I was going to make a comment about why this is stupid-but then I actually watched the video. Lol. I've worked in hellaciously busy cafes where this really would have come in handle during peak hours. If that makes my tamping skills sounds bad, well I don't care. :)
Lovely camera + production work guys, it's come a long way from some of your old videos. I would love to see new videos covering the most popular equipment because the production quality is so much higher; Marques Brownlee is a channel that I think has great quality of video and you're a lot of the way there with these new videos.
@@_w_w_ yes but you make it sound like its a organized effort. Personall, i prefer small independant shops, partly because i hate the fake cheerful "hi how are you today" that seems rampant in shops. Snooty is better then fake friendly.
@@locheyhopkinson9321 So explain that clearly when your are making a Video about a $1,200 Press, instead of a blanket statement. The problem is that can be an expense comment to make to someone who buy's Barista Express believing the Pug Press will work, when in fact it will not. Actual tamp demo start at 11:10
For those wondering...$1190.00
Sto watching it when i saw the price in comments.
😲 damn.
Not a product for everyone, but its great at its job! Worth the cost if you're a busy cafe.
Wow! I'll keep tamping by hand!
I'm not from the US so for all those not us folks 30 pounds is 13.608 kilograms
For the price of it, I want it to do ALL my housework, also maybe do the lawn once a week. Is it any good at cooking? 🤪
Do you need to wdt prior or no need?
Is it normal for the tamper to be lose?
what's the name of the batch coffee machine behind you?

Next theyre going to make a machine that'll drink the coffee for you 😂
Thanks for your video !

What a ridiculous price for what it is.
Good tools cost money. As they say, if you have to ask the price.........
Who wants to start a Kickstarter and make this for consumers at half the cost? I feel like it's got a market.

Brown Jessica Walker Michael Clark Sarah
Lewis Margaret Harris Melissa Davis Sharon

We are so close to be able to get rid of all the snooty Starbucks baristas ;)
Who is "we" and why are you getting rid of them?
@@trosskI know plenty of people that do not like Starbucks baristas. With tools working so well and mostly automated, why do we still need baristas?

So Breville is a 53mm Portafilter, so that Pug press is too big
The math adds up. You are correct.
Not all breville machines are 53mm for example the dual boiler is 58mm
