    I just bought this computer and so far, I am pleased with its performance. The parts review was fine, if not a little rushed for us novices. Thank you

    Just got the 1780 i7 13th gen 1TB version, enjoying it, just getting use to windows 11 after being on windows 10 for a few years.

    A Good overview. I had intended to purchase, to replace my Asus M5A7BL which packed up recently. It was 15 yrs old. Wanted to use the GTX 650 from old machine. The PSU look pretty poor, & doesn't appear to be very upgradeable with limited SATA connectors. I was curious about the two devices mounted on the front chasis, as you pointed out, they are wIfi antenna, Thanks for the information, very useful.

    Strangely, there's a version of the TC-1760-UA92 that comes with a GTX 1660 Super so I wonder if they didn't throw in an adapter to make that work (IDK how they reconciled the power supply). I'm probably gonna just take your advice and get a GTX 1650 in the end to be safe. Had it a couple months, and it's not a bad little computer, but the integrated GPU is pretty rough.

    How reliable are OEM (Acer/Dell/HP) desktop PC's? How many years would you expect this to last for home office work?

    How do you feel about the 11th generation, Intel Core i5-11400
    2.60 GHz RAM S12 GB ih 1 tb HDD and 256 Gb sSD I have an option to buy on auction, sealed, new. What would it be worth paying, please. Also given it comes with two drives, which do you think the OS is on? I would prefer using the bigger drive for storage

    These PC's are basic home office type machines that leave very little expansion capabilities. I tried to encourage an old neighbor to allow me to build them a custom PC when they asked my opinion on a new PC purchase for their grandson. Well I quoted them a price about $100 above what they could get at a big box department store with a GTX 1650 (the only card I could get under $200 at the time) and generous future expansion options. Did they listen to me -- NO! They decided to buy an off-the-shelf HP desktop which basically had a "laptop" motherboard, with proprietary 180w power supply, Intel i3 10th gen and only 4GB RAM. Then they asked me to "upgrade" it so the grandson could game on it; the HP support website indicated the only upgrade they could do was increase the RAM to 8GB and replace the hard drive with a SATA SSD. I just laughed at them and said good luck, unless the grandson only plays Solitaire or light 2D games. I feel sorry for the average consumer buying into the Big Box Stores' selling overpriced crappy computers to the masses.

      @@OKuusava Like I mentioned before; these PC's are good for doing light office work, email, RUclips, streaming, and web surfing. I was trying to emphasize that these are only good for "Limited Gaming" if you add a separate graphics card. I have a mini PC setup in the living room just for guests that want to check their email or stream music to my bluetooth speakers during BBQ parties.

      @@EridanusYT That particular Acer model TC-1760 in the video shows that the power supply is proprietary with custom connectors to the motherboard. There is no slot to adapt/install a standard ATX power supply; also the motherboard doesn't have the standard power connectors for off-the-shelf PSU's. If you want to add a GPU, then go with a card that "doesn't require a separate power connector" - like what he showed in the video: GTX 1050ti or GTX 1650. If you want to purchase and upgrade one of these pre-built brand name PC's, then make sure that they have the capability to upgrade to a standard ATX power supply, RAM, and graphics card.

      @yuan.pingchen3056 Год назад

      if it requires extra 6pin or 8pin power connector, it's impossible, or you can change your power supply, GTX1050TI is not a good gaming card, even it's not an good transcoding card , you should better choose nvidia TU116 or higher for H265 full encoding capability or intel ARC A380 for AV1 encoding.

    No intake fans, no exhaust fans, using a special spec PSU, lack of expansion capabilities, but on the other hand, it has a much worse case design than the Dells, and I don't see any reason to buy this machine. ..

    • @maxmeier532
      @maxmeier532 Год назад +1

      why would you want fans you dont need. this is not a gaming PC. The CPU fan is plenty, and if you wanted you could upgrade it. If you install a gpu, you get a fan there, but as the guy said, you're limited in gfx cards. the design is no worse or better than dell, neither win any prizes for the look. the fact of the matter is, PCs like this are much cheaper. But you must of course judge for yourself if they fit your use case. what is obviously problematic, is the propriety of the parts. but that's the point. you get what you buy, and that's mostly it. If it dont suit you like that, dont buy it thinking you can upgrade it.
