    Looking for the best desktop computer without spending a pretty penny?! Then look no further than the ACER Aspire TC-1760. It's the latest version of their economy desktop that packs a punch!
    This computer is great for both home office, small business, non-profit, and general productivity use! We don't necessarily recommend it to gamers or heavy video editors though it could be used for that in a pinch!

    Would you see any problems with this pc running digital audio workstations like pro tools for the sole purpose of making electronic music that would not involve microphones?

    • @ComputerStuff

      I think it would be ok for that. You may not want to go crazy with editing in huge amounts of effects or filters but as a general audio workstation it should fit the bill no problem!

    Hello, First thanks for this video. I am researching midrange desktop PC's for Windows 11 in the hope of upgrading one with a standard ATX PSU and video card. I have so far looked at the Dell Optiplex 7070, Dell Inspiron 3020 and the Acer T-1760. All good systems but very difficult to upgrade the PSU for a good video card as you pointed out. I currently have a Radeon RX 6400, but I am planning to upgrade to at least a RX 6600.
    I am on fixed budget however it is beginning to appear I may have to build a PC from scratch. That is fine however it has been over a decade since I have done that. It might be more expensive but at least I could buy the parts over the next few months.
    I have ancient Compaq Presario with a Seasonic 520 watt PSU that has only been turned on a few times in the last few years. That old Compaq has three features not found on most modern mid range desktops from what I have seen.
    1. a motherboard that has a 24 pin ATX connector.
    2. A case that easily accepts a standard ATX PSU. I had no trouble upgrading the original 300 watt to the 520 watt Seasonic.
    3. A case fan not found in the Acer T1760.
    I am toying with the idea of using that old case to modernize with maybe a motherboard etc. from one of these systems. On the other hand I may buy new parts to install into that case unless I am forced into buying a new case.
    Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

      Mid range desktop with PSU upgradability - hmm.. some of the Lenovo gaming desktops can do it. ASUS mid range machiens will also allow for PSU upgrade. Have you thought about building your own?

    • @magicvisionz
      @magicvisionz 18 дней назад

      @@ComputerStuff That is the plan using the old case (Compaq Presario) and starting with the 520 watt PSU which later would be upgraded to maybe a 650 watt PSU. I just have no idea what cpu or motherboard to go with for the foundation. The motherboard would have to be 9.6' by 9.6" Micro Tower format.

    Any chance the CPU cooler can be replaced with say a low profile Noctua or is the screw spacing proprietary? My parents across the country picked one up and I at least want to make it quiet for them.

    • @cyphyte
      @cyphyte 10 месяцев назад

      the cooler is the same as my acer nitro n50 640, so yes, you can definitely throw in SOME noctua coolers: Noctua NH-U9S, Noctua NH-D9L, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A9 92mm Fan, Noctua NH-L9x65,
      Noctua NH-C14S 140M Fan, Noctua NH-L12 120MM Fan but note thatt you need an m3 screw kit for them, and dont event think about taking out the old cpu backplate, you need to screw the coolers mounting plates on those holes where the old cpu cooler was, its gonna be a bit difficult, i know.

    So I guess I should've went with the normal 1650 instead of the 1660 Super with a 6 Pin connector for a GPU? Thought I'd be good since it was listed under compatible components and Acer sells TC-1760s with them but think that's only with the power supply on the UA93 or something not the UR11/12 or UA92 -- whatever is standard.
