The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is a single seat, twin engine, stealth, air superiority fighter designed by Lockheed Martin for the United States Air Force. It was the first 5th generation air-superiority fighter and it ushered in a new era of combat. The aircraft is recognised as one of the most deadly in the world and is only in use in the United States Air Force.

It doesnt fight for air superiority, it just has it.
There was a training unit lately with eurofighter typhoons and f22 raptors showing that the ef typhoon would win a head on to dogfight in 200:1 meaning more or less the typhoon is way more efficient due to it's price, speed and weapon systems. But still it's a damn cool aircraft
@@MotoLifeAustria You must cite that the f22s were nerfed and most of the time were given a clear advantage with visual site, Then what happened? The us air force put fuel canisters on the wings of the aircraft which resulted in less movement from the f22s, and because of the canisters there radar advantage were crippled, They were also out numbered, F22 In a fair fight? No chance brother.

I think this is the best Jet-fighter there is. Very nicely designed, and especially the steered thrust. In short, it's a piece of art.
And the best thing is, it's beautifully designed but for actual practical and technical reasons 👹👊🏻💥🛩️🔥

I’ve been under my car half a dozen times, replaced the entire braking system back from the master cylinder including the vacuum pump, replaced the entire fuel line all the way to the engine and I think I’ve put 7 different wheels on the car over its lifetime, and I know more about the F22 than I do that car. I’ve been following this aircraft since it was made public in 1997, and I’ve been to Marietta Georgia where it was born. I feel you 100%.

the f-22 is a spooky asf plane like ive never heard of any other plane being able to sneak up undetected on another jet and get so close in formation that it could read the serial numbers on the payload and the pilot having the absoute balls to say "you should go home now" over the radio

The U.S. take them seriously and they push the boundaries of known aircraft technology in order to catch up. An USSR defector brings the scary new weapon to the U.S. The U.S. subsequently figure out that the USSR were full of shit but they decide to keep their new shining toys because they're fun" but the F-22 is basically the U.S. telling Lockheed Martin: "Listen up fam, build me something that will be the scariest thing to take to the sky since the dinosaur era and make sure it has the radar cross-section of a ladybug"

Imagine for a full decade this just being the top of all fighter technology the world has ever seen, before it became a requirements in late 2010s and now 2020s, theoretically can dominate any part of the skies it wants to with just enough firepower and support...
...And then it got it first taste of victory with a balloon, and then about to be replaced with a mass produced F-35(yes im aware Annie isnt a replacement for Raptor, but the amount and it being exported everywhere is about to go past the Raptor soon). Although it’s lifespan is coming to an end, 30(that number is probably more likely 100) F22 have been selected to test new technologies for the NGAD program and they will likely be in the skies until 2050. Making the F22 the only 5.5 gen in existence. The radar cross signature has been halved from the original version to less than a centimeter at 50 miles. Because of its new “paint job” it’s also nearly invisible to infrared, which means that not even heat seeking rockets will lock on to it. My sources are all over the place and some of them are direct word of mouth from information that has not been disclosed on the internet, but trust me, this is accurate. The new NGAD raptor can do 1500mph completely undetected, drop its payload and return without ever alerting the enemy, and even if they are alerted, there isn’t a counter attack possible. It flies faster than a CWIS can shoot, and faster than a SAM missile, and has a heat signature that is so low that not even air to air missiles will lock on. This system is so reliable that the new NGAD raptor does not carry flares or chaff.
NGAD won't turn like a Raptor though. I think it'll be sick, but it's not going to be something that awes you at an air show.
