GilxSullinger 2008 was his second year so he gets a pass for me, but you can't say that he wasn't the best player on that 2010 Finals team and all the way until he got injured in 2013. The could've/what if game is not a real argument. You're right though, he was helped by the big 3 but that's all the more reason why he needs to be on the right team that let's him work.

***** how? their defensive lineups cannot score (looking at tony allen), and the depth of the grizzlies is not enough to get it done. Inside the warriors have two of the best defenders in bogut and green, the twin towers of memphis wouldn't be able to do what they do to most other teams. And with Z-Bo or whoever is playing the 4 having to hedge high and show on pnr because of green being a stretch 4, it'll open up their defense to a spurs like driving and kicking which will lead to open 3's all over.
***** also gsw swept their season series against houston and never looked like losing to them, last time they played klay got 5 blocks on harden IIRC, warriors only threat is the spurs.
Golden Miney Doesn't seem his style, he will probably make a video about the offense of the new coach they choose, probably comparing it to Brooks, but I doubt he will make a video just shitting on Brooks and could never imagine he would defend him.
BBALLBREAKDOWN When everyone was going crazy saying that Rondo would be such an improvement to the Mavs, I told everyone on THE NIGHT OF THE TRADE (Check my account) that the Mavs would be WORSE off because of this trade, that he would be a cancer, and that the Mavs were a better team BEFORE the trade. People can go ahead and call me and "bandwagon" NOW that its being said (Just like how I told everyone Curry is my favorite player, a Superstar and would be a future MVP his rookie year, but now when I say the same thing I'm a "new bandwagon fan") Heck outta here, I've been saying these things
TheAwfulOne Pretty much this. Its like what Shaq and the guys were saying last night. Rondo has been on a tight leash all season. Example. Game one he had 12pts in 2nd qtr then got pulled for almost an entire quarters length after. Dude was a stallion cooped up in a small pin in Dallas.. Game 2 was him biting back at his owners, now hes jumpin the fence to spread his legs. Hopefully he gets a good opportunity elsewhere.
ColdMetalz ppl like you give passes to these players thinking they run shit and pout if things don't go their way. Effort can't be taught and Rondo is a pouting diva.
ralx225b did u watch game 2? rondo is a bitch for quitting, be a man and at least have the balls to tell the coach he didn't want to play. he sabotaged the game by pouting like the bitch he is.
Stat and dirk? Lol, you just seen the defense of dirk and for the past few years with the Knicks you just seen the defense of stat hahahaha...or lack there of lol
As a laker fan, I'm super afraid that they'll make him a stupid offer and he signs on...especially if its long term. Quite honestly I wouldnt even give him anything over 10 mil. He's injury prone, a hot head, demands pretty much to have the ball in his hands and he has ZERO offensive scoring abillities. Doesnt matteri f you're a great passer if it's 4v5.
Plague Doc You put him with a few other offensive threats and let him run the offense and he doesn't need to score or did you forget about Boston from 07-12?
GreenBigTicket Yeah. Meanwhile my lakers have a similar situation except not as many picks. It's basicly core for us to draft well this year or we're fucked.
Plague Doc I heard Rondo's destination this summer is the Lakers, if it ends up being that way, you better hope it isn't with a big contract and also this won't be good for Jordan Clarkson, I think that guy is pretty good and limiting his minutes with sorry ass Rondo is a terrible move, especially for a team in rebuilding mode.
GreenBigTicket Trust me i'm terrified of the lakers overpaying for him. If it's under 10 mil yearly im cool with it, but above that (which it most likely will be) then hell no.Rather get a young guy or two instead.
PG is the first line of defense, and when you have a guy like Rondo that's essentially a liability on offense in the halfcourt not putting any pressure on the ball defensively, he's pretty much worthless.
