Confused Reviews - Episode 75 - The A-Team (2010)
The A-Team is a 2010 American action comedy film based on the 1980s television series of the same name created by Frank Lupo and Stephen J. Cannell. Directed by Joe Carnahan and written by Carnahan, Brian Bloom, and Skip Woods, the film stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson, Sharlto Copley, and Patrick Wilson. The film tells the story of a Special Forces team who, imprisoned for a crime they did not commit, escapes and sets out to clear their names. The film was produced by Cannell, Tony Scott, and (as executive producer) his brother Ridley Scott.
The film had been in development since the mid-1990s having gone through a number of writers and story ideas and being put on hold a number of times. Neeson, Cooper, and the rest of the cast joined in summer 2009, and filming took place around Canada later that year. The film was theatrically released on June 11, 2010, by 20th Century Fox. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the cast and action sequences but criticized the script. A sequel was initially anticipated, but after the film underperformed at the box office, grossing $177 million worldwide against its $110 million budget, plans were scrapped.

I loved this movie. It was just the right amount of schlock. I also love the knock off, The Losers.
The only thing I can remember from this movie is the infamous flying tank scene.
Oh infamous indeed, (and awesome)
@@ConfusedReviews Yup.
i wanna rewatch this movie my only memory was the great escape scene
It was while watching this review that I remembered Saints Row the Third did the tank sky-diving scene for one of its missions. Also, Brian Bloom went on to voice B.J. Blaskowitz in the new Wolfenstein games (A-Team/Wolfenstein crossover when?).
The only thing i HATE about this movie is they destroying the A TEAM van, that was just heartbreaking
Van was rebuilt in the movie ...
Before they went to prison i think..
there's an alt universe where steven seagal is hannibal in the 2010 A-Team remake.
“I wuv it… -long pause- when a plan *unintelligible mumbling*”
I want to give my two cents and say out of the "What if's" casting you listed off, Bill Paxton as Hannibal, Woody Harrison as Murdock and Ice Cube as B.A. are the three I would have been fine with. They were spot on with Bradley Cooper as face. But I liked the cast in the final product, especially Sharlto Copley, the MVP of the film. (And the MVP of any film he's in,)
Yeah, Sharlto and Bradley are perfect visually and in terms of personality, whoever hired them deserved a raise!
Rampage jackson is fucking awesome too

5:49 I bet he also has a tattoo of the "I've got my eye on you" line from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
I love this movie
Do the blob or night of the creeps
Early gang, stand up 🙏🏾 another masterpiece on the horizon.
Much love brother, glad to see ya here so early!
Is Hannibal on the jazz in this movie?
Just watched this film, great review. Subscribed!
It needed Decker.
Request: I Think You Should Do The Revenge Of The Nerds Series, They Deserve It
Look man, this was one of the first hollywood movies I actually bought because a year before that I had seen The Hangover and really liked the performance of Bradley Cooper. And as someone who saw limited hollywood movies before that time and didn't had a single clue about the 80's TV show, I think it was a very good movie. Brilliant, if you would have asked me then. Yeah, the CGI is a little cringy. But blame it on technology advancement. It was badass that time. I really liked all characters, especially Sharlto Copley as Murdock. If anyone says that the movie was injustice to the actual TV show, I can't debate with them as I still haven't not watched it yet. But as a new viewer, its a movie you can watch once a year.😊
Would have totally loved to see Kurt Russell as Hannibal!!!😃 nothing wromg with Liam he killed it, but love me some Kurt!
Hmmm I always thought George Clooney would of made a better Hannibal
Enjoyed the review 👍🏻
Thank you!
Saw it last night. It’s a hoot.
ICE CUBE
would've been good
he could've done the soundtrack
I wasn't a fan of this movie and it had the writer of Hitman, Xmen Origins Wolverine and A Good Day to Die Hard.
Yeah the screenplay certainly isn't an award-winner, but I enjoyed most of the dialogue and none of it was horribly cringe.
They really shoulda got Kimbo Slice (may he rest in peace now) to play B.A. because you really need someone who's A) a larger than life personality, B) wears a lot of gold, but does all these things in his own way. That way, there isn't as much of a comparison being made to Mr. T (who practically played himself because he's a one of a kind personality and un-imitatable aside from spoof), and Kimbo was very distinctive himself. And he was seen as hella badass. Just getting someone to play a watered-down imitation of Mr. T like they did here draws constant comparison, thus is always seen as not even in the same league and just cannot measure up at all, so you do it differently. It's kinda like not just getting a William Shatner impersonator to play Capt Kirk, rather someone who captures the essence of the actual character but does it not the exact same way.
Also, they shoulda instead gone with Steven Lang, who played the army colonel in Avatar, for Hannibal as he would've been far better fit since he's more similar to the TV counterpart than Neeson was, but with an edge that the TV counterpart didn't have.
Cooper was a good fit for the part of Face, and Jim Carrey would've been hand-in-glove fit for the part of Murdock, but people in 2010 were still a bit fatigued of him whereas now his schtick is so old that it's considered new again. So Sharlto Copley was great for the part given the time.
The overall plot could've also been at least somewhat better conceived, but that's a whole other discussion for another time. Mostly, the Kimbo Slice part is the key-most takeaway here
Kimbo’s passing hit me hard as a lifelong fan of the sport and the bombastic man himself. Truly an inspirational story and legacy that’ll never be forgotten!
21:24 How is Sky High crap? 😲
7:20 to 7:39
😂
i gotta say i didn't like the movie one bit but i appreciate every point you made. (i have guilty pleasures too.... "white chicks" w wayans bros anyone? 🤣)
I've never seen district 9 (and i don't remember why not) but i definitely will because of your strong recommendation.
thanks for another great and entertaining video. the c-team was hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣
That’s the beauty of movies - people love, hate, loathe, despise and mildly enjoy every range of cinema lol.
District 9 rocks.
And thank you, C-Team was so moronically fun to make it might be my favorite part of the vid!
That was actually Producer V's recommendation, but who cares about that guy.
Did theu kill?
69th like.. heh.. the weed number.
👍👍
Theres a movie worse then the dukes food fight but i dont want you to kill yourself
If I want to watch a better version of The A Team movie I will just watch The Losers it has a killer cast and a cool storyline to boot. Sure it’s a knockoff of The A Team but it was better then the actual A Team film.
Man you r harsh on the remake
Did you watch the video?
@@ConfusedReviews it's a joke just joking
Ths stv show a team kicked ass better television back the the movie the a team had its moments ill say this though a team was better then the last 3 terminator movies especially dark fate,
I watched it and it was dumb but still in the spirt of the show and as a fan that is part of gen z i know the show is corny. This movie clearly was written by people that like the show and care about it.
