Weaponized Love

Why is it that "love" can sometimes become the very thing that traps and wounds?
Pathological abusers excel at twisting love into something harmful, using charm, deceit, and manipulation to gain control over their victims. They weaponize affection to create a false sense of security, only to slowly erode the victim's self-worth and autonomy.
Emotional blackmail is a key part of this strategy, where abusers use guilt, fear, and obligation to manipulate and control their victims. These abusers carefully craft an illusion of love, all while deploying subtle tactics to entrap and control, leaving the victim isolated, confused, and often questioning their own reality.
My personal journey is the painful backdrop of this story. I endured over two decades of pathological partner abuse, where love was weaponized against me by someone diagnosed with severe antisocial personality disorder.
The manipulation, deceit, and cruelty I faced are not just words but lived experiences. I wrote these song lyrics to break the silence and shed light on the dark and twisted use of love as a weapon.