Albester Ryan Castanares So he's a stat stuffer on a 21-28 team in the West. To my initial point, he's a liability on offense. When you have a PG that shoots 57% from the FT line (just a tick over 60% for his career) that's an issue. Ball's in his hands at the end of a game, and you need to rely on your PG to be able to knock down his foul shots at the end of a close game. There's a reason he's on Sacramento, and not playing for a team that has playoff aspirations. If you're a liability in the halfcourt offensively, then you NEED to be a beast on the defensive end. That part of your game can never be in question unless you're averaging over 20ppg and shooting efficiently - which he's never done.
Albester Ryan Castanares Who said it's about points? Did I say that, or did I point to his inefficiency on the offensive end, specifically regarding foul shooting and halfcourt offense? He's averaging just over 11 assists/game and nearly 12ppg, which is good. But it's on a team that's 21-28. He used to be a leader on an NBA championship team, and then moved to a solid Mavs team where he failed to help them get over the hump - namely on the defensive end since the Mavs are historically woeful on that side of the ball. He is now with a bottom feeder in the West. Cousins is probably the best big in the league, but nobody will touch him because of his attitude. Does no good to be a stat sheet stuffer on a crap team. It's akin to being a big fish in a small dirty pond. But please, keep telling me about his double-doubles with the Kings.
I remember when I said that the Rondo deal would kill this team because they traded away their bench (Crowder and Wright more importantly), also he has no jumpshot and was too ball dominant and I was called an uneducated hater. Mark Cuban thinks having star power automatically makes you better.
BrooklynSailor Easy, the worst record = more balls , more balls = higher chance of getting a higher pick. You can also move down spots if teams get lucky even if your record is worse than theirs.
Rondo is still an amazing point guard regardless. He just didn't click with the team and that's alright. We'll hopefully see good things outta him soon.
No way Rondo plays for Mavs next year...another failed attempt by the Mavericks to accumulate more star power rather than just sticking with the team they already had. Would've been better off with Nelson, Crowder, and Wright. This is the same thing they tried to do in 2011 after winning the title
***** True, but I was honestly iffy about it when the trade first happened. Especially because of Wright, they gave up depth at big doing that...and I knew Nelson would fit in their offense much better than Rondo would
***** Rondo is still the old Rondo. He's just not playing in a situation which fully utilizes his talents.Plus his attitude is pretty much the same as it always has been.Starts acting silly he isn't being pampered.
I think after the 11' finals win the whole Mavs organization said "eehhhhh lets just have an off year." I honestly think they didn't care if they made the playoffs or not that year.
only thing is at 3:45 in the defensive possession after the 8 second call, they were in a zone and that spot was ellis', unless monta explicitly told rondo to switch spots, that wasn't his fault. just a giant miscommunication
rondo is not getting a max contract. the dude came into this season thinking that just because he was an Allstar and former top 5 PG in the league, he would automatically get a max contract. he didn't care, he didn't show the effort this year. he basically played himself. You don't get a max contract based off of your performance from five years ago Rajon. you ruined your chances at millions of bucks #thatstheanswer
Rondo was not the same player like he was back in 2012. Anyone remember how great Rondo was back then? especially the 2012 playoffs? But arguably Rondo can still play great basketball. He just never wanted to play in Dallas.
0:40 "I discover a couple things here on the defensive end that I think cause the rockets last night and ultimately doomed his relationship with the mavs" What does that mean?
People say Rondo should go to the Lakers, but wont that create the same problems? He and Kobe are both ball-dominant. I suggest getting a very good spot-up or Catch and shoot player.
Video on Scott Brooks being fired and possible replacements? I hear Billy Donovan and Kevin Ollie as contenders for he spot but I'm wondering if there's anyone you think can take them to the next level.
Love your channel. However, Rondo being non-chalant when Harden is coming up slowly in the backcourt is meaningless. He gets ready to D up once Harden passes the half court line. In a perfect world you want your players giving 100% effort at all times, but that is not realistic or sensible. Every athlete should maintain balance and get rest when it makes sense and give maximum effort when it makes sense. Considering how Harden and other stars are able at times to get calls on plays they shouldn't, for Rondo to pressure in the backcourt doesn't seem like something to get upset about. Pretty sure McHale isn't going to bench Harden if he doesn't pressure the ball-handler every time they walk slowly from the backcourt. I certainly could be way off base. Love your channel. Please keep it up!
