This is their worst 'survival mode' yet, they were bored out of their minds for more than half of the video.

Ryan deciding to tell Shane that his place was broken into 2 weeks after it happened while they are playing a spooky video game is so chaotic I'm here for it.
shane getting a chance to play and IMMEDIATELY stopping to laugh at the urinal graffiti and admire the design on the hallway walls when he's just spent 20 minutes watching ryan repeatedly die despite his best efforts to outrun these monsters. he's here for a good time, not a long time

The game would have been better if you could see where the monkeys are on the mini-map. There is no strategy of you are just blindly running around.
Also Ryan's stone cold face when he gets into full gamer mode is so delightful.
There's a power up that spawns in the maze that reveals the enemies' location.

Perception of real danger vs unreal danger, for sure. He loves stuff like scary movies, which don't actually threaten his life/sanity the way he believes ghosts/the supernatural can. Imo there's also something cathartic for an anxious person in scaring themselves for fun 🤔

JUMPSCARE GUIDE!! now, be aware that this game's like entire deal is avoiding monsters in a maze, so jumpscare deaths are like the whole deal. If you're easily scared by them, I would recommend skipping this one, listening to it without watching too closely (there are some great goofs), or else see my jumpscare guide below! That being said, you can often predict when the scare will come because they hear it coming, so it's not as scary as others.

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING, honestly my favorite part of the dapgames channel was when they’d do “spooky week” because i got to see them play scary games i never would’ve played otherwise, and this is giving the same sort of energy

The longer I watch Shane the more it's gradually revealed that he likes literally almost all the same things I like, and it leads me to believe there's probably a lot of us. It's such a specific vibe with specific overlaps, and he's like the beacon that summons us

This was so stressful to watch. I'm really bad with jumpscares, so whenever any attacks were initiated, I would get scared. In fact a few times, I audibly screamed 😂😂
