It’s still feels unreal that we finally live in a time where we know everything about the game. It’s kind of nostalgic thinking about how curious we all were about this mysterious sequel.

Yeah. Prominent Zelda RUclipsrs PICKED THIS TRAILER APART piece by piece! I think the only things they missed were the stone on Ganondorf's forehead and the Zonai translation on Rauru's hand trail (although that's because we couldn't. Are we able to now?).
@@shardcollectorfilms6575 the Zonai language was different in this trailer to a later trailer then it's different again in the game (not like different symbols but the symbols were connected to different letters).
You are wrong in the best way possible. We likely don't know everything about the game and some video is going to drop 15 years from now with some crazy new discovery found in the game.

I just think Nintendo dropped the ball in general when it comes to "non-main" gameplay elements. I still yearn for a "peaceful hyrule mode" postgame after defeating Ganon; getting to roam around an actual happy and peaceful Hyrule; visiting Zelda from time to time and maybe having some mundane little quests and events afterwards. But still great games; I just... WANTED THAT SO BAD EVER SINCE ALTTP 😭

I'm a little sad we didn't get a little more gameplay in the beginning. Traveling in the depths more with Zelda would have been fun. Either way the game is 11/10!
My theory was that they didn't want to show the entrance and having a four legged creature in the screen time would officially answer too many questions.
If you ask me since there's so much of a large gap between the 1st and 2nd game this entrance can still be apart of the game

I just really want to know what the original vision was here. There's no secret stones, raurus hand doesn't have sage rings and (imo) a more twili style design, no sign of a broken master sword or links arm getting torched...very curious what the original plan was.

HONESTLY
Revisiting this, I'm surprised how true to the game it was. Not a lot was changed. There wasn't a luminous stone bridge or that ox--esque creature, or any creature at all in their exploration of the depths. But their discovery of Ganondorf is almost frame-for-frame the same as the reveal. That's impressive. I also still love that reverse sounding melody in music. It's still there in the final release, but it's not a direct motif to any character, and not Ganondorf's theme directly, just a foreboding theme, but it's so good.

@@jakub_zawadzki It would be cool. Though it seems like a lot with the opening changed, which makes sense since it's such a crucial part of the game. I'm sure we can go back to the caves by going to some part of Hyrule Castle, given there were breakable walls we couldn't unveil before.

After the beating the game, I can say that not only has the game lived to the hype, but surpassed it in every way. Truly the way modern gaming should go.
Because the trailers were so mysterious it was definitely disappointing to me. But that’s only cos we each set up our own expectations, so when they eventually don’t get met obviously it’s going to be a little disappointing

This trailer compared to totk, the environment and the green swirl of Rauru's hand are so much more polished and high quality, it really goes to show how taking long development times truly can polish a game to perfection.

It’s weird how many things didn’t end up being used from this trailer! For example, the thumbnail where we see what is now Rauru’s hand merging with Links arm while in the actual game itself, Link just kinda wakes up in the Room of Awakening with it after being saved by Rauru
I think it would’ve been better to see the arm merge but then again it wouldn’t make sense to the story so

I'm a little disappointed that they eliminated the idea of the right arm power just absorbing into Link's arm, or that they scratched the idea of Link and Zelda traveling the caverns on whatever that giant animal was, however, I do like that they originally made the champion's tunic with the same armor pieces as the original hylian tunic, and in the finished game, they changed it up a bit to make it more interesting to look at.
What made you think it was just absorbing into his arm?

I wish the opening was the same for the game. It seems like they cut out of lot of stuff from this trailer in the intro of the game which is a bummer because this area could’ve been a whole section to play in as the intro to the game instead of them cutting out most of it and basically making it a playable cutscene
You can revisit the are, including the bridge at 0:32.
Its coordinates are -0251, 0726, -1219. Doesn‘t look the same though. All I miss from the final version are the fancy luminous stones and the buffalo (which shows up in the final game as well but somewhere different).