So, if the Mavs lose this series, I think coach Carleslie will blame Rondo for his lack of defense he shown, not boxing out, not covering a shooter, not putting a pressure on his man, instead just standing up and backing down. Mavs owner Mark Cuban should think about this.
I think for Rondo's case, he should be realizing that he is no longer playing for Doc Rivers, he's now with coach Carleslie and his teammates are not Kevin Garnett, nor Paul Pierce, not even Ray Allen. And I think also he has to control his emotions he's feeling right now because that hurts the team a lot and they will need him more than anything else. We all knew that Rondo is an offensive minded, a triple-double machine and loves the Playoff pressure but right now he is not currently in that form right now. He needs to find his way to get out of this hole and get back into his old form again.
I have a strong feeling the Lakers will get him, which I'm not too thrilled about. If we keep our top 5 pick and end up drafting Russell or Mudiay it's going to be even worse. If we do get him, no more than annually $10M please. If he wants more, say too bad, find another team, he's not worth more than that. As a Lakers fan, our front office is hit or miss basically, and it scares me. Just hope Mitch Kupchak can make some smart decisions to give us fans some reassurance that this team is in good hands.
Why is everybody mad at JUST rondo? dirk is killing the mavs with his poor defense and not good ofense. Stoudmire is trash. Monta ellis when he is hot he is the best SG in the league, but when he is cold he is the worst.. cause he doesn´t pass the ball NO WAY, shoot his way out of it....
GAME 3 is going to be interesting since Rondo might not play do to "back problems", the thing that confuses me is that in 2011 it was publicly know that Carlisle would let Kidd run the offense his way only if he played good defense so why not the same with Rondo?
I mean he's a player that needs freedom to succeed and if you look at the ratings in general he's made the team better defensively, I just hope he can make some sort of effort and the Mavs can take the Rockets to at least 7
Atdiw Rondo is not and most likely will never be a point guard to the caliber of Jason Kidd, by the time Kidd cam to the Mavs he's been the TOP player in the highest moments unlike Rondo who was playing behind the Boston Big 3 but I still have faith in Rondo's ability to lead and grow as a player.
Honestly Rondo blew up in the perfect situation with the Celtics...I never bought the hype around him I thought he was the fourth best player on the Celtics when they had the big 3 and I don't see him fitting anywhere as a starting point guard. His inability to knock down shots and the fact that he is a horrible teammate and uncoachable are the reasons I don't think he's worth more than 6 million a year. If he changes his attitude can help a team off the bench. However it's tough to watch a guy carry himself like that and harp on a team's success like he did with the Mavs. I watched this team get significantly worse after the Rondo acquisition and it's a shame they fell for the hype about the guy.
Well Rondo played fine for Doc Rivers and Brad Stevens so maybe a lil bit of blame should go to the coach, he knew what player he was getting in that trade.
dirk has been my fav player since I began following basketball during the lakers 3 peat in the early 2000s, so I don't say this lightly, he needs to retire now after this series, could get swept, could have some magic left at the end of games but he simply cant play D or keep up anymore, time to rebuild
If Houston is too big for Dallas on the paint imagine what Memphis would do to them? Tyson has no chance alone there, Dirk is a minus one, they desperately need to improve their paint and Monta is not good enough to be your go to guy in a western playoff. I'm not a Dallas fan but if I was Cuban probably wouldn't resign Monta too.
The Mavs are struggling not just because of Rondo's attitude. Like Coach said, Dirk is just too slow and horrible of a defender. Monta is just chucking shots after shots. On coaching, Carlisle doesn't play Amare and Chandler together enough but plays Dirk and Amare instead. And on team management, Cuban was too impulsive on getting a PG when Dragic, Isiah Thomas, MCW, Brandon Knight and Reggie Jackson got available before the trade deadline.
