Does it consume the battery faster than normal flashlights? They shine so bright even if they are small.
I have been using Convoy UV light(probably the best value for money) with UV band pass filter for my purposes.

Why UV for camping?
Love that it runs on AA, I have the adjustable AA that I picked up on amazon and it sucks. I usually use these to look for coolant leaks,and that Thrunite looks like it would blow my cheap amazon uv light out to the trash bin

Disc Golfers use UV lights for looking for discs on course at night, and you could imagine the further it can go the better. They also used to "charge" the discs before throwing.
This is why I’m watching these vids. Wish a UV channel would show tests using eclipse and Innova glow plastic

I've got a custom car that's airbrushed with black light. Looks like the beast is the way to go. Is it 365n? I want to be able to light up the whole side of the car. This video was 7 months ago. Is this the most up to date ?

Thanks for the video. I can see where throw would have some advantage. For example in my yard I have flying squirrels which apparently glow under UV light so I'd need distance to see them in trees. Also if in snake country then having throw lets you see scorpions or other insects further back from rock pile and cliff faces so you don't have to go too close with just the UV light on. Especially if you have one of those lights that require you to get just inches above the item. And while I've never tried it, I wonder if throw would help with larger surveys. Some lichens glow differently under UV then could a more powerful light allow you to sweep over an area of ground and certain lichens stand out from many metres away?. Again I've not tried that but would like to. I know some people use these lights in their hotel rooms so I'm guessing the more throw the faster you can find out how gross your hotel room is.

The uvBeast is insane, however is way too big for a uv light you wont use all the time, the Thrunite performs excellent for what a uv light is going to be used and it's very small so more comfortable to carry along with a regular light
There's a guy in TikTok that does live streams hunting scorpions on his property in Arizona. That's the type of person who needs it. The Thrunite is more for what a normal person does.
I'm most impressed with the Thrunite Archer UV but I'm not sure what I could use it for unless I'm hunting and it would help track the blood of a wounded animal? Best of luck to any of you who wins and, if you can, maybe let us know what you end up using your knew light for.

Throw distance is good for detecting creatures that glow at night and if you work in forensics it helps to see crime scene better (hidden evidence).

Interseting ! But it is better to buy ARKFELD UV or Seeker mini 4.....yes it is more expansive but the quality and polyvalence is more important......good job for your video !

Good for scorpion hunting! Do all of these lights emit the same wavelength of UV? Hope to see some "short wave" UV (UV-C) LEDs in lights one of these days. UV-C if good to sterilize surfaces, or water; And for rock collecting. These lights are probably lower energy UV-B?
UV-C is literally ionizing radiation and will absolutely mess you up. There's no practical use for it outside of laboratory settings.
If you live in a desert area with a lot of scorpions the UVbeast could come in handy. Otherwise the Archer UV and the I5UV would be perfect for the average person.

Looking for golf balls on a golf course at night with a UV flashlight is like having cheat codes. if your into golf ball hunting. Therefore I’m looking for a uv flash light that is the brightest and one that has the most throw….
Also a filter is exceedingly important to cut down on the visible light and make what you are using uv for more visable.
Like turn on your projector to watch a good movie then turn on your most powerful flashlight and point at screen... Hard to see screen.
I will probably order because it's thrunight and its cheap but all uv lights should have a viable light filter

Why not sure like real lift beam setting on what they can and can't pick up on some of us want to walk slowly around in the dark to identify specific minerals not just compare out bed sheets to put mate

The tiki uv has the main led as uv. And it has 2 modes. Weak and strong. The other modes are for the side leds which are just white and has 3 modes. The one in the video is the normal tiki not uv tiki.

Looking for anything that flouresces
One exception checking counterfeit or suspected stolen (a fad a while ago not so much now) items for actual owner written in uv marker or paint... Then almost any uv works like a Keychain uv.
