    Hi James, amazing collection of buildings and memorials in such a small place.
    He was really prolific, according to wiki there is an area of New Delhi named after him and the works that he did there.
    Imagine waiting for a bus in a Lutyens shelter, royalty!!

      Hi David-Thank you for watching -all of these wonders within half a mile in total-Yes Luytens was well travelled with many influencial friends ,made a name for himself in India -To have so much in a small village is incredible !

    Lovely video, thank you. I have been there a few times and didn't know any of that. There was a nice little café opposite the shelter near the picnic tables.

      Thank you Roland -So much history in Mells this is just a small chunk on one man and his legacy -Your video provides a fantastic feel of the village the main benefit of this village , it is not controlled by the National Trust hence retaining a true village feeling

    The nursery rhyme Little Jack Horner originates from Mells. I haven't been there for some years but I always remember the enormity of the Yews in the Church yard.