The game has changed so much since Rondo was relevant 3 years ago (before his achilles injury). It's all about quick offensive, moving the ball, creating space, and shooting 3's now. Rondo is outdated. In order for him to be successful, he has to have the ball at all times and create plays. Dallas is trying to modernize with the game and Rondo is not the answer. In fact, I don't think he will be a fit on any NBA team unless he learns to shot and plays the game the way it is today (Spurs' offense, Golden State's offense, Atlanta Hawks, etc.).
MR DIMES Not according to analyst. And yes, I've watch this game change to a more motion offense than a point guard dominated 'penetrate and dish' game. All point guards have range now.
DerkuiDerkui Rondo is a legit star in the NBA when he wants to be to be. obviously his short stinit with dallas was due to bad coaching and less effort.
DerkuiDerkui You've hit the nail right on the head. The NBA has indeed changed a lot over the past several years. Its becoming much more 3 point shooting orientated than it was when the Big 3 era was around in Boston. It also doesn't help that Rondo has had so many injuries since the start of 2013. I think his time as an NBA player might be over. He needs to completely revamp himself as a player if he even wants to play serious ball again.
6:39 Josh Smith showed extremely poor fundamentals, like many NBA players now. Look at him shuffle his feet after he caught the ball. This happens so often with different players and the refs don't seem to catch those.
I lost all my respect to him. He just destroys any rythm the Mavs get. I mean if you don't want to play just say it not act as a dumb childish unprofessional. Feel bad for my Mavs I knew this was a bad trade from the beggining. Another brilliant idea by Cuban.
Rondo lost my respect after that lack of performance. And I'm sure his trade stock went downhill too. No coach wants that kind of attitude on a team especially a playoff one. Hopefully he gets it together next year.
harden is dirty, a flopper and the refs would let him get away with murder on the court. I think Rondo finally lost it, sometimes as a viewer i just turn the game off. That's probably want happened to Rondo, the NBA really is a joke. Worst officiating of any sport in the world.
Basement Network When is the last time you saw an 8 second call ESPECIALLY in mid quarter in the first half? OF COURSE they were taken aback! The 8 second call definitively showed me that the officials ARE backing the rockets. I guess they think there is more commercial power in a win for the beard than the Mavs... and they're right. The NBA don't want their MVP race to end in the first round. It's not the first time the refs have been crooked.
It's just sad. I always thought Mavericks are gonna be the dark horse to win the title when they acquired Rondo at the middle of the season. Does he not fit in because of his play style? I don't get how he averages double figure assists in Boston but he failed to do so with the Mavericks.
Rondo has always been overrated under the notional perspective of the production-usage proportionality; he simply is not productionally effective enough for someone with such an obscene usage rating, and much of that has to do with his inability to be an effective scorer. Look at Rondo's comparative on- and off-court metrics on basketball-reference; it substantiates that his teams perform better BOTH offensively and defensively when he is sidelined--atypical of the impact a supposed All-Star is expected to bring to the table. Had Rondo been absent, I would wage--if I was a betting man, of couse--that this series would've been much more competitive from the outset, as is supported by how much better they've performed with him off the court--albeit, compounded by home-court advantage as well. If the Lakers sign him to the max-contract deal that he's covetous of, I will have another long season to dread for my team...
When I saw the news of Rondo not getting bonus money I just literally laughed. 208,940 in total for the whole team. That's less than 20000 for each player. I guess he really cares about it lol.
Rondo has to pressure his man instead of standing and backing up, waiting for a non-existing screen. Come on, Where is the Rondo that was a very good defender? Where is the Rondo that can pick pockets a lot? His maturity needs to be improved a lot better. He came over to Dallas from Boston to become title contenders again but what's happening right now, he's been atrocious. Maybe next season he will improve in a lot of mistakes he had in Games 1 & 2.
It was a close game because the Rockets are a bad team. It only got out of hand when Harden Sat on the bench so Josh Smith and Dwight could take advantage. I see at least a 5 game series.
