      @@AEON. I could, but there would be no comparison. I believe they're the same LEDs and yes they're 365nm. The bigger one has far more output since there are 3 LEDs and it has a wider beam angle since it has a bigger reflector. That is no knock on the Mini though. The Mini is still strong, just more compact.

    What batteries are you using to get four hours of uv light from the beast? Mine is a great light for a few minutes then it dims down to a paperweight and an angry owner. I get longer lasting, uniform light and brightness from the micro AAA uv lights found at convenience stores.

    • @UVBlackLights
      @UVBlackLights  Год назад +1

      18650 batteries that it came with. If it dims down after a few minutes you probably got a defective or defective batteries? I would reach out to them.

    Hey great video man.. I collect uranium glass at flea markets and thrift stores. So which one would you recommend for spotting glass in the daytime.

    • @UVBlackLights
      @UVBlackLights  2 года назад

      That’s really tough. I’ve never owned any uranium, so I’m not sure how they would react in the day time. I guess if you’re close enough to the glass you’ll see it react. 365nm would be best.

    I finally got one of these. This is the first I've been able to see an LED that could do 365nm, so I'm really impressed by it. Plus the filter helps a lot & the build quality is awesome! I'm bummed there is such a distinct focal point concentrated in the center, with no way to make it more evenly distributed (that I've figured out yet at least). I've been experimenting with different types of material in front of it, to try to diffuse it a bit, but haven't had much luck yet. Do you have any suggestions? I was hoping to prop one or two of these up in my circus tent/haunted house when I go to the music festivals
    Thanks for the info man!

    • @UVBlackLights

      Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to disperse the beam on any UV flashlight. Atleast that I’m aware of. You’ll probably need an actual blacklight fixture instead of flashlight. Thank you for watching!

      @@UVBlackLights 👍🏻 Thanks. So, basically, there are 2 types of UV photography. UV reflective and UV florescent (aka UVIVF). On UVIVF you capture visible light, which is reflected from the florescent objects. On UV reflective you actually capture UV light and how objects reflect it naturally, (our skin for example)... you can easily find some samples online to have a better idea 🙂👍🏻
