I think the overall design aesthetic is great and judging from the wired version which many reviewers reviewed, it seems to be extremely comfortable and has great build quality as well. But i do feel that the wired v2x has a way better mic compared to the v2 and pro versions. @Dark_Finale
I got the V2 last week and it's amazing. I got Krakens and V2x to decide on the best one and returned them to keep the V2. Very comfortable and great sound. Even with music!

Read this before buying, if you’re wanting to use it for a PlayStation, the volume is not good at all at the max volume it is like half the volume on most headsets, if you’re trying to adjust the size of the headphones it just drops down again since there’s nothing holding it there, it is a comfortable headset and all but the volume is not good at all even for the microphone it sounds got but people can baeelu hear you, if you’re looking for a new good ps4, ps5 headset I really recommend getting the Arctic 7 works for pc, ps4/5 is like $125 in amazon, Best Buy, etc. Or if you want to spend $149 for the Arctic 7p which is basically the same model but just newer and the connection is through a usb C or if you don’t have a usb c port it also has a regular USB adapter for other devices, the steelseries are way comfier, and overall rating is just better, those are what I got after refunding these razed headsets which I got from amazon and used it for 3 days and got a full refund but, really look at steelseries 7, or 7p reviews trust me guys, I’m trying to help you so you don’t make the same mistake I did and if you didn’t know those were the headsets FAZE clan uses, razer is not made for headsets, if you’re looking for other good reliable headsets look for some HyperX but personally and other 3 friends opinion, steelseries Arctic 7 both models are the best quality for the price, obviously it’s not like an A50 which I used for 3 years but I decided to change because they’re not compatible with the ps5, but in like a week I’m getting my new a50s with the ps5 adapter so I just bought my steelseries temporarily since my friends recommended but I’m giving them away as soon as I get the astros a50
Same here, my Kraken TE is still working after having it for 1 1/2 years, little bit of digital clipping rarely but I think that’s just the amount of programs I have open that require sound. Regardless, my goal is to use them to 3-4 years until something goes wrong at that point.
@@SJSharkMaster normally that applies but in my experience and the general consensus ALL the other razer sets are comically bad in comparison to the blackshark v2 lineup. Once you try something else you'll experience a whole new world.
I just looked up about how these are on consoles and it says they're not as good, so I'm guessing you'd have to have a pc just to customise the sound and eq

I would always recommend a proper mic for broadcasting. That said you can listen to the mic test and judge if the quality is good enough for you personally to use it.
i actually quite love this headset, used it for 2 weeks, very comfortable. the only issue is it doesnt automatically switch back to PC's speakers when i turn off the headset. have to go sound setting to change it back.
I love the fact that they made it black on black! The Razer green always bothered me since nothing else in my setup matches. I also love the fact that they look like those aviator headsets that cs pros use. Im running some panasonic earbuds since my headset broke down a while back so having anything would probably be better lol. @AYoopers
Mine beeps way too much and I use it wirelessly on ps4 right now because getting a pc is a little difficult right now with prices on parts but just curious why it does the beeping so much and I let it charge for around and hour or two
These sound really good, but it's annoying that if I let them sit idle and they're close to going into sleep mode, and I start to play audio, if it's within 10-15 seconds of the sleep time they still go into sleep mode and shut off.

This is a good product for wireless headset form a good company. Very happy with the price, and the wireless headset finally brings a good audio sound. Hope the wireless headset have more affordable price in the future.

I have bought them both from amazon and trying them out for a few days now. I can really say that they seem absolutely the same. For me the razer feels more premium (which is nice, because not all of their products are well built), on the other hand the steelseries feels more like a comfortable headset, it has a lower clamping force and it sits on your head without u noticing. However the razer is very much the same but with a stronger clampping, lets say 6/10 and SteelSeries is 4,5/10 ,10 is the strongest. They are similarly comfortable, the headband on the razer is plush and comfy, on ss there is the skigoogle strap which is in my opinion the same comfort as Razer. Steelseries Arctics 9 things I LIKE: a little bit more comfortable thanks to the low weight and squishy earcups, the mic can be retracted into the headset, the mic has a red light reminding when the headset is off, the sound is bit better for overall use, music, films etc. also the most important thing for me - mic sidetone (ability to hear yourself through the headset) is great and loud unlike the razer, volume dial is great on the headset and also discord/game toggle, both work as promised Steelseries Arctics 9 things I DO NOT LIKE: cheaper built quality, they look cheaper than the razers (its just my opinion, ofc u wont see it when u wear them), they let more noise inside than razer Razer BlackShark V2 Pro things I LIKE : perfect premium look, volume dial similiar as on arctics, wireless range is great (as on arctics), better sounds in games, better passive isolation, more sturdy feel, they sit on the head more firmly (compared to arcitcs, razers are more firm, you can wobble your head and they wont fall, the arctics are a bit more loose, hope you can understand) Razer BlackShark V2 Pro things I DO NOT LIKE: Mic SIDENOTE is not high enough to hear myself in the game !!!! even after turning the volume and all dials on max ! if this is important for you, i would not recommend this headset (on the other hand the artics performs well, the sidenote there is really loud on max ), mic is not retractable, it has to be plugged in to the headset which is a bit meh for me also the mic is a bit bulky imo, sometimes I hear a buzing noise through the headset after a few minutes it stops, which is not very great for a headset at this price. @Trent Michael Hello, I definitely agree with you with the sidetone. It works just fine when you are calling someone and hear them as they speak and also hear a slight boost in my voice. Altought in games where a lot of music/ shooting is present I have to lower the games volume to hear myself a bit especially at night when I dont want to wake up my parents. To the volume boost. Actually I would like to have a slight boost in the sidetone for the late night plays when I just cant speak normal volume, It would be greatly benefitial if I could just speak quietly and at the same time hear myself boosted in the headset. Listen to this device works fine but it has a few second delay which makes it non usable for me. Thats a nice point with the sidetone, they definitely made it just to hear yourself slightly. But as I said I would like to have just a slight boost in the mic sometimes. At the end, I really like them now, they sound great, have perfect wireless (I have never imagined how practical that is), and they are really comfortable for long hours and also I dont sweat inside them. So I definitely recommend them to everyone who is looking for a great wireless computer headset. Have a great holiday and stay safe.
Nice I'm gonna get this for my bday next weekend with the BW Elite and deathadder v2 pro. Sure the logitech g is nice and all but I miss using my favorite classic Razer gear but updated versions of them. Cant wait. :)
I heard the wired versions were really good. I used the HyperX Cloud headset (the first one) with a very close design as these before but while that one had great audio it was painful for my head and was a bit lacking on the extended range of the headband to fully cover my ears without squishing the lobes of my ears a little. I also agree about the reduction of leatherette usage. All my headsets, especially those with similar bands as this one, eventually have leatherette chipping and falling off over time, irritating my scalp and side of the head (tropical country here). I think these cans would do better than any "gaming" headset I've tried before. Pricey though. But I do give it great points for still allowing the use of it wired via 3.5mm jack. I like wireless fidelity, but I hate dealing with battery and charging stuff. Being "jacked-in" lets me focus better without having to worry about charge levels. @kamikaze00007