I said it when the Mavericks & Celtics made the Rondo trade that the Celtics would win the trade. Had they not made that trade they would still have a about the same rated PG rotation as they do now, and would also have Brendan Wright coming in behind Tyson Chandler. The Mavericks loss. I would blame this on Mark Cuban as well. He isn't a good talent evaluator . He's too offensive minded.
That 8 second call is inexcusable. It's one thing to not fit into a system. Or even to have your skills drop over time. It's another to have a terrible attitude and sabotage your own team like that.
It's not all Rondo's fault. I presume half of the problem is on Carlisle. Why Rondo happenes to be in the 3-point corner? You clearly showed that he can't be there. And it's a coach job to fit a player, maybe change a set a little. At least make him make screens and not stupidly stand in the corner.
Rondo isn't the same player... Couple with the fact he players on a team where players are ineffective without the ball. You get the current result.. Monta Ellis taking 25 to 30 SHOTS a night while Dirk just watches is a abomination.... Monta hasn't been creating opportunities for others either being that he is ball dominant either.. The teams is all wrong with the starters..
SDS Overfiend They kinda need someone jack up shots. Ever since Rondo came in, Monta had the need to jack up shots to "get his". Early in the season, Carlisle did a great job of utilizing Monta and Dirk, putting Dirk at the top of the key and having Monta slashing and gravitating offenses away from Dirk. Plus, Monta-Dirk pick and roll is savage. In crunch time, Monta Iso from the top or wings looking to slash or Dirk high post are reliable with Parsons on the spot-up. Ol' Cuban and Company got greedy. But hey, mistakes are mistakes. As a Dubs fan, I have high regard for Monta and do believe he's one of the most slept on players in the league. Rondo just killed Carlisle's system.
***** Understandable... Team wasn't championship caliber anyway.... Rondo is just a bad fit.. Funny thing.. I seen plenty of screen and roll opportunities with Ellis and "Chandelier" and Ellis opts for the floater or the jumpshot.. No way in hell with the attention he commands should he be that much of a volume shooter.. He isn't slept on.. People know what he about... He just gets tunnel vision on this crapshoot of a team
SDS Overfiend It's not like they weren't championship caliber, but they won games by scoring, Don Nelson style. I know Ellis is a very volume player, but some teams need that because they know that their shot will come. He's not really selfish because he does look to pass as well as shoot, but I think Ellis needed to trust Parsons more when it come downs to it. The swiss army knife Parsons has had a down year due to injuries. But I think Carlisle can always improve the defense. Regardless, the Mavs players do in effort. Ellis might be an average defender to okay at his best, but he still puts up the work. Same with Parsons and Tyson Chandler and etc... Rondo put some heat, and Dirk is just on his last legs. Nothing you can expect from him defensively. Hopefully they ditch Rondo and get a good draft pick some a defensive stopper at the guard position.
***** Word. I have my faith in Dallas cuz Monteezy will always have heart. Lol #webelieve. But you made a great point with Avery Bradley. In fact, even Marcus Smart can be of service, since Isaiah Thomas can carry Boston's scoring load. I do hope Cuban keeps Carlisle and get rid of Rondo. Boy needs to find the system for him... And also shoot 10-15 footers cuz that dude has no shot. Rondo can make Dwight look like Stephen Curry on occasions.
***** Yeah pretty much on point.. You know your stuff.. Rondo doesn't fit with that Team not to say he is finished or anything but he needs to go. They could use a PG who could distribute and hit the midrange consistently... Not fair to Ellis to be burning himself out though trying to carry the whole team.
Great coverage, coach!
Your love for basketball is infectious :)
Thx so much!! These games are crazy, aren't they???
+BBALLBREAKDOWN they,were
Anyone still think Rondo is a max contract player? Didn't think so...
Ill kill myself if the knicks sign him
James Dolan nah rondos going to the lakers i think
Kevin Lam Yeah he is. Sorry you're feelings are hurt, you must be a Mavericks fan.
