I always loved watching Rondo play... He was different, built different. Ppl dared him to shoot but once he got some confidence he was a force! Great fantastic passer, great defender, and play maker. What he lacked in outside shooting he made up for with "Moxie" so to speak.
I remember the first time he ever played a pre season game for the Celtics, his rookie year. Watching it on TV, I believe they were at the Hartford Civic center... And even Tommy Heinsohn immediately began praising the IQ and speed Rondo showcased.
Unfortunately, I was unable to follow Rondo's career after he left the Celtics... Being that I didn't have league pass or the time to watch it if I did.
But this is a cool lil interview and I'm glad to hear Rajon tryna get into that coaching role eventually. Doc always pushed R.R. to be his best... I'm sure 'Jon will make an impact on whoever he is coaching.
He was always kinda quiet as a player, but that just means his mind stays busy... Processing... Turning them gears inside his brain! ⚙️⚙️⚙️

And had they both shot 3s better who knows... stubbornness can be a blessing or a curse. But you better be right when stubborn and have the power not to be overruled. Sometimes the thing you are stubborn about needs an elders long view guidance. That's the problem with young men with limited experience they don't get the big picture or won't get out of their comfort zone.

Bra I watched that game were rondo just quit on the team lmao he was fouling LITERALLY every defensive play. I could tell it was smoke because he wouldn't call timeout he let it happened.

zero videos on the World Cup....as if the sport played outside the US isn't basketball. No wonder why Americans are surprised newcomers international players winning their MVPs.

Lol he sat in an empty court-side seat during a timeout with the Lakers which was clearly the body language that got Luke Walton fired.😂

@@whatudoin1those bulls team would’ve made it far with rondo if not for injuries and the kings quite literally just suck and he was having good statistically season with them too.

@@Nick-sr4fe don´t fall for stats . Rondo could have had 10 assists in a quarter in any game. That Bulls team had Rondo vs Buttler vs Wade .In Sacramento he could have got a long suspension for something he did ,despite stats he wasnt focused at all. Players like him should be in sync with coaches and not fight them. He seemed more mature later ,that´s why he might be a great coach in the future
