What TF happened to Black Pop Groups 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 we haven't had a mega Pop group since Destiny's Child in the 2000s. Now thr music industry have all these K Pop groups that have to appropriate Blackness to sell records and to stay commercially and culturally relevant 😑😑😑😑😑 I'm waiting for Flo to make it big.

I ain't sweating it. R&B groups had levels from jodeci to hi - five to abc to immature to guy to h Town t white head brothers to guy. There weren't so much ad mainstream but they were known kinda like a pass mainstream was BTM and jodeci had a come up. I just hope K pop doesn't have a group do a cover of a classic r&b tune and have fans think it's theirs

I hate that really talented people often get stifled by being put in a group of people who aren't equally talented as them. I'm glad Usher made it, along with Ne-yo, but Normani, Tinashe, Sevyn, and Kehlani definitely should be bigger names and deserve all of the success!!!!

I haven't heard of Mista in FOREVER!!!! Omg. I've got to go listen to "Blackberry Molasses" now. "Virginity" was definitely an inappropriate title for a debut song and I don't feel like that did them any favors as an introduction to the world, although the song itself was moderately hot! (I actually played it two days ago lol) I never knew Left Eye hosted a show. Man, there are STILL so many gems to be discovered from the 1990s decade! It was just a time to be alive and I oftentimes wish I was older so I could have experienced it in its entirety.

I think the issue was that they had too much of the sound that wasn’t a stand out song or common used sound at the time. Rich Harrison had ALREADY heavily worked and used a similar sound with DC, Beyoncé solo stuff AND Amerie, of course.