I gotta give it to Rick Carsisle for his patience!
Hes not a max contract guy anymore. Defense has fallen, can't shoot, shitty attitude.
Rick Carlisle wants Rondo to be more offensive-minded... Corey Vaughn-Patterson No. That means he would stop doing RUclips.
LeBeautiful i know i just enjoy shouting it out.

Corey Vaughn-Patterson he can coach westbrook now after brooks got fired

Dana White Definitely love to see if they hire Donovan from Florida!
It's like when we traded Perkins. I miss him but know it's best for the team.
Golden Miney No I think He's going to prep his resume.
Golden Miney Judging by every OKC breakdown, Coach Nick agrees with the decision to fire Brooks

James Dolan Reminds you of Melo and Stat on the floor together, right Dolan? lol
You are the cancer to the knicks
Gmac Phil Jackson will probably pull all his white hairs out if Dolan interferes with him.
Stat and dirk? Lol, you just seen the defense of dirk and for the past few years with the Knicks you just seen the defense of stat hahahaha...or lack there of lol

this is his first season back from injury and hes spent half of that time on a team who couldn't utilize his talents
Great post,coach!
Thx! #ImIn
Man I feel bad for Coach Carlisle.
Aren't you getting tired covering all these playoff games while keeping up the quality of these videos? Kudos. #ImIn
Thanks for the picks and for Jae Crowder, Mark Cuban.
GreenBigTicket Yeah...and you guys have a shit ton of picks in the future aswell.
Plague Doc and cap space
+SFO14 he is actually an elite point guard defender
MrChrisswaggin What makes his defense elite?
+SFO14 rondo is a 4x ALL DEFENSIVE TEAM
I gotta say this is the best hands down commentary bball thanks coach
ooooooo.. i never watched this series. but that Josh Smith and Dwight Howard Combo is so good!!
Atlanta connection
I remember when I said that the Rondo deal would kill this team because they traded away their bench (Crowder and Wright more importantly), also he has no jumpshot and was too ball dominant and I was called an uneducated hater.
Mark Cuban thinks having star power automatically makes you better.
CavsNationSinceMMXIV says the Cavs fan...whose team has a loaded 5 but no bench
th3trueking Am I the owner or GM of the Cavs?
Can you do a video explaining how the draft lottery works? Also maybe the draft overall?
BrooklynSailor Easy, the worst record = more balls , more balls = higher chance of getting a higher pick. You can also move down spots if teams get lucky even if your record is worse than theirs.
Who do you see the Thunder hiring to replace Scott Brooks?
Also, does Scott Brooks firing hurt their chances at keeping KD?
Rondo was always a douchebag when he didn't get his way. Doc Rivers told everyone this basically. Max contract? Hell to the no.
3:30... dissection... that was a thorough explanation
When the Mavs were killing it at the beginning of the season I was concerned to why they traded for Rondo, but I didn't think this would happen...
Rondo is still an amazing point guard regardless. He just didn't click with the team and that's alright. We'll hopefully see good things outta him soon.
I remember watching this game last season .. Great video
Harden: "I don't try to draw fouls" HAHA funny
Coach how do you think this series would be going if the mavs had kept wright Nelson and crowder?
The Mavs would be MUCH better off.
***** he was pretty bad but at least he wasn't a complete detriment to the team like rondo is
only thing is at 3:45 in the defensive possession after the 8 second call, they were in a zone and that spot was ellis', unless monta explicitly told rondo to switch spots, that wasn't his fault. just a giant miscommunication
And the Lakers are willing to let walk a hard working guy that can produce like Jeremy Lin in the name of Rondo. Good luck if that goes down LA.
Boo Taylor I rather have a guy that looks nervous but can average a double double than have a confident looking guy who struggles
deomartinez77 id rather have rondo in a heart beat over pathetic lin.
deomartinez77 lakers love dem free agent stars like Charlie sheen loves cocaine
deomartinez77 im takin rondo over lin any day...
deomartinez77 and one more thing lin cant average a double double...
