  • In this video, You will learn how to use emoji on your favourite Linux distribution with Gnome desktop environment. This guide is for Ubunut, Manjaro, Fedora, Pop OS! or any other distro with Gnome in it.
The extension doesn't have support for the latest Gnome 40+ versions so fo that I have provides a work-around in the guide as well. Using that, you can get the extension working on any Gnome version. Do let me know your experience with it in the comment sections below and if you use any other way to use emojis on your Linux system, mention that as well, I would love to try that myself.
    Now you enjoy the video!

There are themes that can do that and if you want to take on the adventure and know how to handle CSS, then you can directly make changes in the theme file.

why not just install gnome-characters with
    sudo apt install -y gnome-characters
Then add a keyboard shortcut that calls "gnome-characters" as command? you will be able to pick as same in ubuntu

It's just the installation now, no need to edit anything just add the extension and you are good to go.
It was the most efficient fix of its time.
