It's four years on from my 2013 Smart Electric and the car has been fun to drive and cheap to run, $3 in maintenance over 25000 km. I wished Smart had increased range at least 50% over my 2013, but they didn't. At least the new one charges 2x faster.

never mind this electric horseshit,put the gas engine back in it.How about a hybrid diesel?Increase the mileage and you will sell a ton of them. Otherwise the Smart will be out of business here in the USA.

Sorry, but this is a terrible car. The inside rear view mirror, rear side & back window visibility are bad blind spots. The ride is very choppy. (I know it's a small car but other makes ride much better) Fuel mileage is pretty bad on the 1 litre gas version. The controls are unnecessarily complex. The driving position means that you need a slight twist for your lower body & that creates hip & lower back pain on long drives. The pedals are too close together & with a size 9 shoe (average size) the edge of your shoe hits the brake pedal when clutching. You cannot set the heater controls for floor heat & defrost at the same time. I am so glad I got to spend a month with this car as I now know just how bad some designs can be. I wouldn't take this as a rental again let alone buy it.

This is a city car and is brilliant , practical and great fun to drive , especially the electric one.
@@SunsetfearOFFICIAL I actually got to spend a month with one driving all over Portugal. If you could read you would have seen that in my previous comment. Had this car had some redeeming qualities I would have posted them but it is a design that many people have found was a huge waste of money. In Canada you cannot give these away now as they are way overpriced & are known to be vehicle with transmission & diesel problems.