I returned a50s for this. Saved 170+ for essentially a better headset that has no connection issues, no useless settings, has a better mic, and can connect to anything by just connecting usb. A50s are really nice sounding and comfortable but just to many issues with setting up, connecting and charging,
compared to the razers older headhpones, the krken series, i really like that they have implemented this headset to combat the G pro X wireless headset from logitech
i just hope it doesnt break down like the origional blackshark Origional Blackshark: was great for two years, untill in a matter of two months the leather broke down, the mic stopped working and the cable broke. with the v2 you only have some leather up top, and a cable break would be unlikely, leaving only the question on how long the mic will work.
Im thinking abt getting either these or the astros a 40s i just cannot decide which ones should i buy and im on ps4. I just need the headset that would last long if taken care of and have good sound quality for games like rainbow six siege specially and that is comforting

Takes mundane SFX and makes them come alive. This has been my experience as well. I use it with PS5 and PC. This plus PS5's 3D audio is sth else.

(if you can convince for something wired is as great as some of these I am willing to try them) (also dont think that I have money to waste, I am just trying the headsets as I want the best option for me, and also this covid thing keeps us locked inside so this is just a fun thing to do :)

Hello, I definitely agree with you with the sidetone. It works just fine when you are calling someone and hear them as they speak and also hear a slight boost in my voice. Altought in games where a lot of music/ shooting is present I have to lower the games volume to hear myself a bit especially at night when I dont want to wake up my parents.
To the volume boost. Actually I would like to have a slight boost in the sidetone for the late night plays when I just cant speak normal volume, It would be greatly benefitial if I could just speak quietly and at the same time hear myself boosted in the headset.
Listen to this device works fine but it has a few second delay which makes it non usable for me.
Thats a nice point with the sidetone, they definitely made it just to hear yourself slightly. But as I said I would like to have just a slight boost in the mic sometimes.
At the end, I really like them now, they sound great, have perfect wireless (I have never imagined how practical that is), and they are really comfortable for long hours and also I dont sweat inside them.
So I definitely recommend them to everyone who is looking for a great wireless computer headset.

Nice I'm gonna get this for my bday next weekend with the BW Elite and deathadder v2 pro. Sure the logitech g is nice and all but I miss using my favorite classic Razer gear but updated versions of them. Cant wait. :)

I heard the wired versions were really good. I used the HyperX Cloud headset (the first one) with a very close design as these before but while that one had great audio it was painful for my head and was a bit lacking on the extended range of the headband to fully cover my ears without squishing the lobes of my ears a little. I also agree about the reduction of leatherette usage. All my headsets, especially those with similar bands as this one, eventually have leatherette chipping and falling off over time, irritating my scalp and side of the head (tropical country here). I think these cans would do better than any "gaming" headset I've tried before. Pricey though. But I do give it great points for still allowing the use of it wired via 3.5mm jack. I like wireless fidelity, but I hate dealing with battery and charging stuff. Being "jacked-in" lets me focus better without having to worry about charge levels. @kamikaze00007

Pricing is steep for the construction of this headphone. Great feature set. But I'm afraid the wire frame will give up sooner than later. @SaltyCarty

I returned a50s for this. Saved 170+ for essentially a better headset that has no connection issues, no useless settings, has a better mic, and can connect to anything by just connecting usb. A50s are really nice sounding and comfortable but just to many issues with setting up, connecting and charging,

Origional Blackshark: was great for two years, untill in a matter of two months the leather broke down, the mic stopped working and the cable broke.
with the v2 you only have some leather up top, and a cable break would be unlikely, leaving only the question on how long the mic will work.
please compare something like G pro X wireless. Good Video but this doesn't help in the consumer's perspective at all...