We need a video comparing and contrasting the true differences between the East and West Conf. and why they are that way.
BBALLBREAKDOWN Coach Nick, is that wallpaper or have you just gone nuts with old school pics?
Big Game James
The power outlet is over them so it's wallpaper.
rondo is not getting a max contract. the dude came into this season thinking that just because he was an Allstar and former top 5 PG in the league, he would automatically get a max contract. he didn't care, he didn't show the effort this year. he basically played himself.
You don't get a max contract based off of your performance from five years ago Rajon. you ruined your chances at millions of bucks
#thatstheanswer
There are some lingering logos from the previous video at 0:22.
Rondo was not the same player like he was back in 2012. Anyone remember how great Rondo was back then? especially the 2012 playoffs? But arguably Rondo can still play great basketball. He just never wanted to play in Dallas.
I MISS JOSH SMITH & DWIGHT HOWARD PLAYING TOGETHER
Ima houston rocket fan but I'd like to know how this dwight and josh tandem would match up against draymond green and andrew bogut
Why'd you put the pelicans and gsw logos at the start lol
0:40 "I discover a couple things here on the defensive end that I think cause the rockets last night and ultimately doomed his relationship with the mavs" What does that mean?
盧曉天 cause the rockets last night?
When he wouldn't pick up Harden in the back court, openly defied the coach. This, IMO was what upset Carlisle so much.
Great explanations !
Ever since Doc left Boston Rondo has been a different player than he was beforehand, even when healthy.
Coach you are spot-on with Dirk's inability to defend. He looks miserable out there defensively, can't stand in front of anyone.
So, if the Mavs lose this series, I think coach Carleslie will blame Rondo for his lack of defense he shown, not boxing out, not covering a shooter, not putting a pressure on his man, instead just standing up and backing down. Mavs owner Mark Cuban should think about this.
1:55 damn how many steps did he take?
Very unprofessional. Never got any respect from Rondo after his stint in Dallas.
What's rondos best fit for next season?
A knick or a Laker I think LA tho
King Junior Indiana
Knicks are a bad for for rondo. He can't shoot which almost makes him a bad fit everywhere
LJT2424 he'd have to score to be on those teams and I don't think he can do that consistently
d-league, he destroyed a championship caliber mavs team
Great job
Hey coach, do you watch Euroleague games sometimes ?
Sometimes I'll watch the championships. Is there a big game coming up?
Well playoffs just finished so right now we have to wait till may 15th and it will be the final four :)
thanks for letting me know what you think..
The Rockets were looking like the Clippers with all those alley-oops.
Just hope Mitch Kupchak can make some smart decisions to give us fans some reassurance that this team is in good hands.
coach, u think rondo wld fit in byron scott's offense, defense, and coaching style?
I'd rather see Jordan Clarkson get all those minutes.
0:23 shoutouts to coach nick botching up the team logos like it's the 2014 playoffs all over again :D
Lol at the Mavs bench at 1:53
Why is everybody mad at JUST rondo? dirk is killing the mavs with his poor defense and not good ofense. Stoudmire is trash. Monta ellis when he is hot he is the best SG in the league, but when he is cold he is the worst.. cause he doesn´t pass the ball NO WAY, shoot his way out of it....
I'll be very surprised if i don't see Rondo in L.A. Lakers uniform next season
GAME 3 is going to be interesting since Rondo might not play do to "back problems", the thing that confuses me is that in 2011 it was publicly know that Carlisle would let Kidd run the offense his way only if he played good defense so why not the same with Rondo?
Because he's sucked on defense too
I mean he's a player that needs freedom to succeed and if you look at the ratings in general he's made the team better defensively, I just hope he can make some sort of effort and the Mavs can take the Rockets to at least 7
The graphic on the t-shirt got me smiling
You know who it is, right?
BBALLBREAKDOWN The big O, right?
