tanks attached, in a dogfight, thats like attaching a ford F-450 under each wing and even then it would probably delete the enemy fighter from 500 kms away
And that's America's problem, they aren't part of enough conflicts, so these F-22 aren't being used, and since sixth gen is on it's way, they'll have to retire the F-22 without even using it to their full capabilities, so either they sell them to countries for a lot of money in an attempt to make their money back, or just expand on the F-22 like they did with the F-18, from the Hornet to the Super Hornet, from the Raptor to the Super Raptor, or their third option is to simply suck it up and make a new jet, or they could bring back the YF-23 Black Widow.

Doubtfully. While it was slightly faster and a little more stealthy, the F-22 was far more manurable and the YF-23 could only carry 4 medium range missiles total in it's 2 internal bays. The F-22 can carry 6 in it's one. 2 missiles is a big difference, even one missile is a big difference, as it can be the difference between needing to rearm and then potentially dying because of it, or getting the kill.

F-22A Raptor is stealth until it opens its bombay which is why I believe they close it immediately after they launch a missile/drop a bomb.
No point in keeping it open if there's no longer need to fire missiles and they don't have stealth
