Thank you once again James for an interesting video again. It is so unbelievable what is so near. I love the sound of running water & how beautiful it is clear & fresh & also polluted free. Thank you James
Fantastic film, as always thanks for showing something so beautiful, imagine there is a great feeling of closeness with the Earth there. Another place to add to what I call my ‘James walks’ visits.
Thanks James for another interesting hidden history location . Best time to visit them places winter. You can bet summer time in there plenty of mosques and maybe horsefly. 2 insects I can't stand. Had some nasty reactions from horseflys , always carry a can of jungle formula spray now had a bite free year 2024 😂🤣💪 14th century with fresh running water hidden by nature great find James 👌👍👍
A great hidden part of Wiltshire history-Ideal in the Winter as you quite correctly state in the Summer too many nettles and flies -Thank you for watching Tony ⭐

Thank you Joe for watching my small adventure in history-I find most of my areas and historical wonders on old maps-You may find some interest in the USA using these-Once again a big thank you for watching ⭐⭐
Hi James, what a jem!! That water was crystal clear. No danger of it ever running dry I think!! Must be great to take refuge there on a hot summer's day. Thanks for taking us there All the best!!
Hi David-In the Summer all full of weeds and nettles , you are stung and cut all over before you get to that fresh drinkable water-A great place to visit in the Winter-Thank you for watching my friend ⭐👍
It's nice to see it's hidden away and free from vandalism, a rare thing nowadays, let's hope it stays that way now it's been advertised, some things are best kept a secret James, there are far too many dubious characters about.
Hi I think there are no worries on that front as my channel is so niche -I have a group of well educated watchers and loyal subscribers -Looking at the age of my watchers 90% are over or around my age 65-Plus I do not obtain the big views that the large channels do-I agree totally with your comment if I get bigger, which is unlikely I will review provided locations-Strange thing that is more of a concern ,is that large channels sometimes bottom feed off of our smaller channels for content -To obtain views and the rewards that come from that-I am not monetised and only want to share historical interest-Thank you for watching my friend ⭐
Because of your videos I found this beauty well. Sad to see the area overgrown again as I think in the Summer or last year they cleared back the weeds etc. But it is a wondeful hidden gem. Lots of old pottery and ink pots in the soil and stream too.
I think because pre Christian religions dedicated springs to water gods and goddesses, like the Roman goddess Sulis. The Christian faith then took this belief over but ditched the pagan gods and rebranded the wells as Christian holy wells.
Due I am sure to the connection with the Priory-Also the comment from @jb below makes sense-Thank you for watching my small adventure in history and your thought provoking comment ⭐⭐

Thank you Penny-This is a true hidden historical gem
Thats amazing. Yes I would agree it is truly incredible. Lovely fresh and clean water too. They should bottle it:)
I hope they do not set up a water bottling facility there with the traffic both human and vehicular it would bring. Some places are best kept secret.