0:25 coach the wrong logos strike again lol
Rondo should be done with basketball period
damn your comment looks stupid now
Mavs were so good before the trade, why did they trade for him? Brandon wright and Nelson were doing pretty good
That trade wasted a season of the Mavs ageing vets' career
The Mavs are struggling not just because of Rondo's attitude. Like Coach said, Dirk is just too slow and horrible of a defender. Monta is just chucking shots after shots. On coaching, Carlisle doesn't play Amare and Chandler together enough but plays Dirk and Amare instead. And on team management, Cuban was too impulsive on getting a PG when Dragic, Isiah Thomas, MCW, Brandon Knight and Reggie Jackson got available before the trade deadline.
LOL ". . . against the most notorious instigator of fouls the league has ever seen." I like it.
DerkuiDerkui loooool tf u sound dumb. the game did not change in 3 fucking years
MR DIMES
Not according to analyst. And yes, I've watch this game change to a more motion offense than a point guard dominated 'penetrate and dish' game. All point guards have range now.
DerkuiDerkui
Rondo is a legit star in the NBA when he wants to be to be. obviously his short stinit with dallas was due to bad coaching and less effort.
Great vid damn
4:44 Monta Iverson cut?
Ya thats an iverson cut
Lmao gag reel
And Carlisle is a little bitch let the smartest guy just run everything and you would win.
Rondo and Love to Lakers? Bass or Melo good enough to fill void left?
6:39 Josh Smith showed extremely poor fundamentals, like many NBA players now. Look at him shuffle his feet after he caught the ball. This happens so often with different players and the refs don't seem to catch those.
I lost all my respect to him. He just destroys any rythm the Mavs get. I mean if you don't want to play just say it not act as a dumb childish unprofessional. Feel bad for my Mavs I knew this was a bad trade from the beggining. Another brilliant idea by Cuban.
I'm not even a Mavs fan and i thought that
Rondo would have been a good fit with the Mavericks.
1:50 I couldn't focus on anything but the mavs bench
Rondo lost my respect after that lack of performance. And I'm sure his trade stock went downhill too. No coach wants that kind of attitude on a team especially a playoff one. Hopefully he gets it together next year.
harden is dirty, a flopper and the refs would let him get away with murder on the court. I think Rondo finally lost it, sometimes as a viewer i just turn the game off. That's probably want happened to Rondo, the NBA really is a joke. Worst officiating of any sport in the world.
Juanito Alimaña Nobody flops more than JJ Barea though...
Corey BrewGod
harden does.
You mad huh
Basement Network When is the last time you saw an 8 second call ESPECIALLY in mid quarter in the first half? OF COURSE they were taken aback! The 8 second call definitively showed me that the officials ARE backing the rockets. I guess they think there is more commercial power in a win for the beard than the Mavs... and they're right. The NBA don't want their MVP race to end in the first round. It's not the first time the refs have been crooked.
***** ok?
I need a dictionary
very well done coach!
Thanks! #ImIn
Carliste is too embarrassed to put Dirk on the bench and limit his playing time, but he should. He couldn't guard my grandma and she's dead.
When I saw the news of Rondo not getting bonus money I just literally laughed. 208,940 in total for the whole team. That's less than 20000 for each player. I guess he really cares about it lol.
+Stephen Chan dirk said rondo never cared about the check lol...
No problem, we good now
Laker fans, I hope your happy with what you just saw. Because Rondo is signing a max contract with the Lakers this summer.
Gmac God I hope not, he doesn't deserve max money after that
Jonathan Martinez
After that performance he probably wont get the max but Rondo to the Lakers is probably inevitable.
Coach Nick put your hand up for Thunder Head coach! You in?
I knew right away when Rondo got traded, that its going to be like this
Rondo has to pressure his man instead of standing and backing up, waiting for a non-existing screen.
Same with the nets trade
Who knew Josh Smith can throw dimes like that?!
We all know that Dirk has never been a great defender but that was just so sad to watch...
