@@Chris-ks4swI agree! I would be taking my time especially when I start because I need to be aware of what to look for. I blame the game for most of their failures here. I'm also not sure what goes into creating a game, but I can't imagine it'd be that difficult to fix that to be fair to the players.

This is my biggest gripe with this game - it’s a great game and concept, but it’s not appropriate or appealing for huge swaths of people because of the nudity and sexual undertones, which in my opinion, don’t contribute to the game at all.
In one of the games there is a guy who hangs himself and some chick deep throating a dude. This series of games & the all the spinoffs are while the more you progress.

If you get to the mid-late periods of the game, probably around 3AM to 5AM, some ghosts, intruders, and weirdos come out. It's a wild ride during that point.

I was gonna say, especially because in the video, when the clock hit 00:50 in the top corner, they got the "too many anomalies" warning. Like, things start changing IMMEDIATELY and you don't get a chance to see how the rooms normally are.
I haven’t played this myself, so what is the best strategy? How can you tell if something is missing or changed or whatever if you can’t take the beginning to see what “normal” looks like?

I just realized it would be fun as fuck to see these two try to play 'keep talking and nobody explodes'.
The frustrating thing about this game is if something is outside, you have to file it as outside, no matter what room you're in when you see it. So if you are in the kitchen but see an abyss presence out the window, you have to file it as "outside" or it'll be rejected. The game could use a tutorial, really. Very cool concept though, once you get the hang of it. The later games do some interesting things too.
Listing it as outside makes sense though, since that's where the entity/activity is occuring 🤷♀️

I only noticed a few days ago that they change that opening caption for every video!! My favorite so far said something like "the apathetic shutter of Shane's camera as Ryan screams for his life"
there was one once about watching the new ghost files episode (i’m pretty sure it was ghost files) thanking people for taking time out of listening to Taylor Swifts new album 😭
Someone wrote in the comments of a Puppet History video that they write the captions themselves in case the automated ones are wrong. I'm not good with technology so I'm not sure how they go about doing that, but I've always kept subtitles on when viewing their videos because of gems like that. 😄

anomalies i found at 16:54:
- some of the 'tic-tacs' in the bedroom were missing
- a glass on the kitchen table moved (this one is an asshole to notice bc its so small and u really only notice it if you were in the room while it moved)
anomalies i found at 24:12:
- the abyss presence in the kitchen was supposed to be filed for outside
- the building outside from the kitchen camera had also moved
anomalies i found at 30:36:
- the guitar in the bedroom moved
- the painting in the bedroom changed slightly at the very end
- the ghost that was outside was actually just a mannequin part, so it should have been filed as an extra object
- there was a clear orb thingy in the bathroom beside the painting that can be filed as an extra object
i cant find the others so if anyone else finds them lemme know!!

(Also!! 23:38, if you happen to read this, that's an abyss presence, yes, but this game is very specific. It's an abyss presence outside, not in the kitchen! It just shows in the window. It's like this for many places. Some rooms, like the living room and kitchen in the old house, are directly connected, so an anomaly that occurs in the kitchen may be shown on the living room camera, but it's not in the living room. It's in the kitchen, and it won't report if it's reported as living room, even if you see it from the living room camera.)
Also, this game can be a bit scary.
It's moreso trying to scare you by making you question your sanity, but it (usually) spices things up with intruders(and even a particular anomaly that'd be up close to the camera and everything when you least expect it). Those things are creepy(in most cases) and some, if not, most, even jumpscare, if you don't report them in time. I'm actually surprised you haven't gotten any of those. But then again, sometimes they show up later in the game. But that doesn't mean they don't show up earlier. It's random.

Come in with low expectations of them mostly goofing off, and you won't be so hard on yourself when they do exactly what you expect them to do. :)

ryan's point about security guards missing stuff on security cameras makes so much sense though. when we hear a story about something on the news we're always like "how could the guard have missed that?" but we tend to forget that the guard has spent the previous 5 hours looking at nothing

I am so happy about this series. I can't play FPV Horror games cause of simulator sickness, but watching this lets me have the experience. I can focus on Ryan and Shane so I don't get nauseated.
I really love the vibes of Shane and Ryan being two night watchmen, shooting the shit and keeping each other awake. (Though I guess that's their in-person job for Ghost Files anyway. Observation Duty is like post-pandemic ghost hunting, remotely over Zoom :p) Hope they do much more of this. (The later games get less janky about its controls and classifications)
I'm surprised how chill their anomalies were. I've seen real creepy shit happen in this game, and all they got was a bitmoji painting and a kettle bell ghost lmao.
