Sydney fishing for Australian Salmon on a stormy afternoon land based spinning lures - Bugsy Fishing

- Bugsy takes us down to a ledge in Sydney Australia for some land based lure fishing targeting Australian Salmon. Bugsy will be spinning stick baits and hardbody minnows. Bugsy is using a Penn Prevail 2 rod with a Shimano Saragosa 6000 reel with PE2.5 line and 40lb monofilament leader. Sydney has a number of premier rock fishing locations. Fishing off the rocks is a dangerous activity and safety should always come first. Check the swell conditions, wear a lifejacket, wear rock cleats or spikes, wear light clothing that you could confidently swim in, and fish with a friend to keep an eye out for each other. Remember to do your part to look after our fish stocks too. If you are going to keep fish, look after them and only take what you will eat. Take your rubbish home with you or throw it in the bin. Respect and preserve our natural wonders. Thank you

Hey mate nice vid. Thinking about getting a Prevail 2. What size/line weight is yours? And what are your thoughts?
Cheers mate! The Prevail 2 in the 9'6" 10-15kg medium heavy is a great rod for spinning. I have recently upgraded to an Ocean's Legacy Specialist PE 2-4 9'8" rod because it has a better action for shore jigging
@@bugsyfishing cheers man! My only concern is the lure min of 50g, does it have much of a problem casting say 30g? Yeh oceans legacy a dream rod! a bit out of my price range atm though 😂
@@muntjunk-plk3171 yeah, 30g is a bit light for the Prevail MH. I usually switch to my lighter 7 foot rod with a 3000 size reel to throw the lighter lures

how do you cook salmon?
Usually, I do it ceviche with pineapple juice, capers and chilli. Or fish and chips. It's a lot of work to cut out the stronger tasting parts. A mate cooks it in the sandwich press!
